Well it's pretty likely a lot of them would be put down.

Would you think that is ultimately better than the life they have now?

I follow BigCatRescue from time to time and watched some of their adoptions from other big cat shelters and zoos etc.

Usually those places looked far worse than BJWT from what I can tell, and they have less animals hosted in total.

So that worked out always pretty well. But in the case of BJWT it seems to be a real issue to make sure you improve their conditions.

I see killing them not really as an improvement. At least not in the case of the healthy cats.

Right now in the world I honestly see no good solution for these cats, as if they are honestly rescued they come from even worse conditions.

Could you say that improving conditions even slightly is still better than not at all?

Could one claim that BJWT would lead to a vacuum in the Latin American part of america for big cat rescue, even if it was never equipped to handle it?

I basically see nothing good coming out of reducing the income of BJWT because all it would lead to are even worse conditions for those cats because there seems to be no group or organisation would or could take them in.
