That video on his twitter page was pretty good. The last line really got me "we need a president that's used to signing the front of a check not the back".

I was reading Cruz' teleprompter. There was never an endorsement on there, the vote your conscience stuff was. So I'm guessing Trump did read the final speech.

Do you think Trump knew it would ruin him on his own so he chose not to intervene?

No, before the Gingrich teleprompter snapshot, there were reports that the Republican National Committee was infuriated because Cruz changed his speech. He handed them one speech two days before, and altered it before he went up.

The speech on the teleprompter that Cruz's people gave to the tech running the station was not the speech he handed in two days prior.

If these reports are true, then (taken in connection with his broken pledge to support the nominee) he really is earning his reputation as a sneaky, underhanded little man.

He just backstabbed Trump like he earlier backstabbed Ben Carson.

Anyone who could so cavalierly lie would easily backstab the American people.

"But I support the Constitition!" Ted pleaded.

"But that's not the Constitution we saw two days earlier!"

"Well, yes, I know. Heidi and I support the North American Union. We collapsed what you used to call the United States. George Soros and the other international elites wanted this new nation under foreign interests, and it's that Constitution that I support. So I made a little switcheroo . . . like I did earlier with my Trump speech. Hope you don't mind."

Written versus the prompt.

All he said is he saw the speech. Which he clearly did - because Gingrich was going to reference the endorsement. It was obviously changed after The Don's approval.

As a Texan who will be voting in Cruz's reelection bid in 2018, I would like to say something right now because

I say this every night, every day, every afternoon, because it's so true...

cruz was salty as fuck, he was really so delusional that he believed donald stole his dream from him. No one would have elected that slimy fuck in a million years, trump did him a favor

Hillary would have destroyed him. Ted is insane. He is one of the most hated politicians in the US. He has a following of religious right folks and some tea party. Not enough to ever win that office. Also, the cuck is a Canadian.

How the fuck was he running for president if he's Canadian?

E1: Apparently he's dual citizen. I did not know you were automatic citizen if born out of the country to only one American citizen.

[–]meanwhile_in_SCSC 8ポイント9ポイント  (0子コメント)

There was a great Molyneux episode a few months back where he went through the current Supreme Court decisions re that... Basically the issue of Ted Cruz's type of citizenship and running for president hasn't been decided yet. Not illegal, but not legal either. El Rato doesn't care.

NO ONE LIKES TED CRUZ

THAT'S WHY HE DOESN'T HAVE ONE, NOT ONE, NOT A SINGLE ENDORSEMENT OF ONE HIS COLLEAGUES IN THE SENATE! AND HE WORKS WITH THESE PEOPLE EVERYDAY!

I read on Brietbart that after the speech, Cruz walked into a suite filled with donors and the first one came up to him and said, "You're a disgrace!" to his face!! Then another person was so upset with Cruz that he had to be physically restrained.

Cruz is probably sitting in his hotel room texting Amanda Carpenter asking her room number so they can spoon while pretending he didn't just make the biggest mistake of his political life. She'll tell him how brave he was while ignoring all TV and Internet reports describing the self-inflicted destruction and death of his political future.

Hey, crazy girl is crazy, but I won't say no to Amanda Carpenter

I hope Cruz tries to go for the nomination on 2024 and president trump agreed to endorse him. Then he goes on stage and says the exact same thing Cruz did.

He would never get that far in the process after this

First, he'd never make it that far. This was career suicide for him, he's shown that his word is not his bond and exposed the slime underneath.

Second, Trump would never stoop to his level. He'd act like a fucking man and endorse, leaving that petty shit to the crooks like Hillary and slimeballs like Cruz.

Wow. You lose donors, you're done.

Cruz is done without donors because he can't self-fund nor raise enough Bernie dough from the sheeple.

Heidi Cruz also had to be escorted out to keep her safe, and people chanted Goldman Sachs as she went by.

The man is a narcissistic sociopath. He thinks that he's the second coming of Reagan or some shit.

He couldn't take it that trump beat him soundly. He couldn't just fade into obscurity and ignore the convention like Kaisch and Jeb. Instead he lied about his pledge. He lied about his speech. Then he went up there and did his bullshit to try and throw a wrench into trumps candidacy.

He couldn't possibly just let the spotlight be on someone else. He couldn't suck up his pride.

He thinks this will position him for a 2020 run, but the vast majority of republicans will remember this and never vote for him out of spite. His arrogant narcissistic personality couldn't let him see how this would backfire.

Don't think for a second he did this because he "believes in freedom". He did it for his own selfish pride.

Ted's 2020 positioning is particularly hilarious. Not since Mitt have I seen more delusion.

He is betting on either a Trump loss or a Trump presidential disaster. Much like Trump was against the war in Iraq and can now claim he was right, that's what Cruz is banking on. But if he's wrong he might as well put in his resume at a car dealership.

Look for Cruz and other elites to move to the Democrat ticket eventually. It is now nationalists vs globalists, the days of D vs R are coming to a close.

That's really kind of what's going on right now. The GOP voter base was abandoned by the GOP. They assumed they would get the vote of certain demographics based on the fact that those people would never vote Democrat. But after holding our nose 4 elections in a row (Bush/Bush/McCain/Romney), there was no damn way the people were going to accept another globalist cucked Republican. Sorry, GOP, but if you'd ran anyone with a spine, we might still believe in you, but now we're just going to replace you.

Chris Matthews was pleading Hillary to take Kasich as his VP back in April. They could take Ohio from Trump if that were the case.

There is when your mommy convinced you that you're the best.

There is a lot of shame in losing to Trump.

He's effectively proving you've wasted your career, all you know about politics is wrong. He's spent his whole life doing it one way then the Donald comes along and just pisses all over it. He's worked to become president of the United States, now he's being destroyed.

He's probably got all kinds of strings to pull, all kinds of dirty connections, favors owed in high places. And it's all being rendered useless.

But then, all the money he's taken, all the favors he's owed. This guy is completely under control. Probably has dire consequences for him to endorse.

He would have been a good president if his views on certain issues weren't so extreme, he would have gotten nothing passed while in office. That's why we need a dealmaker. Trump Trump Trump!!!

You knew damn well Ted was a RAT before you let him in!

He hopes that Trump will lose and is playing his card for the 2020 presidency. He'd be able to say "I told you so" and have the supposed high ground. It's a gamble, because if Trump wins, he's fucked.

I think Kasich, Romney, and the Bushes are just as bad. They are all out for themselves, and they don't care about the American people.

just like the Trump plane interuption, Trump entered the convention during the cruz speech and it pissed lyin' ted off.

His father gifted him with a messiah complex. He can do no wrong in his understanding.

His true friends really made it clear at an earlier rally he did that they don't want trump. So I think he didn't want to say fuck you to his most loyal following. He probably hoped they were already warming up to trump, but they were extremely salty. You could see it in Cruz face in the speech, that he was like... Oh shit... they still hate him. So I think he was trying to not disappoint them.

He is literally that arrogant that he believes this will secure him a strong political future.

It's not going to work out for him.

Cruz chose the worst of all possible choices. I'll explain below...

Cruz Endorses

----- Trump Succeeds, Cruz's star rises with Trumps = Win

----- Trump Doesn't get elected/does poorly (won't happen) = Shrugs off endorsement as "Party Politics"

Cruz Rebukes

------ Trump Succeeds = Cruz is a whiny manchild who couldn't put aside hurt feefees

------ Trump Doesn't Get Elected = Cruz responsible for getting Hillary Elected (Hillary is now HIS fault.)

------ Trump gets elected is a disaster as POTUS (Not happening, but let's surmise.) = This is the ONLY way that this maneuver by Cruz benefits him At All.

Manafort was saying earlier in the day that Cruz wasn't going to endorse, and Trump said he had seen his speech 2 hours before he gave it and didn't give any fucks.

Cruz endorsing Trump wouldn't have changed anything for the better, the increasingly small NeverTrump losers have pretty much all lost their minds at this point. Ted Cruz certainly isn't going to bring them back.

Well no, but for the sake of party unity at least it would show that Ted honored his pledge they all signed. We know the pledge was meant solely for Trump so he wouldn't sabotage someone if he lost because they all predicted Cruz would win. But it was to show in the end that no matter what you had some integrity and humility and supported the winner. Its flat out fucked up what Cruz did and unforgivable

Newt Gingrich free-styled it like a pro when he got to this part.

Did't Raphael start the whole " He attacked my wife.." with the "PAC" that ran an unflattering ad about Melania Trump? And didn't trump just "re-tweet" the image comparing an unflattering Heidi to a photoshopped(?) Melania?

I don't understand the whole picture because i honestly feel Ted isn't innocent here. Maybe when trump brought up his pops but everythign else seems a wash imo.

AND SO, TED CRUZ HAS SUCCESSFULLY BANISHED HIMSELF FROM EVER REACHING THE WHITE HOUSE IN THE FUTURE BY FAILING TO BEND THE KNEE TO EMPEROR TRUMP AND THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. MEDIOCRE.

When the plan buzzed his earlier sprech I could tell wouldn't endorse.

Maybe I need to watch again. Didn't Cruz get cut off before he could conclude his statements? I wish he had endorsed.

BTW - I like Mike!
