Are these James Rodriguez rumours valid at all?

The team looks completely different than last season's. Much more exciting to watch.

Was our formation shape more narrow? It seemd to be what I saw. And also the caps with defensive, midfield and attacking lines were closer than in LvG systems. Defensive seemed to look very strong in middle of the pitch when wigan was at our final third. And defensive line was very high also, wigan is weaker so there was no reason to stay back. Attacking, going more foward than pass back --> More score opportunies come. At least we could won thath game 0-4. Those were firts things what I was thinking when watched the game. Have to wait and see stronger opponents to see more.

The image of Jose in a United training top on the touchline made me smile. A lot. Seemed much more passionate than Turkey Neck sitting down and making notes.

Felt that too. Seeing our manager on the lines just felt really wholesome.

What's everyone's take on Rooney? I think Mkhitaryan should be our first choice 10 and Rooney needs to accept more of a squad playing role. We can't wait 10 or 12 games to see Wayne make a contribution any more. I've run out of patience.

I'd rather see Mkhitaryan on RW. We have so many players that can play #10 but we only have Lingard on RW

I would rather us buy a right sided specialist and stop playing people out of position... I suppose James isn't one.

Isn't Mkhitaryan a right sided specialist?

No he isn't. He's a 10 but he's been forced out wide. Natural 10. Played there yesterday.

Didn't he play the whole last season on the wings?

[–]reddit_no_likeyA new dawn is coming...

Everyone played great. Solid defensive performance. I was glad to see that Wigan parked the bus for most of the game. It made for a good practice session for the lads to try and work out a solution to that problem. No doubt some teams in the Prems is going to try that as well.

All the youngsters and new signings should be proud. I agree with OP that Wilson & Memphis were probably the weakest links, but they also had their moments. Still, it's the first preseason game, they'll get more chances.

All in all, good to see United on the pitch again.

Everyone played great.

Except for Memphis.

Really disapointed in Memphis.

Is Schniderlin on vacation? I expected to see him today.

So good to see United play again.

[–]StannisTheStarkRashford!

Yup all the players from the Euros (and Copa?) are out until, some of them are travelling to China (English players) but they're not likely to feature in any of the games until Galatasaray in Sweden the week after the China tour.

I thought that Copa players were out too, but Valencia was there and he went to the knock out rounds.

He was part of the French squad at the Euros.

Oh, thank you. I didn't see him play.

He was the only French midfielder to not play actually.

Still, he didn't get a holiday and would have had to train everyday.

i think if mkhitaryan is going to start playing in the no. 10 role we need to buy a right wing, why not mahrez , why arent we going for him??????

He's probably gonna play on the wing with Rooney as #10.

I don't think Rooney is good enough either, and while Mikhi obviously is I think Mourinho's first XI will have Mikhi RW, Martial LW and that elusive 4th signing as #10 / CAM.

But I've been wrong before as the Hedgehog said climbing off the toilet brush.

idk if rooney is good enough, miki played really well in the cam spot and i would love to have mahrez aat united

Rooney needs to find some consistency or mou will drop him. For every great game he has there's another two where he doesn't seem to have ever passed a ball in his life.

One of my highlights of the game is seeing our manager on the touchline. He was on the touchline longer today than Van Gaal was in 2 seasons.

Fuck Nick Powell. Glad he's no longer a red.

Sorry, I missed the game, but what did he do?

Came as a sub for Wigan in the last 20 mins or so and spammed dangerous tackles until the final whistle.

Had 4 or 5 dirty challenges, should have seen at least one yellow. Would probably have been ejected in a non-friendly. Generally looked like a sour twat.

I know it's early days but it looks like Mkhitaryan is legit.

Oh hell yeah. I saw why he had 15 assists last season. Rashford will love him.

It will be great having him play at 10 and possibly James Rodriguez out wide interchanging and drifting. Wishful thinking, I know but it isn't impossible. The less I see of Rooney, this season, the better.

[–]ZzsskJosé Mourinho 0

Zlatan especially. Zlatan will aslo take Rashy as his padawan. Oh god this boner.........

As you can expect for a player out for 10 months, touch was a bit heavy but he didn't look bad! There was a challenge against him that I kinda cringed at but he was fine. Positive signs.

[–]DelTrottervan Nistelrooy 17

Anyone think Rojo's a gonner? Darmian plays both sides, Smalling comes in. We got the new guy Bailly, Blind, Jones and the youngsters Tuanzebe and TFM. Not sure where we need Rojo.

[–]StannisTheStarkRashford!

Rojo's in my top five players who need to go. He's a bit of a defensive liability. Got skinned a lot of times last season as well as injury problems.

Personally I think Darmian on the left is a liability. I'd prefer we stick with our defensive players, it's not like our injury record every season is clean :D

I do think there will be at least one defensive player sold. Personally I would rather keep Rojo than Jones. Mostly because Rojo seems to be mostly reliable anywhere in defense whereas Jones hasn't really come good yet.

Unless we're buying another defender and Jose said he was buying four players whether we get Pogba or not it's obvious the fourth is going to be a midfielder so why would we sell, I doubt Jose will play Blind at CB so we only have four.

Yeah but I don't think he's gonna buy a CB when we have Smalling either.

I wouldn't be so quick to write off Jones. He's still only 24 and he's had some injury setbacks. If he can fulfill the potential Fergie and others saw in him he could be a great player for the club. Smalling needed time to come good, so does Jones. Hopefully he does.

Rojo is only 26 but seems far more reliable and versatile. Not just reliable because he's better, but also injured less often.

Yeah. Jones could yet turn it around. Same potentially doesnt seem to be there in Rojo however nice he is.

I personally feel it's a tough decision, but Jones gets injured an awful lot.

Glad to see we looked good though.

[–]super_nomadMemphis 9ポイント10ポイント  (9子コメント)

Didn't watch, but how did Memphis do?

Zero improvement. Looks all fancy but with no end results. I would go ahead and say we would've scored if we had some other winger in his place like Mata or Martial.

Like everyone says he tries to do too much. There were a couple of opportunities where he could've just put the ball in the box but he tried to go an extra step. Nani had the same problem but once he got over that hump he became quiet the player.

He's trying to much, he needs to do the simple stuff first. That's what they coached Ronaldo to do when he first joined. He really just needs to adapt his game and use his skills only when necessary

Thought he had a couple nice services into the box but other than that, nothing spectacular.

A handful of wasted chances, but looked promising going forward.

I disagree tbh. He didn't look threatening at all. Those off target shots were the only significant thing he did. For the rest of the time he just either ran into people or played poor passes again

I value and appreciate your perspective.

[–]SodamManchester is Red 8

A few aggressive tackles that would probably be yellows in a competitive game.

[–]MullerReusIt's hard to believe it's not Scholes! 2

Maybe he's just terrible at tackling? I mean why would he hate the players he probably trained with 10 times at most?

It's not like he tried to take the ball and ended up hitting the guy's legs and then apologizing. He was just jumping in at the legs from behind.

Goalkeeper

Pereira and Johnstone had almost nothing to do.

Right Back

At right back Fosu-Mensah was fine at bombing forwards but didn't really get anything in the box. His short passing wasn't great but a few times he clipped a ball in behind the back of the defence for Wilson to run on to. Defensively he didn't have a huge amount to do I thought. Would be surprised if he remains a RB for the season though.

The alternative RB, Valencia, again had nothing to do defensively. He got forward a lot more than Fosu-Mensah did and was always willing to create the overlap. Didn't seem to have the options to cross into though and hesitated a bit.

Left Back

Luke fucking Shaw is back and that is LB nailed down for the season. Obviously his touch and passing is still a little rusty but it was beautiful to see that little explosion of pace bombing down the left wing again.

Blind moved to LB for a while after half-time and looked solid. Nothing to do defensively but he connected defence and midfield well enough.

Blackett replaced him for a while and... well I've never been that impressed by him in his time here but this game didn't have much time left for him to do anything.

Centre Backs

Bailly and Blind were first half centre backs. Bailly was comfortable on the ball and mopped up everything easily enough. Had some tricks in his game and played it around nicely. Decent start but he'll get better tests defensively.

Blind seemed solid again but I don't see him being a first team CB under Mourinho. I liked him today though - made a decent block in the first half and very quick into the challenge to win the ball back through-out the match. As always, comfortable on the ball.

Jones came on for a bit too with his lovely new hair. Classic Jones - very physical and hopefully he can stay fit this season and have a good run of games.

Tuanzebe came on for the last ten and didn't have much to do except for abuse Powell a bit and then ignore his follow through challenge.

Central Midfield

Herrera was impressive today. Put himself about with great energy and won the ball back a lot. Decent enough passing and looked to start linking up with players like Januzaj, Mkhi etc.

Carrick was his usual calm self. Didn't see him misplace a pass and he intercepted quite often when Wigan tried to play their way out the back.

Pereira came on in midfield and had a decent game. Scored a goal with a great finish and, generally, looked comfortable especially with a delicious pass over the top to ____Valencia? Young? Again though, he'll have better tests as the Wigan midfield looked the opposite of a high pressure line.

Varela played in central midfield too and looked fine. Actually made some really good runs into the box and Mata nearly found him once

Right Wing

Lingard seemed his usual self. Made some great runs, good one-twos with Mkhi too and had a chance well blocked. But his dribbling needs work as too often his touch is just off but is early days yet in pre-season

Young - I'll count Young as RW because he played there a lot. Willing runner (and pulled off some incredible control on the LW) but his end product was a little hesitant today like Valencia. Just seemed to wait a little too long or look for the extra pass.

Left Wing

Memphis wasn't brilliant. Should have scored after Mkhi put it on a plate for him and seemed to lose the ball or seem to get telegraphed a lot. However, was one good moment where he turned his man in the centre circle and drove into the Wigan half before just missing the pass that would have sent Mkhi free

Januzaj also came on and switched with Young through-out the second half. Looked better than last season and had some comfortable passing and moving but Januzaj always seems to perform against lower level opposition (U-21s, Championship) so will be interesting to see how he progresses. Only 21 still so high hopes really.

Number 10

Mkhi was delightful to watch. Quick, skillful and equally comfortable on either foot, everything went through him. He created chances for Lingard and Memphis and the only downer is the chance he skied. If he plays like this more often then he'll be a great success but we have to remember it is a preseason against Wigan.

Mata came on and seemed decent tbh. Good passing, seemed quicker than last year and more willing to try balls that might not come off (quick through balls for example). Will be interesting to see what happens with him.

Striker

Wilson looked poor. Just completely out of the game and never looked like doing anything.

Keane got a goal from Mata's pass (after Jusski fucked up his clearance) and looked ok. Was better than Wilson at holding it up but can't see either of them getting in ahead of Ibra or Rashford this season.

Overall was a decent enough performance even if little was created. Confidence building pre-season game with many more positives than negatives.

[–]Exwind 7

Mkhi at 10 is interesting. Makes me wonder if he'll play that role instead of RW.

Glad to see someone else praising Herrera. Idk why the sub dislikes him so much, he's one of the hardest working, more involved players in the team.

Yea hopefully he finds another gear under Jose. His movement and vision is excellent.

Most will agree to that but follow up with him being inconsistent or not fast enough.

I thought Herrera was generally a fan favorite? Why is he disliked by this sub?

I guess you're new here, he's up there with Mata and Blind, no matter how they play they're awesome because they give hugs/look good/have great hair/blog or whatever reason some on here have for defending them. Personally I don't think he's a bad player but like ausnick below says he's decent, works hard and thats it.

In his first season everyone on here loved him, and was frustrated at how he was left on the bench a lot after decent but not exactly world class performances. Inevitably this led to ridiculous over-hyping of his ability and the "I'm sure if we started Herrera, we'd have won" posts started. Towards the second half of last season he got a decent run in the team and he was pretty average, giving the ball away loads and committing needless fouls, culminating in a terrible performance at West Ham. Then the pitch forks came out.

He wasn't as good as people made him out to be when he joined, he's not as bad as people were saying at the end of last season. He's a decent player.

Very accurate description of this sub's attitude to Herrera, however I think he's one of those players who needs plenty of highly skilled individuals around him for him to shine, (maybe Januzaj falls into that category too). If he's in a 'tikka takka' skill level team I think he'd be wonderful, but your 'onest, down to Earth, hard working 'men's' team from the stereotypical 'Northern City' which has typified English football for the past few years, supresses those type of players. I like him, Januzaj too, but Pereira is still my great hope, I just hope we don't do a Pogba with him.

Flattered to deceive. Decent enough player though.

Honestly...Blind pretty good today. That Mkhi-guy looks good.

GK Johnstone (Sub 82') - 6 - Made a good clearing punch early, had little else to do throughout the game, but looked a little nervy on the ball.

RB Fosu-Mensah (Sub 45') - 6 - Looked like his beastly self defensively, but made very little attacking contribution. Did not get forward enough, and did not display enough quality on the few occasions he did.

CB Bailly (Sub 82') - 7 - Some slightly loose looking sideward passes to start, but really grew in confidence, read the game well, and showed some good quality.

CB/LB Blind (Sub 74') - 7 - Tidy, assured performance displaying great reading of the game at centre back first half and left back second half.

LB Shaw (Sub 45') - 7 - We missed this man last season. Positioned himself smartly at both ends. Nice movement and offered a good option wide left.

CM Carrick (Sub 45') - 6 - Usual unspectacular Carrick performance. Didn't have much to do really.

CM Herrera (Sub 74') - 7 - Made some nice interceptions and linked nicely with the attack all game.

RW Lingard (Sub 45') - 6 - Hardly in the game similar to our other widemen. A few nice touches but wasn't a great threat.

AM Mkhitaryan (Sub 45') - 9 - By far the best player in the stadium. Would have got a 10 had he not skied a tough chance. Great touch, movement, passing, dribbling. Looks a bargain frankly.

LW Memphis (Sub 45') - 5 - Pretty poor really. Most disappointing player. Missed a decent chance (though he did receive a slight push), and didn't really drive at anybody. Looks short of confidence and this performance will not help.

ST Wilson (Sub 45') - 6 - Hardly in the game, and didn't offer much against a deep set defence.

CB Jones (On 45') - 6 - Tidy, under little pressure.

RB Valencia (On 45') - 7 - Made more runs in his first 10 minutes than Fosu-Mensah did in 45.

CM A Pereira (On 45', Goal 58') - 8 - Lovely strike for the second goal, and nice passing display in a deeper role than usual.

AM Mata (On 45') - 7 - Nice movement, and good work rate to press a mistake from Jaaskelainen. Generally unselfish display.

RW Januzaj (On 45') - 6 - Another wide player who was hardly in the game. Did nothing wrong but had little impact.

LW Young (On 45') - 6 - Nice movement and energy but lacking a bit of quality at times. Best of the wingers, just.

ST Keane (On 45', Goal 48') - 6 - Scored an absolute tap-in but otherwise was hardly in the game much like Wilson first half.

LB Blackett (On 74') - 6 - Looked like a centre back playing at left back. Had little to do as the game wound down.

CM Varela (On 74') - 7 - New role for Varela, or just squeezing him into the side? Surprisingly played alongside Pereira in centre mid, and displayed some nice composure and passing.

GK J Pereira (On 82') - N/A - Recieved and passed the ball about 3 times.

CB Tuanzebe (On 82') - N/A - Did a pretty good Bailly impression.

Referee - 3 - Yes it's a friendly, but you are allowed to book players who've hacked opponents 4 or 5 times. Also you're supposed to give penalties for pushes in the penalty area.

I can really see Lingard thriving under Mourinho. The tactical set up seems to be getting a very small space overloaded with attacking players. He likes his no9 to move where the ball is. You have the no9, no10, CM, winger, and then the fullback into a position marked by 1 CB, 1 RB, 1/2 CMs. That means you have a 5 v 3/4 in this little area....but there is condensed space. Lingard is incredible at finding little pockets of space, which I think will be extremely valuable. I can see him really featuring a lot the next year.

Admittedly missed the first half but from the second half wouldn't take too much from this.

This was probably less intense than a Mourinho training session!

I'm pretty sure most of us could have been subbed in for Keane (or Bailly, for that matter), without a major difference in outcome!

Really liked Valencia's running and he was a constant threat. Interesting to see varela used in mf. Young looked pretty decent.

Glad that Mhiki, et al looked good though.

We'll win the league this season, just got a phone call from Raven.

  • Still think Bailly is a bit raw. Did well, though, and can see him developing into a really decent (if not better than that) CB.
  • Wilson just isn't good enough. Not sure how much more data we need.
  • Memphis better improve quick, because another bit of that shite and he's off.
  • Really enjoyed the speed of passing. Felt like tactically Mourinho was trying to find areas to overload (hence why the no10 role is always great in his systems - just roams around) and then move the ball quickly.

It's pretty harsh to write off Bailly like that even when Wigan posed absolutely no attacking threat.

Write him off? I said he would develop well and be a good player for United. Just because I don't sit on these threads and jerk someone off, doesn't mean I'm writing them off. Come on now.

Just realized this is at -4. Apparently people think Wilson is good enough and Memphis hasn't been dreadful for the last 7 months. Reality might come as a surprise to those people.

You said he was a bit raw even though we literally saw him do nothing other than watch for 45 min.

I'd really like to see Memphis on the right. He seems to screw up trying to cut inside a lot of the time. I know thats his forte but he's only young I'm sure he can be moulded into a really good RW. Yes I also understand that where most of us thing Mhiki will be playing. But we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Nothing much to say about the match since it was essentially a training session, but the fuck was Nick Powell on about?

I understand having a point to prove, but he had some cuntish tackles.

More attacking intent in the second half, which also saw some interesting substitutions into midfield. Not a bad first run-out for the season.

  • The full backs in the second half, especially Valencia, pushed on in the game, which was a shift which also led to different movements across our attacking third. The wingers and Mata played with a lot more fluidity, often swapping positions but also regularly coming inside and leaving the full backs more time and space out wide, while also being able to make dangerous runs centrally. Another prominent move was Keane often moving wide into the channels, which then allowed the players behind him to make runs from deep for a pass to be played through or over the top of the defence. It did cost us possession at times, but the variation in style and speed of our attacks is something which has been sorely missed in our game.

  • Pereira and later Varela in midfield proved an interesting experiment. The former was perhaps a little prone to try and dribble out of danger early on, but settled quite well and distributed the ball neatly. Varela looked energetic and was quick to get himself into space, a sign that Mourinho may still be looking to try both creative and more industrious midfielders to find the best combination in the centre of the park. Both weren't tested too much individually in defence, although the defensive shape across the midfield as a whole did become messier as substitutions came in.

  • Mata seemed motivated and adjusted well to the slightly different demands to his attacking game. Was quicker to turn and look forward as Mkhitaryan did in the first half, and offered a nice passing range. If anything, his speed is still something that may hurt him in his bid to secure a starting spot, as he wasn't able to escape his marker quick enough to get the ball off a forward run at times. Played smartly to his strengths, however, and was willing to get back to close down space in midfield when defending.

  • Keane looked more impressive than Wilson did in his 45 mins. Was able to use his strength better than Wilson did with his speed. It doesn't help Wilson that his first touch lets him down at times, which makes it even harder for him to keep the ball with his back to goal. Both still have a lot to do to impress over the summer and get a place in the squad, with some strong names in our forward line now.

Nick Powell, my word

Been seeing lots of comments about Nick Powells tackles. Anyone got a link?

What a cunt.

[–]androidenthusiast08De Gea De Hero.

Didn't watch the match (went out) but apparently he made a lot of hard tackles- is that true?

[–]SirSmudgeJose Mourinho 4

Oh it's true, it's damn true!

[–]The_QuinnSmalling 8ポイント9ポイント  (3子コメント)

Not just hard - wild and reckless and usually nowhere near the ball. Hard to tell if he was bitter or just trying to put himself around the place to impress his new manager. It was shitty to see in a friendly, though.

He certainly couldn't have impressed his new club's manager with that display. Passion is one thing, but in a real match that is closely officiated, he'll put his team in some really bad positions if not down a man.

[–]Exwind 1

I think hed be fine in a normal match, hes just massively bitter at us

[–]androidenthusiast08De Gea De Hero.

Seems like a dick move against united, probably cause he threw away his career with us (imo)

yeah, and looked thoroughly pissed off after every one.

[–]androidenthusiast08De Gea De Hero.

Wow.

Cheers for letting me know!

[–]Prof_DumbbelldoreBerbatov 16ポイント17ポイント  (0子コメント)

No analysis needed, these games are purely for fitness.

Lets remember Bebe looked good pre season.

I'm just to see United back on my screen

How was Shaw? How was his speed?

I thought he looked a bit tentative, maybe still protecting the leg a bit. Not many runs forward to judge. Was decent enough on the ball, though.

I had an ACL/MCL tear and repair in my younger days. Not the same injury as Shaw, no, but the same level of devastation and rehab.

Anyway, it takes a little while to 100% trust in yourself that you've healed and over time, you think about it less and less. I think Shaw may be in the middle of that process. He'll be fine over time, just needs a long run of successful and competitive minutes.

Yeah I think so too. I might have been over analysing what he was doing but he seemed to frequently be doing these little bunny hops/pulling up a bit short, I'm assuming because he doesn't quite trust the leg completely yet.

Once he takes a tumble or makes a run and it doesn't hurt him. He'll break forward again.

I'd say first half Mkhitaryan looked dangerous and with better players around him - i.e. Martial, Ibra etc would have created a lot more (Wilson just doesn't offer enough). Bailly wasn't really tested defensively so hard to gauge his quality - though he looked good on the ball. I'd say the standout performer was Luke Shaw, looked really fit and energetic, herrera also looked decent. All in all a good first warm up.

Side-note: Powell could've got about four yellow cards in 20mins.

Gotta disagree with OP saying Wilson and Memphis were poor. Decent movement from both throughout. Memphis needs to work on his shooting but otherwise they've given what's expected from a pre-season game. Wouldn't be too harsh on them yet.

If he's getting the technicals right -- movement, etc., the Memphis will start to regain confidence. With that his shot accuracy will come. The lad's got a ton of talent, but he needs to get his mind right. I think that as long as Mourhino believes in him, he'll be fine.

Varela at CM reminds me a lot of Verratti for some reason

Both are short?

surely he/she means they look alike and not that they play similarly.

Not sure if I'm reading too much into it, but looking at where Andreas Pereira was playing today do you guys think Mou will try to mold him into a fabregas type player in the 4231 formation from Chelsea? I thought he played really well in that role today, excited to see how he can progress.

This is an interesting idea. He's definitely a creative midfielder and though he has been playing as a 10 maybe that could ignite a flare in him.

[–]androidenthusiast08De Gea De Hero.

Always liked Pereira- although barely any one gave him a chance [LVG randomly didn't play him after his great cup game]. Let's hope Mourinho manages to keep him, otherwise he might be off to get more regular footy.

It's like LvG had beef with some players, or personal issues that shouldn't come in the way of them getting play time

[–]androidenthusiast08De Gea De Hero.

Like seriously, what was it though? Pereira was pretty much always on the bench and barely came on.

IIRC Pereira wanted to go out on loan in January but LvG blocked it, then decided to not play him anyway

[–]androidenthusiast08De Gea De Hero.

Exactly. Like why?

There are accusations that LVG doesn't like brazilians

I thought the accusation was about South Americans and not just Brazilians.

Which includes Brazilians.

Reread my comment

I understand it. Now reread my original comment.

If you understood it, you wouldn't have replied the way you did. It was redundant.

There's that corner kick rumor where he and januzaj were trying to score from corner kicks in u21 team and it didn't impress LVG at all.

I rather see Periera play CM. He played his best games deeper for the first team last season too.

Felt sorry for Memphis but it just wasn't his day. Overall a solid win, nice to see a dominant performance in possession that actually had some attacking intent.

Continually impressed with pereiras passing, calm demeanor on the ball and overall technical skill.

I usually rate him in a number 10 role but he showed today (yes I know it was a friendly) that he can play just as well as a number 6.

I hope Mata stays, he played well today

Mkhi and Bailly looks great.

Blind was class.

Herrera, Mkhi and Lingard's link-up play was pretty good.

Mata played pretty well.

Pereira looking good in that CM role.

I actually really liked Varela in that CM role as well.

Varela in that CM role as well.

What?!

How bad was Memphis? Not getting a good review from anything I've seen.

Memphis wasn't great, but nowhere near as bad as some people on here will have you believe. Linked up decently, had a few good crosses, and two good attempts on goal. Missed a few chances, but all in all I'd write this game down as a positive and a step in the right direction.

Thank you. He had a bad game, but nowhere near as bad as everyone hears seems to be crucifying him over

I don't see anyone crucifying him, just people that wished he wouldn't be so shit.

Yeah, Mourinho brought on Varela and put him in CM and played quite a few good passes and ran up and down the pitch.

Memphis and Wilson were disappointing but Wilson was better for me because he created a lot of space for players like Mkhitaryan but still Wilson didn't do much with the ball.

Memphis had a glorious opportunity but was pushed in the back so I wouldn't put it on him but he looked slow and sluggish (best way I can describe it). It's only a preseason match so we'll see when the seasons starts.

He was the same as usual. Take that as you will.

Also, Nick Powell was on a secret mission to kill all of our players
