Watch: Babymetal & Judas Priest's Rob Halford share the stage at the APMAs

J-pop metal stars Babymetal have been around for a few years now, but people still aren’t really sure to take them serious, especially metalheads stateside. The opinions of some metalheads probably don’t matter, though, because Babymetal has the credentials. A few months, Rob Zombie came to the defense of the group, giving them the seal of approval. And at last night at the 2016 Alternative Press Music Awards, the group received another co-sign from bona fide metal legend and Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford. The teen group and Halford jammed out to Judas Priest’s “Painkiller” and “Breaking The Law,” with Suzuka Nakamoto keeping up with Halford's unmistakable voice. Watch it above.
The APMAs was Babymetal’s final North American tour date. But they’re playing a few upcoming festivals in their native Japan. Dates here.
