The /r/Mumbai sub-reddit went private?! WTF?! (self.india)

If I recall correctly the moderators of the sub-reddit were. /u/K4USHIK and /u/andrewinmelbourne

Any idea what can be done to get the sub-reddit back and remove those moderators?

How does a mod being NRI/Foreigner make a bad mod ?

I just asked andrew for moderator rights because I wanted to change the css, add a small description and little rickshaw design that I made, submit posts and make this sub-reddit more active.

It is an interest group on the internet, you don't need a domicile certificate to manage spam and posts on reddit. Anybody with the right attitude who wants to do it can do it. It "belongs" to Indians/Mumbaikar only is simply your assumption. It belongs to the reddit/internet community.

Secondly, (it is irrelevant IMO but) my last name is Chemburkar, I am from Chembur, Mumbai and my whole family is living there for generations and I have lived most of my life over there, I am a native Mumbaikar.

As I have written in the description of the community.

A hangout sub-reddit for all Mumbaikars and for everybody who loves Mumbai.

If you don't agree to this idea, you are free to join some other ones or make your own.

This looks like an overblown reaction from /u/andrewinmelbourne. Also our fellow bakchodis are also contributing more to this drama by taunting /u/andrewinmelbourne. I have PM'd him requesting him to make the reddit public. Also we have, /r/mumbhai & /r/bombay, if that helps.

All this shit happened because of a mod-mail thread in /r/IWantToBeAMod following this. And that mod-mail thread is an interesting one I tell you involving some of our beloved and worshipped /r/indians fighting for our prod kulcha like brave warriors against the firangi /r/mumbai mod .
