Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the prestige and ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side.
Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!
Search far and wide for Pokémon and items
Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops, found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments, to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items.
Catching, hatching, evolving, and more
As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind.
Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym
As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers.

Awesome game, but I like to see some changes
An awesome game, and lots of fun, but I would like to see some changes. I would love to see the constant server and login problems fixed, I've experienced server and login problems and errors occur fairly frequently, I experienced problems at least twice already today, and I have experienced other really annoying crashes and glitches on numerous occasions and some of them occurred at the worst possible time— just when I'm about to get the PokéBall ready and get the Pokémon into the ball, the game will either freeze or crash. Sometimes I manage to catch the Pokémon and sometimes I open the app and discover that not only is the Pokémon I tried to catch is not in the list of caught Pokémon but I wasted all the effort I put into trying get the Pokémon in the ball. The game is super fun when it actually works— the graphics are pretty good and I like the way Pokémon are shown in 3D and full color, and the concept of showing how far the Pokémon are from you using little Pokémon paw prints is brilliant but I would love to see the constant three paw prints glitch fixed and I would also love to see the option of displaying the scale between distance on the Pokémon Go map and the equivalent real-world distance. And I would love to see the option of showing stuff on the Pokémon Go map in a little more detail.

If you are anything more than a casual player this app isn't for you. I love Pokemon, played Red Blue Yellow Gold and Sapphire. I have watched the series and all he movies. I love that it brought people from many circles across many generations together to socialize. The app itself is simple. Gameplay is easy to understand and you can progress fairly easily. After reaching 20 most of the Pokemon dodge or escape unless you use ultra balls. If you see a rare Pokemon or a strong one then wave at it but the app will most likely freeze or you will hit it and it will escape to run away. Did you progress enough to actually hold gyms for a bit? Try claiming a few gyms to collect pokecoins and stardust. Well if it isn't at night you will be very sad because the servers will crash or lag you off and you'll spend 15mins to 3 hours trying to log back in. Did you buy lucky eggs and incense to gain exp faster? Well you'll get about 5 mins of those purchased items and the rest of the time you'll be logging in and "failing to authenticate". To get to the point, I'm sure this app works beautiful at 11am and at 3am when most people aren't able to play. Any other time it's probably worthless. I stuck with it for a bit in hopes they would better their systems or make some fixes. My recommendation for now is to wait for another month for fixes to be released before you even consider playing.

Okay, I love this game. I have been waiting for this for so long, like many others. Now, I can understand that almost 2 weeks have gone by. This is still a pretty new game. But seriously? After everyone is begging for some big bug fixes and good updates to improve gameplay and glitches, you finally give us an update. Minor text fixes. Why even? Waiting each day for the next update. Hoping to get some better gameplay in general, and we get Minor Text Fixes? Can you update the game so that people can actually play before updating text? Also the nearby scanner is kinda broken. It doesn't really show anything as 1 or 2 steps away. Always 3, even if it is in view. And what about the Pokéballs freezing as we try to catch that important catch? (Another day my partner, Squirtle😿) Can we please get a REAL update soon? I don't mean to be mean, but in my opinion, I don't believe that this game was ready for launch. There are so many bugs right now, that it almost makes the game impossible to play and enjoy. I still love the idea of being able to run outside and catch my Pokémon! But this app, these servers, the creators, and these dummies getting hurt (and killed) aren't ready to Catch em all. Please make this game ready to play!!! Even if it means shutting it down for a while... Thank you.
