- There is a growing controversy over a Chicago Donald Trump delegate who has been expelled from the convention.

The Illinois delegation revoked her credentials after the one-time internet radio talk show host and Donald Trump activist used the "N" word in social media posts.

Lori Gayne was elected a Trump delegate from the North Side's 5th Congressional District. She's talked angrily about racial grievances, tweeting under the handle (w)hitePride - @LoriGayne.

Posting a picture of a police sharpshooter, she wrote: "Our brave snipers just waiting for some (N-word’s) to try something. Love them."

Illinois Republican leaders said they learned of it Wednesday and revoked her convention delegate credentials.

Gayne told Sun-Times reporter Lynn Sweet the following:

“I strongly regret the offensive statements I recently made on social media… the statements do not reflect my character of feelings towards minorities. As a Jewish woman I know that racism of any kind is unjustifiable and hurtful…. I respect the decision of the Illinois Republican Party and understand their concerns about my safety and that of the entire Illinois delegation. Please accept my deepest apologies.”
