Users may message each other on battlefy in order to arrange their games.

Hello and welcome to the FIFA Tournament thread.

Registration is now closed and checking in begins at 7pm BST. Here you can ask any questions regarding the tournament and we will try our best to get back to you.

This thread is also dedicated to discussion and maybe submitting your screenshots, however I think the screenshots can be uploaded to the website. We will also announce fixtures from the round of 16 here and winners of the prizes.

Half Length - 6 Mins Controls - Any Game Speed - Normal Squad Type - Online.

This is set by the host of the game.

N.B - Frequently the changes to the squads will not have been completed in the allotted 30 seconds at the online matchmaking menu. If this does happen, please restart the match right away if either player wishes to do so in order to complete the changes.

I am not 100% sure of the system hence why it's a beta tournament but in the future the tournaments won't require immediacy and will be played throughout an extended period of time whenever both players can get a game (within 24 hours of the previous fixture)

'bye' means you automatically get to advance to the next round.

What's the extra time situation, do you just replay the match or is it golden goal or something?

What should happen if a game ends in a draw? Replay? cause games don't go to extra time in online friendlies.
Also, like others asked, is the goal to finish whole tourny today? I'm conscious that delays etc could make it take a long time and with work tomorrow I can't be playing until a ridiculous time...

Yes it will have to be replayed, games can essentially be played whenever after you have checked in i think

Some extra rules when creating online friendlies -

Half Length - 6 Mins
Controls - Any
Game Speed - Normal
Squad Type - Online.

This is set by the host of the game.

If this does happen, please restart the match right away if one of the two players wishes to do so in order to complete the changes. Some tips - do the player changes first, formation & tactics can be done while in the game pause menu.

Currently the way it seems to me is real strange, like if you chek-in for a match, your opponent has to check-in within an hour, how would my opponent, or me know that a check-in needs to be done, in order to not get out of the tournmament?

Checking in is for the first round and it gets rid of anyone who just forgot about the tournament and helps it progress faster as we wouldn't just be waiting for people to play the first round (it has a knock on effect as the next round and then the next round would not be able to play their game)

checking in has been removed due to confusion/people submitting game results without even checking in. The tournament will run it's course in it's own time.
