Boltivate allows you to monitor, lock and secure your home from anywhere in the world using your smart phone device.
About this project
Boltivate Lock allows you to monitor, lock and secure your home from anywhere in the world using your smart phone device. It is the only product that is compatible with your pre-existing deadbolt lock that creates a wireless lock. Boltivate will notify you of any disturbances via an email and phone call, asking "Are you safe?" If the answer is yes, no action will be taken. However, if you are not safe, Boltivate will immediately alert the police. Boltivate uses VPN for a secured connection between your phone, and Boltivate lock.

LockDown Alert Steps:
LockDown allows you to lock all connected devices at one time with a push of a button. Simply log in to the Boltivate application, click LockDown, and initiate the LockDown. The LockDown alarm is initiated, and if any disturbances occur while you are away, you will be immediately notified via phone notification and email. Leave your home in comfort knowing your home is safe and secure.
The virtual keys feature is a simple way to share access to your home to an expected visitor. In three quick and easy steps, a friend or family member can have access to a specified door for a specific amount of time. This is a great solution for Airbnb hosts or home rentals.
Having 24/7 live support is an absolute essential at Boltivate. We believe that if our customer's can't contact us at anytime of the day, no matter what the circumstances are; then we have failed. No matter what time it is, or what day it might be, we are dedicated to serving our customers no matter what.
Questions, comments or concerns? Contact our support team that is available 24/7, all year round. Additionally for customers who have spent $200+ at Boltivate, we offer Dedicated Support; this is a department with fewer calls, and shorter wait times. Dedicated Support is a "Fast-Pass" to speak with an agent, or get any issue resolved almost immediately.

I grew up in Saddle River, New Jersey. Ever since I was 11 years old, I have developed an extreme passion for technology and programming. At 11 years old, I taught myself (With the help of YouTube) how to program and code. Since then the skills have stuck with me and I use them almost every day. I founded Boltivate Technologies back in 2014, and I am now ready to take this company to the next level. I have always been fascinated by technology - and the smart lock was definitely a challenge, but not one I couldn't conquer.

Risks and challenges
We work extremely hard to get to this point and intend to do everything within our power to deliver Boltivate to you as seamless as possible. The following are risks and challenges that could occur:
MANUFACTURING: There is a 10 week delay from the end of the campaign until Boltivate will ship to your doorstep. This time is dedicated for testing, production, and configuration. All of it is for your security, and benefit.
PRODUCT ADJUSTMENTS: In the case we would like to alter Boltivate and create any adjustments, it will only delay the launch by an expected 1 week. You will be notified if this happens, but we are trying to make any adjustments before the campaign is over so we do not create a delay.
FULFILLMENT: If the funding goal is reached, we will do all we possibly can to fulfill.

Thats where we need your help. As of right now, we have a finished design, layout, and programming; think of it as we have all of the virtual things done, and now need to get the physical things done. Our next steps are Design Engineering, Prototype development and testing, and legal documentation and final touches. We cannot do this without your help.

Once on store-shelves, it is important to us that Boltivate remains affordable and within reach for all types of families. The best way to achieve this is to use full-scale manufacturing to make the parts. However this is a huge upfront investment required by us, and we simply just don't have the money available to make this investment. Here is the best part... You can help get Boltivate manufactured and be one of the first people to get your house secured, and mobile simply by contributing to our campaign!

Boltivate Lock connects to your home's wifi network, and a connection is made from that wifi network to our servers. Using your phone's wifi, or cellular data; your phone will connect to our server. It is a complicated process, but all works out in the end; and is much more secure than a Bluetooth, or alternative wifi connection.
