Yeah, fuck it, because it doesn't allow you to steal games.

Funny, when denuvo inevitably gets cracked those who DO pirate will be the ones who don't have to deal with it. While all those who actually paid for the game do.

I thought it already did?

From what I remember, an older version of the DRM software was cracked, but this has since been updated. There's a work around now where you can legally buy the game through steam, copy some key files (I don't know the specifics), then apply them to a pirated copy of the game, then just steam refund the game.

But AFAIK there's noone who has outright cracked the DRM.

I haven't actually been looking that far into it, I've heard in some places it has and others it still hasn't.

That's how DRM has always worked. It's as hilarious as it is sad.

No, fuck it because some people like myself don't have a constant internet connection.

I spend lengthy periods of time away in the middle of ocean with no connection at all.

Yeah, so fuck Denuvo.

No, fuck it for being a constant inconvenience to those who DONT STEAL GAMES.

You're being deliberately obtuse, blow off

You did read the OP, right?

[–]Zirgs -1ポイント0ポイント  (0子コメント)

But isn't that a steam drm's fuckup?

People will just buy on g2a instead. Almost no money for the dev, actual legit buyers are upset...and also the fact that piracy isn't necessarily having a negative impact on sales according to studies. Great.

No fuck it because it takes control away from the consumer who paid for the game and might want to apply custom made patches or other modifications in 5 or 10 years down the line when the game inevitably stops working with the OS, and gives that control to greedy shortsighted companies that would rather resell you what you already paid for (but now with a new skin) than actually fixing their shit.

Consumers aren't annoyed with Denuvo because of piracy, they already bought the game - they are annoyed because it takes control away from them. It is all about having control.
