Is that what they teach in murica? The western front was hilariously amateurish on both sides. Literally enjoying every advantage militarily possible, the allies had such a hard time facing against mostly unmotorized and undersupplied german forces that consisted more and more the longer the fighting lasted out of utterly green conscripts, the longer the fighting the more questionable the physical quality too. Hundreds of thousands of german PoWs taken and yet the allready small contingent of Wehrmacht and Volkssturm held strategic valuable positions that made the american supplying their troops a nightmare.

The western front was anything BUT a roflstomp, which is mainly due to bad leadership and overall flawed planning and setting up priorities. They could've pushed deep into german territory from the initial landings in 1.5 months if they'd employed their mechanized advantages in terrain a few miles south of the bocage but instead decided to be completely oblivious to warfare on a strategic scale.

There's a good reason the western allies didn't move against the soviets and gave them everything they wanted in the peace conference. The soviets fought the actual german army in a war on a scale unimaginable compared to the western front and transformed from a purged excuse of an army into a capable fighting force able to wage war on a scale the western allies never managed to pull off competently.

When the battle of the bulge happened the Germans sent everything they had left at us. All of their tank divisions, skilled troops, and trained infantry was put into one last offensive. When it got annihilated the Road to Germany was open and we rolled into Germany quite quickly. They had no resources they could move from the eastern front so we faced minor resistance after the battle of the bulge.

Also I blame Montgomery for slowing the advance down. If patton got his materials we would have been in Berlin months earlier. Old and always slow Monty couldn't even get his half-decent plan to work because he kept allowing the line to stop.

K.... So why did you just give me a list of battles on the eastern front from 1943 to 1945?
