I'm probably gonna get downvoted here, but seriously, just after reading a few comments on posts on the front page today, common and debunked gems of Republican propaganda constantly pop out. Stuff like:

"Hiroshima and Nagasaki was the only option and Truman did it to save lives" (this one's particularly bad),

"Stalin was bad, but not nearly as bad as Hitler",

"D-day was the beginning of the end for the Nazis",

"WW2 was the war between good (Allies) and evil (Nazis)" (I wonder where does Stalin fit on this moral scale).

These sort of historical hallucinations are no longer taken seriously even in American academia (and regarded as what they actually are: post-war propaganda), but continue to be spouted by some conservatives in USA and are really just as bad as most excuses Wehraboos use. Seriously, do people still believe this mythology in 2016? And if you do, sorry for ruining your circlejerk.

And here comes the strawman. Well, in Lithuania both Stalinist and Nazi symbols are banned today, since both regimes killed millions and there a plenty of retard apologists for both. It's cynical and pointless to argue which regime was worse and the only people who do that are neo-Nazis and some conservatives in the West, who don't want to admit the cynicism and hypocrisy of the alliance between the Soviets and the Allies. And Stalin committed Holodomir, deTatarization of Crimea, russification of the Baltics, all of these were ethnic cleansings and genocides that along with his usual political genocides, ended up killing more people than Hitler, and like with Hitler, they only stopped because of his own mortality.
