In r/videos, they don't allow any politics. Their rules specifically says:
"A post constitutes 'politics' and is therefore removable if it satisfies any of the following conditions...The video looks to draw attention to a social cause or issue... common examples include: (a) Immigration/Refugee Crisis. (b) Feminism/Mens-Rights (c) Arab Spring/ISIS..."
That's why they remove anything about Muslims, men's rights, or videos mocking feminists/social justice warriors. And yet smack-dab on their front page today, is this post of a Muslim woman bravely taking off her head scarf in front of an Islamic cleric (which is great to see) but that's clearly related to feminism, Arab Spring, women's rights, etc.
And there's no way the mods haven't seen it. It was posted 14 hours ago, has over 4,000 upvotes, and is currently on the frontpage of r/all.
See, it's not that they don't allow politics. They do. It just has to be the kind of politics they like. That's how they use selective enforcement of the rules to create a safe space for their own opinions. This is what we don't often see here on r/undelete. The posts that clearly violate a mod's rules yet they chose not to remove.
