Welcome to the Black & Orange Overwatch...

The world could always use more heroes.
We at Fnatic are constantly on the lookout for talented players in rising esports titles. There is no denying that one game has stood out these past few months, which is why today we are excited and proud to officially announce Fnatic’s venture into Overwatch!
Our Overwatch squad will live and play in the US and see the first entry of one of our top tier fully professional esports teams into North America. We will be investing heavily into the US as a region and can’t wait to show you what we have in store!
We’d like to welcome the seven newest members of the Fnatic family:
- Robert “Roflgator” Malecki (Coach)
- André “iddqd” Dahlström (DPS)
- Scott “custa” Kennedy (Support)
- Oliver “Vonethil” Lager (Support)
- Casey “buds” McIlwaine (DPS)
- Warsi Faraaz “Stoop” Waris (Tank)
- Matthew “coolmatt69” Iorio (Flex)
Those familiar with the Overwatch scene will immediately recognize some names. The Swedish duo of Iddqd and Vonethil for example. Vonethil has shown to be a strong in-game leader in numerous competitive matches, while iddqd has proven to have great aim and reflexes as well as excellent decision making skills. There’s also Stoop, coolmatt69, and buds who have cemented themselves as top players in the North American scene ever since the early beta and were previously part of the EnVyUs line-up. The team will be completed by custa, who is relatively unknown but has distinguished himself as a reliable and knowledgeable all around player and a perfect fit for Fnatic. To top it all off we have Roflgator, who has coached multiple teams in Overwatch, helping them gather dozens of first place tournament finishes.
Florian “DRUNKKZ3” Le Bihan has the following to say about the introduction of our Overwatch team. We also asked some of our new players and coach for their thoughts on joining Fnatic.

Today I’m extremely delighted to welcome our new American Overwatch team to Fnatic. We have kept an eye on Overwatch since the very early closed beta days and our desire to support a team in the game only kept growing with time. We went through a very long and careful scouting process during the past few months and had long discussions with the former core players from nubris (coolmatt69, custa, buds and stoop) and two Swedish up and coming talents (iddqd and Vonethil). This allowed us to put together a very strong and promising Overwatch squad able of competing at the top level in the US, with Roflgator there to back up the guys’ performances as a coach.

It’s an honor to be able to work with such an amazing group of players under the most legendary org. We have the tools to become the best team in the world, and my goal is to help this team accomplish just that.
Oliver “Vonethil” Lager (Support)
I am grateful to have been given this opportunity and will work hard to live up to Fnatic's legacy. I am also excited to compete in the North American scene and I think with this roster we have what it takes to become the greatest team in the game. Looking forward to the future!

I'm extremely pleased to be joining such a reputable organization. Few names in esports are more important and as a team we're thrilled to get this opportunity.
It really means a lot to be Fnatic's first US based team. They saw enough potential in us that they considered it worthwhile to transcend regions. We'll be sure to repay their faith.
We are incredibly excited about the addition of an Overwatch team to our ranks and we’d like to invite all Fnatic fans to come meet the players during a special Q&A live stream event today at 2PM CST/9PM CEST on twitch.tv/team/fnatic
