Because people are idiots; it's a fast way to condemnation and putting a curse upon one's own soul.

I don't practice it, but that's absolute nonsense founded on little more than sentimental New Age bullshit.

Or it's common sense that killing things does nothing but produce corpses and leaves psychological impact.

The psychological impact is part of the point of such workings.

Psychologically, little is more powerful than spilling blood, or taking life.

Yes, the sight of blood provides shock to the human nervous system. That is why in Mexico for faux surgeries they squeeze leeches and kneed into people and it looks as though they are removing 'disease', etc. and it often actually heals people.

You defend it as if there aren't alternatives to destroying life to get a little kick. I'll agree with Nixonisaword still.

I never said there aren't alternatives. As I said before, I don't even practice blood sacrifice myself, as I prefer other methods.

However, the person you are agreeing with said that blood sacrifice curses the soul of the practitioner, that's what I object to, as it is complete garbage.

I would say that the knowledge of senselessly taking life would damage one's "soul" (or sense of self, or sense of identity), as it should create guilt. If one did the actions with belief, and later realized they were possessed by madness, does this not taste bitter?

Do you feel guilty for eating meat? Does it damage your soul, sense of self, or identity?

Assuming the answer is no, then why should taking a life in the service of spiritual aims, be seen as so much worse than taking a life for the sake of enjoying meat? After all, meat is not needed to survive, or to be healthy, and unless you live in a very poor country, there are always alternatives available.

"Do you feel guilty for eating meat?"

Yes, I would if I don't know its origin, or how it was handled, how it was raised, etc. I'm a vegetarian.

[–]felixkatze 1ポイント2ポイント  (1子コメント)

At least you're not a hypocrite then, but do you condemn the eating of meat with the same intensity? It's just as needless, after all.

If not, why?

^ This.

Every animal is a spirit; every human is a living Brahman; insects are instruments of Nature itself.
