Europe is like a parallel universe version of America where sanctity of life is second to political correctness.

More like the ghost state of future to come.

If Hillary wins, yes, absolutely.

New wilayas of the Caliphate.

But doesn't the US have issues with shootings and murders? Is it political correctness that not more is done to resolve the issue?

The only difference is that in the US they don't hit the news because the killers are not jihadists.

Um, did you miss all the recent shootings against policemen by BLM supporters?

edit: Getting downvoted for watching the news, nice.

I'm talking about small incidents like this one, or the one at the swimming pool, where one or two people got stabbed. If the attacker was not a jihadist, you wouldn't have heard about it.

The US is a big country and murder happens everyday. If it's a politically motivated shooting than I understand why it would hit the news but if it's a domestic dispute than I'd rather not hear about it every day.

I can't speak for the US, but where I live in Australia the local (and sometimes national) news almost always covers an incident where one or more people are stabbed/shot/assaulted in the country, regardless of the attacker's personal beliefs.

There is no inherent bias, just standard operation journalists having to cut news items in order to meet a daily quota and your own confirmation bias.

Which they do based on what people want to read. People want to read about things that concern them, and Islamic terrorism is one of those things.

So now you're saying it's the people's fault, and not the media's. You could have said that in the first place, instead of insinuating the media industry has an agenda.

You're joking right? Mass killers are touted around on the news like high score targets.

One dead priest is not really a mass killing, is it?

(no pun intended)

So am I. Would you have heard about it in global news if one guy in the US got stabbed to death by a lunatic?

Was this global news? Genuinely curious, my only real news outlet is various subs on reddit.

I think its fair to report smaller incidents, when they are part of a very real pattern in religious/politically motivated attacks, in a peaceful part of the world.

edit: Look at the recent cop killings in the US, those were a couple of apparently wrong killings of black people. They were all over the news.

America has shootings in ghettos, stay out of their and your fine, In Europe its a free for all.

Not really, it's just that the sanctity of life for the criminal and the terrorist is on the same level as that for everyone else.

The problem with taking that away is that you get Guantanamo Bay and other such pleasantries.
