Since he declined speaking to the NAACP convention, I think we need to get prepared to show up in his AMA.

Please list an issue you're interested in and what quick research you need to formulate your question. I'll try to help and I hope others will as well.

Edit: Okay, you've convinced me that individual action is probably not the smartest move. So, what are some other options?

    I don't think it's worth it. I could leave a (heavily downvoted) question and get hateful private messages and / or responses and for what exactly? He will never see it (or rather have a PR person read it to him).

    These types of AMAs are the worst. See: the Milo AMA last week. If you want to jump in there are argue with people from stormfront and pol, that's your choice.

    Personally I don't find it worthwhile to argue with racists on the internet. They have their gish gallops ready to paste in response to anything remotely objective regarding race / Islam / gender / whatever.

      I my suggestion to how we respond is with a single account posing 5-10 questions and everyone upvote those questions. I don't know if that breaks the 'quette' but if we could have a /u/blackdelegation posing questions that would make it really easy for us to show that Trump will be ignoring our questions or deliberately misinterpreting them.

      I think it's less about losing karma and more about the mental effects of seeing the influence of a group of people who are actively and violently anti-black (among other awful things). It could be frightening and stressful for some people here.

      His main boards of support are all pretty heavily neo-nazi/white nationalist. They have almost 200,000 subs and are the most active on Reddit. They're also pretty openly racist/homophoic. I admire you trying to challenge him but be ready for some hardcore racial abuse.

      You could choose to ask him about the rampant racism of his supporters on the internet.

      Yeah, its just as bad as Coontown was but this time its political so the admins can't ban it or else it will be featured in the news as "liberals try to silence conservatives on Reddit".

      The only hope I have of Reddit getting better is if Trump loses and the admins finally quarantine it. Otherwise, if he wins, they can't ban/quarantine it for at least 4 years, plus they'll get even more subs. Its making virtually every decent size sub pretty garbage.

      I hear you, but we have to find a way to make him to pay attention to our issues, so we have to keep showing up. He keeps fanning the flames that minorities are the problem with the country.

      And, maybe, this could also expose the hatred/racism problem within Reddit in ways that can't be ignored? The media is going to be paying attention to his AMA. That how I found out about it.

      Heh. No idea, it was a kind of tongue-in-cheek suggestion, I didn't think anyone would seriously consider it. Plus it's pretty short notice.

      ... but in thinking about it, it could be interesting if you could pull it off. It definitely would make for a few blog articles at the very least that reddit users showed Trump their backs when he came to do an AMA.

      What also would be interesting is the fact that the Trump fanboys (in this scenario, it's a massively successful boycott and they're the only ones left on the site that day), being the majority voice on reddit for the day, might be reeeeeally revealing about themselves, which could potentially make for more news.

      As for how, the only way I know is to post the hell out of the plan - when and why - on all the major subs between today and tomorrow. That, and/or hope something like HuffPo or something gets wind of it and prints up a "massive boycott planned for reddit tomorrow to snub Trump's planned AMA" piece
