Hey guys, just wanted to talk about the Pogba transfer we have been hearing about for the past few weeks. Having been supporting our team for a very long time as well as following transfer news every season, I can safely assume this deal is close to becoming a reality (or at the very least in very positive, advanced negotiations). And here is why:
Typically if we are ever linked to a player you can tell if it's legitimate info by how many people are talking about it, who is talking about it and how often it's being talked about. Anytime it's a smokescreen, or just a clickbait title (eg; Ronaldo, Bale, Griezmann transfers), it's posted by dodgy sources, and it's only done once or twice. Nothing very in depth, and nothing very realistic. Anytime there's something actually going on, whether the deal will go through or not (eg; Sergio Ramos, Sanches transfers), multiple sources will talk about it, not only the dodgy ones, but the more reliable ones as well. There's more citing, sources and quotes. There are mostly posted or published often as there probably are advances in negotiations. Now, the Pogba deal fit into this category during the Euros, but now it has advanced beyond that into the Zlatan, Di Snake, Mata, etc type transfers. What do I mean by that? Not only do we hear about it, but we hear about it often. Typically people close to the clubs in question are called into having an opinion, it's not an extremely lengthy process (like the clickbait transfers) , there are reliable sources, consistent sums of how much the transfer will be, as well as consistent and apparent advancements. We have gotten to a point now where people (whether legit or not), are talking about Mou already planning on having Pogba in the squad, Allegri denying rumors (and that's a big one for me when out of everyone, it's the manager who starts denying stuff), sources citing Pogba has a physical coming up as well as consistent information from all fronts. Where I'm going with this is that I am almost positive there was a breakthrough and singing back Pogba is very real at this point. Too much talk about it and specifics for it to just be clickbait or a way for Raiola to cut him a better deal with Juve.
I don't wanna get to excited, but I wouldn't be surprised at this point if Pogba was announced this week or next (especially since Mou said he wasn't going to wait until the end of the transfer season to sign the last piece of the puzzle). What do you guys think? Id like to hear everyone's pov on this. Sorry for the long post, but I've been wanting to get this off my chest with fellow supporters of our club, and hear what everyone's got to say! Thanks.
TL;DR - Evidence showcases Pogba's deal is more concrete than others we have had in the past, and is very similar to successful signings. 85% sure he will be announced this week or next.
Edit: Really sorry for not posting links/sources but I'm on mobile atm. If anyone is kinda enough to post anything in the comments, I think it would be good for discussion!
