“Many thousands of live cockroaches, locusts and crickets into these restaurants. We apologise to customers and staff for any irritation, however, we had to act as forced deportations such as this and others are unacceptable, we must defend these people and their families from such dehumanised treatment.”

What a child, that's the go to reaction? To make some poor fucker on 7 quid an hour have to clean this mess up. I also imagine there were other customers eating in the restraunt at the time as well. Really pathetic behaviour

Yeah, would probably have had to call the council out or a private firm.

The company isn't behind these busts the immigration folks are. Hate em all you want for employing illegals but have no doubt it wasn't their idea to put these arrests into play. The company would have been given the choice comply or see you in court and they know they wouldn't have a hope in hell. What do these folks want for the rest of the staff to become unemployed, the company to go under? This lot should be cheering the company for employing so many illegals for so long if they follow their agenda not abusing them for saving their skins when they finaly got caught.

What a bunch of fucking idiots.

So if Byron were to be fined £10k per illegal worker would these guys be campaigning to pay the managers back for the active deception that these employees have committed?

Wait what is this protest meant to for? Support the immigrants, protest against the chain for hiring them, protesting the government for a sting operation, protesting burgers? Someone help me out here.

It was primarily in support of the immigrants, cockroaches were used in response to language used to refer to immigrants in the media. It was against the chain because they effectively worked for the Home Office in organising a sting operation.

Surely that would be illegal immigrants though?

Well yeah, it was done by people who take issue with the 'illegal' distinction. Workers of the world unite types.

[–]captain_blackadderEssex 6ポイント7ポイント  (0子コメント)

Bunch of wankers.

What a shower of cunts. Honestly how does pissing off some poor employee whose just lost a chunk of colleagues help anything whatsoever?

It's the dumbest move, literally just damaging a business and running off. If you're a genuine protester or activist you should allow yourself to be held accountable for your actions. Anything less is no better than some weak ass terrorism.

I would put money on Guy Fawkes masks being involved.

There are so many cameras around it would be hard to avoid being tracked down (if the police decided to put in the effort to find the perp), mask or no mask.

They've just made the lives of minimum wage workers who weren't involved at all harder and could potentially lose said jobs as a result.

These open borders lunatics might just be the thickest cunts on planet earth.

So the activists are making the lives of other workers harder because they were protesting a company who complied with the law......... That doesn't make these activists look good at all.

[–]disco_jimSomerset 5ポイント6ポイント  (0子コメント)

What a bunch of idiotic cunts.

If they really wanted to ruin them they could of just written "Chinese spoken" on Yelp or something.

I don't understand these protesters, the protestors who are protesting against corporate immorality then do something immoral and arguably more dangerous.

I reckon if they'll get done for Bio Terrorism...

[–]ArtistEngineerBritstralian in Cambridgeshire 1

I'd love to see these same people try the same trick at Heathrow border control, or in Parliament where the laws are actually made.

When exactly will the word 'activists' be replaced by 'dickheads'?

When exactly will the word 'activists' be replaced by 'dickheads'?

When eternity and a day passes, when every activist is dickhead,

when every activist is dickhead

Now, then.

I completely missed this story. Were the managers at the locations arrested as well? Hiring illegal immigrants is an offense (right to work is a legal requirement to be checked on hiring).

Managers who flout requirements/checks like this are also likely to be willing to not follow other employment laws as well, not to mention potential other abuses.

No they were not, apparently management took all the necessary precautions and the illegal immigrants faked their paperwork. The home office then realised what was happening and contacted Bryon who in turn organised the sing-meeting.

What a pile of cunts. I hope they get arrested and charged for their damage.

Jesus, look through the Twitter feed of the Jack Sprat linked in the article.

I must admit, I wouldn't have thought of that.

I did see (and report) a live rat in a posh and fashionable London restaurant once though.

No matter what Byron did, the protestor/s who did this malicious contamination have seriously messed up.

Oh yes, I agree. I can't think of a stupider form of protest, as cockroaches might also escape into the wider environment - dunno what the survival rate of locusts outside the tropics is.

Cockroaches do extremely well here, I have no idea how well locusts fare here though.

[–]PossiblyreefIsle of Wight 3

Decently at this time of year.

I keep them for reptile food and you've got to be incredibly careful about letting them get loose. Deliberately letting a normal box (15 or so) go Is enough for a reptile shop to report you to the police.

They will eat literally anything from plastic plants to the polystyrene background you put in reptile terrariums so any greenery nearby is fucked

Wow!

Would never have known their appetites were so ferocious, "plastic plants to the polystyrene background", and nor the releasing them was a reportable offence.

Thanks for the knowledge.

[–]PossiblyreefIsle of Wight 2

They're a good way of getting nutrients in to reptiles that are fussy. You can do a thing called gut loading whereby you put food in the tank for locusts to eat which in turn eat the lizards eat and have the stuff passed on to them
