Super Best Friends (TheSw1tcher on YT) has a lot of videos like that, though many times they have games that one (or more) in the group haven't played.

I've also been enjoying Super Beard Bros. Even if they don't know everything about a game, usually during a repetitive part they'll find some trivia and talk about it.

ProJared might also be your dood, as a lot of his videos are done on games that he's thoroughly vetted.

Not really a lets-play, but I'll take any chance I can get to recommend All Your History. It was a super informative documentary series on YouTube. Unfortunately they ruined it leading into Season 5, but the first 4 seasons are still fascinating looks into the humble beginnings of a lot of AAA developers.

Jon over at Many a True Nerd. He's done some amazing Fallout playthroughs, including a couple of FO3 and New Vegas where he does the entire game without healing once. It's fascinating to listen to him describe exactly what's going on, as he has an incredibly deep understanding of the game's underlying mechanics, which enables him to do stuff like a 50 hour+ playthrough without healing once. Also just a very genial, intelligent, and entertaining guy. He's great at interacting with fans, too; definitely check out his sub over at r/manyatruenerd.

EDIT: An word.

If you are into Bloodborne/Dark Souls check out EpicNameBro, he talks a lot about the lore of these games and has generally good knowledge. I recommend his Bloodborne playtrough, he worked on the official guide for the game and offers a lot of insight.

Same with his From the Dark playthrough of Dark Souls. It's incredibly in depth and probably his best series.

I don't watch too many let's plays, but I do watch DanQ8000's let's plays on games like Skate or racing games because he knows a considerable amount about those topics.

Lueroi is by far the best and most in depth pokemon lets player. I think he's done every version except the most recent one.

If you want games like Fallout, wingsofredemption(Jordie Jordan) is very knowledgeable but games like that get kind of dry for me to watch for very long.

Matthewmatosis (hope I spelled it right) has full or almost full playthroughs of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Devil May Cry and talks about the designers, publishers, art direction, small easter eggs, cool stuff you can find, design decisions, strategies, etc for several hours. He only makes them every couple months, but those are about 10 hours of content.

There's some guy for dark souls that knows all the lore there is basically and has lets plays where he describes it as he plays the game and as he gets to certain parts. I forget his name, I apologize, but if you can find him he sounds like the guy you want

MajorSlack's real walkthroughs are really good, he always knows where every enemy is going to be in every game and explains exactly what he's doing

Check out TotalBiscuit on YouTube. He's by far the most honest and unbiased reviewer/let's play content creator in the game, and deserves support from anyone who is a gamer

If you like Minecraft check out EthosLab. He's very knowledgeable about the game and does a good job of explaining things like complicated redstone wiring and game mechanics.

Bonus: He's a silly and polite Canadian.

Nanosuit Ninja's play of Crysis 1 and Warhead comes to mind. He was recruited by EA for promotion around the time of Crysis 3, so if you try to watch that it'll mostly just be "Check out these awesome features added!" But, his Crysis 1 videos are good. He plays on maximum difficulty, with mods adding more difficulty, and perma-death.

The Best Friends Zaibatsu (TheSw1tcher) have some pretty good LPs that they've done. They have a pretty good mix of blind and experienced play throughs. Usually they switch up pairs between the four of them so if someone knows a lot about a game they'll pair up with someone who doesn't know it was well. (I.e. Pat and Woolie for Dark Souls, Matt and Pat for Silent Hill.)

Matt has done a pretty damn good play through of No More Heros as well, and he has some pretty neat insight since he actually worked on testing for it.

Unless you are watching a lets player who is dedicated to the game and when you hear their name you think of that specific game, most lets players experience the video game along with you. Is there a game in specific that you want to watch? Maybe you can find a channel.

They're aren't any, sorry. There was a guy with a fake southern accent that he couldn't keep up that did a Sonic let's play where he explained every new enemy but that was a long time ago and I don't remember who it was. He was a goon.
