I'm probably gonna get downvoted here, but seriously, just after reading a few comments on posts on the front page today, common and debunked gems of Republican propaganda constantly pop out. Stuff like:
"Declaring independence from Great Britain was the only option and the Founding Fathers did it to save lives" (this one's particularly bad),
"George Washington was bad, but not nearly as bad as George III",
"Saratoga was the beginning of the end for the British",
"The American Revolution was the war between good (Patriots) and evil (Loyalists)" (I wonder where does Lafayette fit on this moral scale).
These sort of historical hallucinations are no longer taken seriously even in American academia (and regarded as what they actually are: post-war propaganda), but continue to be spouted by some conservatives in USA and are really just as bad as most excuses Teaboos use. Seriously, do people still believe this mythology in 2016? And if you do, sorry for ruining your circlejerk.
