This whole thread is a stupid mess of people who project motivated images onto hunter gatherer society without the intermediate step of actually learning anything about them. A few issues:
While cooked meat could undoubtedly form an important part of the forager diet, in most places plant material made up a great majority of the caloric intake. In fact meat eating often acquires something of a ritualistic quality rather than a subsistence one, as noted by Sahlins for example.
"The evolutionary step of eating meat rather than vegetation is what provided us with a competitive edge over our competitors". This is hilariously incoherent. What competitors? Homo sapiens is far from unusually carnivorous when compared to other African megafauna, even within the primate family. When was this "evolutionary step" of meat eating? Certain hominid species, such as the well known P. robusticus tended towards greater vegetarianism in diet but there is hardly a strongly pronounced trend towards greater carnivorousness.
The pet "vegetarian" that is the current top comment is even more completely incoherent. Meat eating lead to the agricultural revolution?
The point of the add is that modern consumption of meat eating, that is prepackaged chunks of carefully selected bits of domesticated animals bred in controlled environments, then served with globally traded spices and condiments, is as far from "natural" as you can get. This is trivially obvious.
