I just found out that one of my favorite older cousins isn't my cousin. Yesterday his mom, on her deathbed, told him that my late uncle wasn't his father. He just told me. We are both shocked.
I really feel like dna tests should be required by law, a man should never unknowingly raise a child that isn't his. I've discussed the issue with some friends and most people are against it somehow. The guys are about 50/50 (didn't want to risk hurting the woman's feelings) and ALL of the women were against it ("he should trust me! Blah blah...").
I figure that if women can make it illegal to flirt with them, illegal for a man to open his legs on a subway, along with all of the other laws and court cases that favor them, we could at least have a law that protects men in this one specific way. But I doubt it'll ever happen... I really just needed to vent before I grabbed a cpl drinks with my "cousin".
