Are the shirt numbers finalized? (self.reddevils)

Each year I get a new home kit shirt. In the past I've always bought one with my own name on it.

Last season I changed it up and grabbed a Rooney 10 shirt, and obviously being Rooney there were no fears over his number changing. This year I'm tossing up between Rashford, Martial, and Zlatan, but with all the fuss around Martial losing the number 9, I'm a little bit skeptical about the numbers staying as they are.

Aside from players leaving on transfers, is there any chance the the announced numbers could still change?

I believe the last word is that the current ones are provisional. They probably will stay the same as they are now but i'd hold off just to be safe.

Numbers are never finalised until after the window, they can change up until then. I normally wait to buy a kit for this reason.

Shirts always drop in price after the season has begun as well.

Think Martial, Zlatan, Carrick, Shaw, Pogba 6 etc. will all stay the same. Doubts about the fringe players maybe leaving or getting numbers from squad members who might leave.

Yes, but extremely unlikely.

The numbers are attached to the players as we are selling them on the new kit via the website. The reason it shows as provisional is because they have yet to be submitted to the FA.

I went for the new kit at the time with Valencia and 25 on the back, about a week later he was given No.7.

Rashford, Martial and Zlatan are defenitely not living the club this season. So its perfectly safe to buy kits with their number. Unless Rashford or Martial wants 8 and Mata leaves which is unlikely.

No, the numbers are not final yet. When they announced them they said something about them being subject to change or provisional or something.

I'm waiting for Pogba #6.

If you buy from united direct they will replace the shirt if the number changes. But you have to select the player from the drop down list not type it in.
