ITT: A whole lot of racism.

[–]We_found_peaches 7ポイント8ポイント  (0子コメント)

I'm scared to point out that this could occur at any point in a high school. My last week of senior year was a joke, and we did dumb shit in the classrooms. Racism is a bummer mane

How do you figure?

[–]Murmur322 8ポイント9ポイント  (5子コメント)

/u/railatx - "At least they aren't stealing my rims."

/u/BatmansAlteregoo - "This is analogous to America. Whites put their head down and work. Blacks jumping around dancing."

/u/christhecanadian - "Stupid black kids."

/u/Thork420 - "This really brings out white ppl's true colors! Bet most of them are "ooooh trump 2016!" Smh"

Fortunately most of the other comments I was talking about have been removed after tremendous downvoting. However none of us know the context of this clip. Maybe the kid with his head down had been having problems with these girls for months, maybe they unfairly targeted him whilst innappropriately dancing in the middle of class. Or maybe the class was asked by their teacher to dance for one reason or another, and this kid with anger issues refused to participate and lashed out when one of the other students got too close. We don't know. Most of the comments when I posted the original comment were staunchly on one side or another of the aisle without considering the other perspective at all. Makes me sad.

And you need to look up the word apologist. This is not a realistic scenario. You need to watch the video that is linked in the comments. And you need to not be sad.

(Oh - and the comments you are referring to pretty much devolved into some violation of reddit rules comments so that's probably why they were removed. I do agree this got nasty quick. I'd like to keep this civil and rational... so let's give some rational explinations and theories)

If you'd like to talk about reality in inner city schools there have been some other redditors who have commented. I bevlieve one was from Atlanta. Ask their thoughts.

I don't need anecdotal evidence from redditors who have supposedly been in similar situations, and I've seen the video, as I recall it's incredibly short, and doesn't explain much. I know about the reality of inner city schools without the anonymously posted video, or anonymously posted comments. And there is plenty of reason to be sad, I don't appreciate judgemental close minded people. I think you're one of them, and apologist would apply more to you than me. You're apologizing for someone assaulting someone else. I'm not apologizing for either side, I'm wishing people would consider both sides before making a judgement. Or leave the judging to judges and juries, who do actually hear both sides before making a judgement.

[–]King_Renegade 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)
