Previously we saw reports of a €110m + €10m add ons bid rejected, Juve wanted an additional €10m. Shortly after, reports came in of a bid being accepted and Woodward flying back to close the deal (from La Stampa no less) this would seem to indicate a deal.

Then reports come out of his agent "forcing" him to go MU and Juve trying to persuade him to stay to win the CL. This is what I don't buy. MU wouldn't have gone through this long negotiation if they weren't confident Pogba would join (once terms had been agreed with all parties). This seems like Juve are trying to show that they did everything to keep Pogba and that it was his evil agent that took him away.

Whenever there seems to be an end in sight it vanishes.

I doubt Raiola can force Pogba to do anything. Agents are actually employed by the players. Pogba can just fire Raiola. Gotze's agent tried to force him to move to Liverpoo, and Gotze fired him shortly after.

He also won the World Cup, denying Messi and cementing Ronaldo's superiority.

Also have a lot of love for Higuain for similar reasons. Especially if his transfer encourages Juve to sell Pog.

This is why I don't buy the narrative of Pogba wanting to stay but his agent is trying to make him move for financial gain. But I'm sure Raiola wouldn't care if it took some heat off Juve (to get the deal done) and Pogba, so his client looks better.

Neither do I. It's in Pogba's best interest to get a pay rise of from 4.5 million a year to 13 million.

Yes of course that is what they are doing. They want their fans to know they tried their hardest to keep him. That is why every mention of this deal is about how much more money they want and how they won't pay agents fees (which I privately doubt as they still will have to deal with Raiola for another of their players, and you don't want to burn bridges with mega agents since he was the one that brought them Pogba for cheap in the first place).

The Spanish media meanwhile have been on about how he really wants Real and how they have desperately been trying to get him but again his evil agent and the ridiculous wages are keeping them at bay.

I have a feeling Raoila is intentionally creating some unreasonable demands regarding his agent fee to delay the deal. In the meantime, Madrid seems to be mustering up a deal themselves which may see them land Pogba. Would be extremely unfortunate if it was the case, but I am getting this vibe. Pogba seems to prefer Madrid.
