Twitter’s deep thoughts for Donald Trump, via #FakeTrumpIntelligenceBriefing

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will both begin receiving national intelligence briefings in the coming weeks. And the comedians of Twitter have some thoughts on what should — and should not — be included in Trump’s briefings.

Several of Trump’s critics have expressed concerns about giving the Republican presidential nominee access to classified information. Rep. David N. Cicilline (D-R.I.), asked President Obama to intercede and block Trump from receiving the briefings.

Senate Minority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) had a slightly different idea: “I would suggest to the intelligence agencies: If you’re forced to brief this guy, don’t tell him anything, just fake it, because this man is dangerous.”

Naturally, the Twitterverse was happy to chime in with alternative proposals on this front. The hashtag #FakeTrumpIntelligenceBriefing shot to the top of the trending list after freelance journalist and humorist Nina L. Diamond kicked things off. Here’s what she and others have to say:
