Is this a job scam? (self.canada)

I recently applied for Custom Service at a kps-consulting company and they instead offered the position of "billing clerk". What makes me feel strange is: 1. Very high salary for this position (24/hour) 2. No interview, you just apply for it and then it's done 3. Requires me to send identity and link bank account with Interac Email Money Transfer 4. www.kps-consulting.com seems to be legitimate, but the website they provided is www.kps-consulting.ca, which after a whois check reveals that it has connection to bit-coin. 5. Talks about probation time of 3 months and in which I have to deal with donation receiving and converting them to Bitcoin and transfer to other accounts, which is shabby.

What do you say? I'm going to write an email to kps-consulting.com (not .ca) to confirm this, and I'm 90% sure that this is a scam.

I'd report them to the cops if I were you. A "consulting" company that accepts "donations" that they convert to bitcoin?

Sounds like a fake donation scam they're running, and they need suckers to accept the donations into their bank account and then convert to bitcoin so it doesn't get traced back to them. When someone eventually complains, the authorities would trace it back to your phone and your bank account and nothing else.

If your own bank account is involved in any way other than as somewhere to direct deposit your pay to, it's a scam.

most likely you get checks in the mail that you cash, convert into bitcoins, and send. The checks are fake and once the bank discovers that, the charges are reversed. By that time, you would have already sent them the money and you'll be on the hook for them.

I got this exact same offer today. I was pretty pumped about the job until they sent me the employment duties which include what OP stated. That's when I became skeptical and a quick google search led me to this thread. Is there a way we can "accept the donations" and fall off the face of the earth without it being traced to us hahaha

I guess the said "donation" needs to be held in the bank account for a certain amount of time before it can be withdrawn. If you do nothing during the period, they would simply withdraw the money. And if you do send Bitcoin (I'd say they would tell you to do so on your own account and will reimburse you later), all the better.
