So, I'm new to soccer. I've tried to get into it before, but fell off, however I did have a favorite player. Paul Pogba. I've wanted to get into the beautiful game for a long time and this seems like as good a reason as any, especially since I like English teams. I'm clueless however, about a few mechanics of the game such as how leagues work, how many championships there are, positions, etc. I anyone could teach me a few things about the game and this team, that'd be appreciated. Go Man U!

Apparently calling ourselves Man U is an insult, so refrain from using that name and we're in the 1 st division of English football called the English Premier League, we're in an European cup called Europa league, and the one above it is the Champions League, where the best teams in Europe battle for victory. There's a League Cup called the Capital One cup, which isnt really important. We have the FA Cup, which is the oldest Cup in action today. We won the FA Cup last season, so we'll be facing Leicester City who won the League.

Champions League is like the World Cup.

FA and Carling cup you just have a humongous bracket tourney, and play till the final. FA Cup starts every year before it finishes, there's that many teams.
