No, fuck that. Spare the rod, spoil the child. This "we can't actually punish kids because it might make them feel bad" nonsense is the problem. If these kids had been properly punished, had some act right put in them, at a younger age, they'd never think this nonsense was OK to do.

I didn't say she shouldn't be punished, she should be. I just don't think that the person retaliating by knocking her down was the appropriate punishment.

I'm not defending her actions (she's a fucking idiot for dancing on the table like that), I'm criticizing the actions of the person who hit her in retaliation. It's possible for more than one person to be in the wrong in a scenario like this.

He didn't have a full picture of the situation under that hood and it looks like a frustrated "no I already told you get away from me" gesture. I'd definitely ask the hooded kid to apologize and figure out how to have them address it in a better manner, but dancing girl is getting in some serious shit despite the injury. It's entirely her fault she was injured.
