I've been seeing an increase lately of people dissing out FR's and other shit as humble bragging. Granted I'm a lurker here, and I still got ways to go, but I'll go right ahead and tell those people to get their heads out of their asses.
Writers have no obligation to pander to your emotions or tone down their post so that it sounds 'realistic' to you and your unambitious, pretentious views. Did this random internet dude fuck two scandinavian sluts on his trip to South Brazil? Maybe, who says he couldn't? Are you going to deny yourself the possibility that this could happen to you, or anyone? Such fantasies are the very reason many of us are here, and to some, to the 10%/5% it isn't fantasy, it's reality. And the pursuit of that reality is TRP.
I don't lift to bang a HB6 on the second date, I don't do an hour of biking a day to achieve modest results, I'm not satiesfied with mediocrity, nor should anyone. Greed is the most powerful emotion, and what motivates men to achieve greatness. When I read one of these 'humble bragging' posts I don't care if they are reality or fantasy, I feel a pain in my gut asking me what the fuck am I doing at my current job, why am I not making twice what I make, why am I not lifting more, riding more, fucking more, doing more. Pretending these 'humblebrags' don't happen is a fruitless effort, because even if the op himself didn't experience it, I'm sure as hell some chad is right about now.
And that's why instead of being hung up over some anon's achievements online, I'm going to lift more, pedal more, work harder so I can get there. If you can't face the fact someone else is living your fantasies, then you got ways to go.
