What are your thoughts on Michael Keane? (self.reddevils)

He won the reserve player of the year 2012, comfortably beating Lingard. We let him go to Burnley where he's excelled and was subject to a 15m rumored bid from Leicester. Could he have been better than Jones? Did we miss out on a young talent which might bite us in the future?

like how i would have wished we still had shawcross instead of evans back then....lets hope it wont bite us in the future, however we have axel tuanzebe and bailly now.

You need to make an impact when you are given the chance. He was played a few times on the tour and given a few starts on early during LVGs reign and he made a handful of errors. I remember there was an own goal and some general naive passing. Mind you we were still messing about with 3 at the back in those days so it's not entirely his fault but you need to take the chances to impress or fall out of favour again.

Hope has had a good career in the game. I'm sure he could go on to captain a PL side like Shawcross has done. I think he would still find it hard to displace the defenders we currently have to get regular football here.

Better than both McNair and Blackett who got plenty of game time in LVG's first season.

I think if Keane didn't play in that Mk Dons game he'd still be here

Pretty sure it was Kagawas last game too even tho he got injured in the first 20mins.

De Gea is the only player from the starting XI vs MK Dons who is still at United.

XI vs MK Dons: De Gea; Vermijl, Evans, Keane, James; Janko, Anderson, Kagawa, Powell; Welbeck, Chicharito.

Subs also included Thorpe, Amos and Zaha who have all left the club. Kind of funny looking back, Will Grigg scored twice and Dele Alli had 2 assists for MK Dons.
