Glorifying the USSR and saying bullshit like "Nazis did Katyn" completely undermines our credibility and will make wehraboos or anyone on the fence of vulnerable to their Kool-aid more likely to believe Nazi sympathetic myths.

As for saying that the Germans got what they deserved, that's also very damaging for the goal of rehabilitating wehraboos. They believe that everyone else really thinks that, and it just validates all their closet Nazi BS when they see it. Plus they shut down and go into a rage when they see anyone talking about killing Germans.

It's completely normal to think about taking violent revenge when you see images of the Holocaust, but just let those thoughts be. Have them and move on without acting on them. Wehraboos have more thoughts about killing the Germans more then anyone; it's why they spend so much time trying to minimize the role and knowledge of the Germans in the Holocaust.

When I start to have violent fantasies about taking revenge on the Germans, I start with the assumption that they would have deserved anything, and then I decide that regardless of that, it would have been wrong to act on those impulses. What kind of legacy would it have left if we had responded to the worst genocide in the world by killing everyone connected with it? There was a lack of justice, but we executed the Nazis most responsible. If it's really bothering you, go to /r/Anger or PM me about it. Don't forget that people fought so you wouldn't have to be burdened by the Nazis; don't burden yourself.
