What's the worst violation of someone's freedoms? Killing him perhaps? Or does this go to far to be considered a violation of human rights?
It's funny how butters will dismiss accusations on how bitcoin is used to finance terrorism. I remember the last time that a group founding ISIS was found accepting bitcoin donations, someone had the nerve to come here and blame this FUD on the jews.
I'm not really trying blame this on bitcoin as an entity though. Because for bitcoin to be used to fund anything, it would need to have value against money that's actually used in the real world.
And even butters, they dismiss bitcoin's use by ISIS supporting groups as FUD but this isn't going to be happening forever. We've already seen indisputable proof that bitcoin is in fact used to fund ISIS and by extension to that, terrorism. It probably won't be long until butters start talking about how financial freedom is sacred and never terrorism.
But the reason groups funding ISIS are able to successfully accept bitcoin donations is because (otherwise centralized and trust based) services let them broadcast their bitcoin address to the public.
While regular social media like Facebook and Twitter have banished accounts with even the slightest affiliation, services that ♥ your privacy like Telegram and Tutanota still provide a platform for such activities.
