Posting guidelines:

Badling because:
1) whether Black Africans speak a language or not does not impact its economic value inherently
2) Black Africans are the majority of African country populations, so given that, chances are that anywhere the people do speak French will generate economic need for it
3) Bonus because it is just racist nonsense

Precisely what I said. It's economically meaningless.
2) Black Africans are the majority of African country populations, so given that, chances are that anywhere the people do speak French will generate economic need for it
Going there to exploit their natural ressources doesn't require many people that know french. A few thousands, yes... I doubt OP would be into that though. See the documentary "empire of dust".

Along with Southeast Asia, most of the world's fastest growing economies are in Africa. Africa is also seeing the world's fastest expansion in the number of cellphone users - that's an extremely lucrative business. China was probably the first country to take notice of this, and Chinese corporations are working hard to tap into this market.
I don't know why you're so fixated on "economic" significance anyway. Apart from using it as a dog-whistle for a hatred of black people.

    And of course, they can be consumers of goods.
    As far as this topic is concerned, I believe that settles it. Africa is a huge market, meaning French-speaking Africans have a huge impact on the global economy, contributing to the "economic value" of French.
    As for the rest, I addressed in my other post how racial differences have zero scientific basis. The fact that your evidence for them is entirely anecdotal speaks volumes to the shakiness of the "race realist" perspective.

    Unless you mean that the race of people doesn't impact a language and not specifically whether Black people speak it...

    I meant: if more black people learn french/grow up with french as their mother tongue, it's not going to make a big difference for the francosphere's economies because the human capital they bring on the table is low. Therefore, it shouldn't be an argument in favor of learning french for OP, is all.
