I haven't been that impressed by Schneiderlin since he came but there aren't many better DM's than him we can realistically get. We've been linked a lot to Matuidi but he isn't really a DM but rather a box to box CM that's often in the 16 yard box of the opponent, you don't want him as your anchor. If we would bring someone in I would love William Carvalho from Sporting. Just came off a good euros where he ended up on the winning side and he has great impact as a anchor type player, can play the ball and is great at breaking up play, nightmare to play against. Would definitely cost a fair bit, probably in the region of £ 35-40 mill. But after the euros he had but I'd honestly go for it, most quality DM's are in their 30's. William Carvalho is only 24 and is already a top player in his position. Luiz Gustavo and Allan(Napoli) are two great alternatives, both incredible DM's that are very underrated at playing their role, i'd take any. I don't really a think a DM is our biggest need though, if we get Pogba we'll probably have to wait until next year for a DM and we probably want a top class CB if available aswell. If Schneiderlin can get back to his saints form i'll have no problem in having him as our main player in the DM position. He is good enough for the job at his best but if he continues like he has we might have to look for a replacement.
