I think it will be about who proves them selves in training I don't think any one has any idea whether or not hell play if you have zlatan you play zlatan but what do you do about the team captain who's also a club legend in my eyes it's a very difficult situation I would image my opinion is start zlatan who has played striker way better than Rooney has in the last two years but i have no clue

Unpopular opinion: I think we can all agree Rooney is no longer cut out for No.9 Position and some would speculate if he can play the No.10 Role to the highest standard. Personally I was really looking foreward to him in a deeper midfield role, which Mou has categoricaly ruled out. I think he will start as our No.10 But if he gets out performed by Mata/Mhki/Memphis and Mou decides to bench him to make room then I think he wont have much longer at the Club. IF that happens, I cant see him staying past next summer, or even this January. Just a thought, I do love our Wazza

If we get Pogba I think Rooney has to prove a hell of a lot on the field to prove his place on this team. He usually has very slow starts to seasons but this time he will have to work and focus hard or he'll find himself in a place he probably never imagined he would be in.

He'll probably play in about 30 games next season. A little more if he plays well and a little less if he doesnt.
