Situation with Matuidi (self.reddevils)

Is he still an option? It was reported that he was allowed to travel to Manchester to discuss a potential transfer and Emery hasn't ruled it out. I know his name was thrown around as an alternative to Pogba, but if we do land Pogba do you think they would work alongside each other? It didn't seem to work particularly well for France in the Euros.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I think he's a pretty average midfielder just with an incredible engine. He'd run all day but I don't think he's anything special at all. Seeing as its looking very likely that we have Pogba I hope we leave him in Paris.

Read again. I said the partnership didn't work, not Matuidi. Pogba didn't work well in the DM role.

Why would we buy another midfielder when we already have Herrera, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Schweinsteiger, Carrick and now it seems Pogba?

There is no point in signing Matuidi if we get Pogba.

If we sign another midfielder it will be either a 10 or a DM.
