Seeing as how our initial decision to remove spoiler-content was met with considerable backlash, including death threats and even a lawsuit (wat), we've made the decision to make a dedicated mega-thread for said content. We made the first decision out of respect for the developers, who expressed that they wish for people to not watch the leaks.

To be clear, any spoiler/leaked content posted to the sub itself will still be removed (until the game releases), but they will be redirected here. You can also join our discord, we have a dedicated channel for posting and discussing spoiler content.

Some rules for this megathread:

  1. Top level comments must contain a link to something spoilery.

  2. Links to videos must be made to VODs ONLY and it must be un-monetized.

  3. Links to screenshots should use imgur.com or similar.

  4. If you see a [removed] top level comment it's because it did not contain a link or was in violation of the second or third rules.

So here's the deal, here's my compromise.

  • I am not going to post any more video uploads, it is what it is.

  • I will post a set amount of screenshots at the end of my journey sometime next week, and that set amount can be decided by you guys as a whole. I'd prefer it be a reasonable amount, like 5. Basically meaning, when it's all said and done, the extent of my leaks are going to be my 5 favorite screenshots I took to emphasize the best moments of my journey.

So is 5 the number? 6? What do you guys think is a reasonable amount that wouldn't spoil too much. And it would be JUST screenshots, nothing else, and it would be up to you to analyze them and figure out what's going on in them.

Okay, the one picture a day thing seems pretty well received, so let's do it!

Note: I'm going to be tricky dick with some of these and include subtle things to ponder in them. :)

These WILL contain spoilers so view at your own risk. But they won't be bash-you-over-the-head spoilers, just make-you-think-a-bit spoilers.

I'm sure it's already been posted but can't see it anywhere - but here is the intro screen of when you discover your first planet.

Notice it says "Euclid Galaxy".

There's a couple of things here. It's been said we all start in the same galaxy so it will be interesting to see when other people get the game whether or not we do start in the Euclid Galaxy.

It also begs the question because the box and the recent marketing say "reach the centre of the universe" that why point out which galaxy we're in if it has no use to know right off the bat - certainly not next to the planet name? That to me indicates that you'll eventually pass into another galaxy at some point BEFORE the centre and you'll see "X planet (x galaxy)" and be like I MADE IT!

Another thing, the galaxy name doesn't seem to be procedural - Euclid was a mathematician and we all know Sean loves his Maths.

How a picture of a living, jumping alien pineapple can be possibly considered a spoiler considering most of us won't ever see it is beyond me. I mean, we're going to have entire threads of pictures of strange discoveries like that people have made once the game comes out because practically nobody else will ever get to see them otherwise, how are they fucking spoilers? Sharing those discoveries is one of the major points of the game. This is just the first example of it. What exactly did it, a creature you'll probably never encounter, spoil for you?

That's what i don't get about /u/daymeeuhn not wanting to post a bunch of pictures of what he's found. Dude, we're probably NEVER going to see what you've seen anyway, it doesn't matter. You're not spoiling anything. You'll simply be the first of what a ton of people here will be doing when it comes out anyway. Because we'll never see these things otherwise. A lot of people here don't seem to know the definition of "spoiler".

Since Daymeeuhn hasn't confirmed this and many of you want to get into space fast. Here is what resources it should take to fix your ship and refuel it. (using Daymeeuhn videos as reference)

  • To repair "Launch Thruster" you will need 4x Carite sheets, Carlite sheets cost 50x iron each, total needed 200x iron

  • To Repair the "Pulse Engine" you will need 2x Carite sheets (total of 100x iron) 200x Heridium and 20x Zinc

  • To Refuel the "Pulse Engine" you will need Thamium9 (or other fuel source if found)

  • So to acheive takeout off you need a grand total of

    • 300x iron
    • 200x Heridium
    • 20x Zinc
    • an Unknown amount of Thamium9

    People who dislike spoilers remind me of people against gay marriage. "it'll ruin the sanctity of my game!". I don't understand why other people watching spoiler videos are so concerned. Just don't watch them and move on. It doesn't effect you at all

        Was going to make a separate thread for this but I guess it's considered a partial spoiler:

        So from watching the videos, how awesome would it be if you really could not only "own" a pet creature on a planet, but actually take it with you and have it hunt for goodies on other planets. However, you'd have to be considerate of its homeworld conditions. Perhaps have a habitat attachment you could build for your ship, not let it out on planets that could kill it, etc.

        Anyone else feel like that 10% life rule has been changed to some extent? How unlikely was it that this guy didn't start on a completely barren planet? All of the pre-release footage we've seen definitely doesn't convey 10% 90% rule, so I wonder if Sean just decided to alter it at some point.

        Two questions for /u/Daymeeuhn 1. Have you seen the center of the universe yet? 2. Your video showed a little bit of the crafting system, I was curious about the amount of elements and if there are certain ones that are impossible to find on other planets?
