These are footballers we're talking about, not candy bars. They don't have a fixed "price tag". Players are worth whatever the selling club wants them to be worth/thinks they can ask for. When we come calling, clubs usually raise the asking price because they know we'll pay out the ass.

Why does everyone on the continent feel the need to repeat the name of the person or thing they are talking about before answering the question? I know it's probably lazy journalism but it's a weird pet peeve.

"Pogba? We'll keep him"

"Barcelona? They are a great club and I'd like to play for them"

"My balls? Itchy as all fuck"

I think they aren't repeating it, but the paper will add the question for context. Typically in a press conference, the press will ask "what about Paul Pogba", and the interviewee will just say "we'll keep him". So it wouldn't make sense to just print "WE'LL KEEP HIM" without context.
