FAQ
Q: Does Being in a Specific Stage Guarantee Delivery?
A: No. While achieving a key milestone may mean a campaigner is closer to completing their project, delays and failures can still happen. As always, backers (you!) decide the validity and worthiness of the project you support. Contributions can be refunded if requested before the campaign ends and you can read more about our refund policy here.
Q: What’s the Process for Determining Which Milestone a Campaign Has Reached?
A: First, campaigners select a desired Product Stage and include specific information on their campaign page, whether that’s including a video of the first working version of a product or sharing photos of their product production process. Next, the Indiegogo team reviews the information, decides on the appropriate Product Stages, and notifies the campaigner.
Q: Does Every Campaign Start at the Same Milestone?
A: No. Indiegogo is an open platform and welcomes campaigners at any point in the development cycle.
Q: Where Can I Learn More About a Campaign’s Milestones?
A: We suggest you read over the campaign page and look at the information campaigners include, whether that’s a video of their concept or photos of production. If you have questions about the product or the campaign itself, you can reach out to the campaigner by using the “Ask a question” link on the campaign page.
Q: Why Don’t All Campaigns Have This?
A: Product Stages is only available to campaigns with physical products. In addition, Product Stages isn’t required, so campaigners with physical products may opt not to select a Product Stage.
Q: How Do I Know if a Campaign Has a Specific Product Stage?
A: Any Product Stage badge will appear at the top right of the “Overview” section on a campaign page. If a campaign does not have a physical product, they cannot receive a Product Stage badge.
