Mino Raiola 'cancels Paul Pogba medical' with Manchester United
Paul Pogba’s world record transfer to Manchester United appears under threat with reports that agent Mino Raiola has cancelled a proposed medical for the Juventus midfielder.
United are believed to have agreed a fee of £92 million with Juventus and a package of around £17m per year with Pogba, but talks have hit an impasse over Raiola’s commission.
The agent, who has already taken Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to United this summer, is reported to be demanding £17m to make the deal happen - with a dispute arising over which club picks up the bill.
Raiola was pictured having fun in a swimming pool with the French star on Pogba’s Instagram feed on Monday and reports in Spain claim he has upped the ante in the transfer stand-off.
Madrid-based daily As says Pogba was due to undergo a medical in a Miami hospital but the appointment has now been cancelled by Raiola.
There are some suggestions that Pogba would prefer a move to Real Madrid, who have firmed up their interest at a late stage, rather than returning to Old Trafford.
