Do you say that because (1) Australia confiscated guns owned lawfully by citizens or (2) Australia doesn't have what America has--a large, poor, violent black populations which starts unneeded conflicts?

Not OP, but i'm guessing it's because (3) our gun-nuts don't own the senate and as a result we're able to enact effective gun laws.

People who need guns have guns (also the gun buyback wasn't a confiscation, and compensated people the value of their firearms, AND was only for semi-automatic rifles. Handgun rules vary from state to state but they're mostly legal). The average fuckwit who'd take a gun into a club because he's got a problem with someone there, however, doesn't need a gun.

Second sentence is wrong.

Third sentence ignores the number of mass shootings in the US over the last several years. Just because a particular person's chance of dying in one is low doesn't make them rare.
