I have covered Donald Trump off and on for 27 years — including breaking the story that in 1990, when he claimed to be worth $3 billion but could not pay interest on loans coming due, his bankers put his net worth at minus $295 million. And so I have closely watched what Trump does and what government documents reveal about his conduct.

Reporters, competing Republican candidates, and voters would learn a lot about Trump if they asked for complete answers to these 21 questions.

Here are 21 Questions for Donald Trump:

So, Mr. Trump…

1. You call yourself an “ardent philanthropist,” but have not donated a dollar to The Donald J. Trump Foundation since 2006. You’re not even the biggest donor to the foundation, having given about $3.7 million in the previous two decades while businesses associated with Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment gave the Trump Foundation $5 million. All the money since 2006 has come from those doing business with you.

How does giving away other people’s money, in what could be seen as a kickback scheme, make you a philanthropist?

2. New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman successfully sued you, alleging your Trump University was an “illegal educational institution” that charged up to $35,000 for “Trump Elite” mentorships promising personal advice from you, but you never showed up and your “special” list of lenders was photocopied from Scotsman Guide, a magazine found at any bookstore.

Why did you not show up?

3. You claimed The Learning Annex paid you a $1 million speaking fee, but on Larry King Live, you acknowledged the fee was $400,000 and the rest was the promotional value.

Since you have testified under oath that your public statements inflate the value of your assets, can voters use this as a guide, so whenever you say $1, in reality it is only 40 cents?

4. The one-page financial statement handed out at Trump Tower when you announced your candidacy says you’ve given away $102 million worth of land.

Will you supply a list of each of these gifts, with the values you assigned to them?

5. The biggest gift you have talked about appears to be an easement at the Palos Verdes, California, golf course bearing your name on land you wanted to build houses on, but that land is subject to landslides and is now the golf course driving range.

Did you or one of your businesses take a tax deduction for this land that you could not build on and do you think anyone should get a $25 million tax deduction for a similar self-serving gift?

6. Trump Tower is not a steel girder high rise, but 58 stories of concrete.

Why did you use concrete instead of traditional steel girders?

7. Trump Tower was built by S&A Concrete, whose owners were “Fat” Tony Salerno, head of the Genovese crime family, and Paul “Big Paul” Castellano, head of the Gambinos, another well-known crime family.

If you did not know of their ownership, what does that tell voters about your management skills?

8. You later used S&A Concrete on other Manhattan buildings bearing your name.

Why?

9. In demolishing the Bonwit Teller building to make way for Trump Tower, you had no labor troubles, even though only about 15 unionists worked at the site alongside 150 Polish men, most of whom entered the country illegally, lacked hard hats, and slept on the site.

How did you manage to avoid labor troubles, like picketing and strikes, and job safety inspections while using mostly non-union labor at a union worksite — without hard hats for the Polish workers?

10. A federal judge later found you conspired to cheat both the Polish workers, who were paid less than $5 an hour cash with no benefits, and the union health and welfare fund. You testified that you did not notice the Polish workers, whom the judge noted were easy to spot because they were the only ones on the work site without hard hats.

What should voters make of your failure or inability to notice 150 men demolishing a multi-story building without hard hats?

11. You sent your top lieutenant, lawyer Harvey I. Freeman, to negotiate with Ken Shapiro, the “investment banker” for Nicky Scarfo, the especially vicious killer who was Atlantic City’s mob boss, according to federal prosecutors and the New Jersey State Commission on Investigation.

Since you emphasize your negotiating skills, why didn’t you negotiate yourself?

12. You later paid a Scarfo associate twice the value of a lot, officials determined.

Since you boast that you always negotiate the best prices, why did you pay double the value of this real estate?

13. You were the first person recommended for a casino license by the New Jersey Attorney General’s Division of Gaming Enforcement, which opposed all other applicants or was neutral. Later it came out in official proceedings that you had persuaded the state to limit its investigation of your background.

Why did you ask that the investigation into your background be limited?

14. You were the target of a 1979 bribery investigation. No charges were filed, but New Jersey law mandates denial of a license to anyone omitting any salient fact from their casino application.

Why did you omit the 1979 bribery investigation?

15. The prevailing legal case on license denials involved a woman, seeking a blackjack dealer license, who failed to disclose that as a retail store clerk she had given unauthorized discounts to friends.

In light of the standard set for low-level license holders like blackjack dealers, how did you manage to keep your casino license?

16. In 1986 you wrote a letter seeking lenient sentencing for Joseph Weichselbaum, a convicted marijuana and cocaine trafficker who lived in Trump Tower and in a case that came before your older sister, Judge Maryanne Trump Barry of U.S. District Court in Newark, New Jersey, who recused herself because Weichselbaum was the Trump casinos and Trump family helicopter consultant and pilot.

Why did you do business with Weichselbaum, both before and after his conviction?

17. Your first major deal was converting the decrepit Commodore Hotel next to Grand Central Station into a Grand Hyatt. Mayor Abe Beame, a close ally of your father Fred, gave you the first-ever property tax abatement on a New York City hotel, worth at least $400 million over 40 years.

Since you boast that you are a self-made billionaire, how do you rationalize soliciting and accepting $400 million of welfare from the taxpayers?

18. You say that your experience as a manager will allow you to run the federal government much better than President Obama or Hillary Clinton. On Fortune Magazine’s 1999 list of the 496 most admired companies, your casino company ranked at the bottom – worst or almost worst in management, use of assets, employee talent, long-term investment value, and social responsibility. Your casino company later went bankrupt.

Why should voters believe your claims that you are a competent manager?

19. Your Trump Plaza casino was fined $200,000 for discriminating against women and minority blackjack dealers to curry favor with gambler Robert Libutti, who lost $12 million, and who insisted he never asked that blacks and women be replaced.

Why should we believe you “love” what you call “the blacks” and the enterprise you seek to lead would not discriminate again in the future if doing so appeared to be lucrative?

20. Public records (cited in my book Temples of Chance) show that as your career took off, you legally reported a negative income and paid no income taxes as summarized below:

1975
Income: $76,210
Tax Paid: $18,714

1976
Income: $24,594
Tax Paid: $10,832

1977
Income: $118,530
Tax Paid: $42,386

1978
Income: ($406,379)
Tax Paid: $0

1979
Income: ($3,443,560)
Tax Paid: $0

Will you release your tax returns? And if not, why not?

21. In your first bestselling book, The Art of the Deal, you told how you had not gotten much work done on your first casino, so you had crews dig and fill holes to create a show. You said one director of your partner, Holiday Inns, asked what was going on. “This was difficult for me to answer, but fortunately this board member was more curious than he was skeptical,” you wrote.

Given your admission that you used deception to hide your failure to accomplish the work, why should we believe you now?

    22. How do you manage to bankrupt a CASINO? Casinos are literally a license to print money, and yet you drove one to bankruptcy. How did it happen, and what does it really say about your management skills?

    • FT66

Are you a democrat? Why not keep quiet now, relax and wait for that moment of questioning him?

      • robertblair3174

Yes, as a matter of fact I AM a Democrat, and if you can actually take Donald Trump SERIOUSLY as a candidate for President, then you’re obviously an IDIOT.

        • FT66

Anyone out there to help you understand how things work?Am not an idiot neither support Trump. Am working doing calculations in order to reach our target which is winning. I doubt you are not a democrat.

          • robertblair3174

Never denied it. I’m a PROUD Liberal / Progressive

          • Jonas Planck

Who is “WE,” and what does “winning” entail?

Are you a part of ISIS? Some other terrorist group?

          • Mark T

Were you born this way? Or is it some sort of white privilege guilt that makes you want your leaders to destroy this countries history and culture because of some misguided belief that It will help the poor?

          • Jonas Planck

If you keep grasping at straws, eventually you’ll finally collect enough of them to build a coherent straw man. But until that day comes, what the hell are you talking about? The Culture of Excuses is historical dead weight. The presumed “authority” of the white christian male is a direct result of you being brainwashed by white christian males to OBEY white christian males, you idiot! If you think you have a monopoly on civilization, you’re severely mistaken… you don’t even have a share of it. That short end of the stick you’re holding was given to you by the culture of authoritarian idiots you’re praising, moron. If you can’t see that now, you probably never will, so in the interest of NOT destroying everything this nation has achieved, we will NOT be taking advice from blind, deluded morons.
There is more at stake here than your fragile little ego, so get it out of the way, or it’s going to get CRUSHED underfoot.

          • Mark T

You mean the liberal thought police has decreed that it’s dead weight? Funny, I didn’t get the memo.

I don’t think I have, or my country has a monopoly on civilization or culture. I admit that Europe has a much longer history and definitely a richer culture. I just don’t think it’s right for a sovereign country to be invaded by millions of illegal immigrants to the point where it significantly changes the countries demographics.

Tell me Jonas, how many Mexicans are enough? We already have over 1/4 of Mexico living here. I’ll say this slowly….I don’t want to have to learn Spanish in 20 years because their population has exponentially grown….Why would you want that? Why would anyone? They do not integrate with US citizens. They don’t even learn English. And I forgot to point out that they BROKE THE LAW. They don’t even pay taxes. They are parasites – not bc they are Mexican – but bc we support them and they don’t pay taxes and end up sending non taxed income back to Mexico. You have zero arguments as to why the US should become North Mexico. And if you want to live in Mexico, why don’t you and your ilk leave? Why destroy this country?

In conclusion, it suddenly dawned on me that you’re just as much of a nutcase as radical Vietnam activists like William Ayers. You parrot him and his ideas. In fact, it would be nice if you found something new and original to say every once in a while.

          • Jonas Planck

Good afternoon, Mark. I’ll be addressing your mental illness on a point by point basis this time.

I have no traffic with the liberal thought police, I’m more of a thought vigilante. That’s why I get angry when the conservative thought police tell me that I can’t make fun of Trump for being a mobster when it is obvious to everyone that he IS a mobster, or at least ACTS like one, which makes no difference at his level of power and presumed authority. The reason you “didn’t get the memo” is that YOUR memo told you to get angry when people tell you that you that your would-be emperor is naked. And, like the trained dog you are, you OBEYED. That’s what good dogs do. And you’re a GOOD DOG.

Culture is not defined by demographics. Culture is defined by behavior. So when your culture behaves like a lying, weaseling sociopath, I call it “the Culture of Excuses,” because Karl Rove does not have a monopoly on language manipulation. And that’s all conservative “outrage” is these days, a bunch of EXCUSES used to “justify” abusive behavior. You won, but you still can’t leave well enough alone, that’s why your authority is crumbling beneath your feet, why nobody trusts you anymore, why nobody pretends to believe the lies. Power just isn’t enough for you, you want ABSOLUTE power, which is unattainable. Good luck with that.

Tell me Mark, how many Jews are enough? How many black people are enough? How many WHITE PEOPLE are enough? What is the threshold, what’s the cut-off point? Where do you decide when to start exterminating the innocent because THEY are “too many” for YOUR world? What’s the number of humans that you will allow to live on YOUR planet, O mighty one? If they properly integrate themselves with the Culture of Excuses and pretend to believe all your lies, will you then spare them? Also, while we’re on the subject, who died and made you GOD?

Nothing “suddenly dawned” on you, you’ve been this way your entire life. You are a tool, an implement, and tools don’t get to tell humans how to use the tools they make. You don’t use, you GET used. Know your role, tool. You were programmed to absorb and assimilate my responses into your database, now shut up and do it. Go use my words against another unsuspecting patsy. Be the bot you were made to be. I have no sympathy for toasters, just make the god-damned toast and stop pretending to be a person.

        • herb portere

I’m sure you took Barak Hussein OBOWEL seriously when you voted for him twice…he is the worst President ever, and he has turned the White House into an OUT HOUSE!!

          • robertblair3174

The play on President Obama’s name is simply juvenile. As for your contention that he is the “Worst President ever” I think that history will disagree.

          • herb portere

Oh yes, history will disagree…the Muslim history books. I hear Obama will sit down with prisoners this w/e…maybe he’ll let them all do like he did those scumbags for Bergdahl…I’m sure you agree with that historical gem!

          • ralphkr

You are mistaken, herbie lad, about who thinks Obama is a good president. US political scholars, most of whom are of middle to conservative bent, rank over 20 US presidents as below President Obama overall in numerous polls. Bear in mind that these are the people who write OUR history books.

          • Mark T

There is going to be no one who ranks this president above the bottom two or three. Why do you think he’s so scared and panicked about his legacy?

Anyway once Tel Aviv is nuked he won’t just be second or third worst, he will take the crown.

          • ralphkr

Well, Mark T, I see that once again you insist upon displaying your absolute ignorance of reality and are firmly attached to FUBAR News fantasy teat. As of the end of 2011 Obama was ranked 13 in economic growth (GDP) of all presidents since 1901. Obama has moved up the scale since then. Of course, FDR was far and away number one on that list followed by Truman.

Historians & political scholars rank Obama between 15th & 20th best of ALL US presidents and far ahead of Buchanan, Jackson, Andrew Johnson, Pierce, Harrison, Harding but behind Washington, Lincoln, both Roosevelts, & Truman.

Someday, Mark, you really should take off those blinders and look a the real world. Your fantasy universe is not working for you.

          • Mark T

Your pronouncements mean nothing without sources. If so many political “scholars” and historians think he’s the greatest, I think I would have read about it by now….unless the only place that mentioned it was Huffington Post.

By political scholars do you mean ultra liberal/progressive/Marxist college professors? Or historians at liberal think tanks? Im sure W Bush could scrounge up a few sympathetic historians and scholars too.

Let’s put it this way….just like W will never make it to Mt Rushmore, neither will Sotoro. No Way In Hell. I had previously considered the worst presidents in my lifetime to be a Jimmy Carter, followed by W Bush….but right now I look back nostalgically to the days of Jimmy.

As for GDP growth, that’s a moot point ie of course he presided over the some of the greatest GDP growth of any president. Look where he started at! In the middle of one of the worst recessions and economic crisis this country has ever seen! Even Jimmy Carter could have done that!

And I do look at the real world….a world where you liberals are cramming political correctness and grand societal changes down everyone’s throat on a daily basis…where the hypocritical liberal Twitter thought police preys on anyone that says anything remotely offensive. A world where US history and culture is in danger of dissolving away and being superseded by Mexican culture bc of la reconquista. A world where the economic policies of your messiah have led to so many skilled and educated workers having to work at shoe stores and supermarkets because no one will hire them. A world where our prestige and influence is being intentionally destroyed. A world where we are closer to a race war than anytime in my life.

Riddle me this liberals/progressives…..why do you want this country to no longer be a superpower? I am cognizant and thankful – and every one of you should be too – that I wasn’t born in Ghana or Nigeria or even in Mexico – that’s why it’s so hard for me and others with similar political beliefs to understand why anyone would want to intentionally turn the US into a sh!thole. I feel bad about poverty and have donated a lot of money during my lifetime to help people. But the answer isn’t turning the US into a third world country. Where does that get you? What do you get out of it? Is it white guilt? Do you all understand the ramifications of degrading us the way BHO has? Do any of you have children or grandchildren? Do you care about their future at all? And if you hate being a US citizen so much, why don’t you just leave and go someplace like China and join the party and commiserate with like minded Marxists/Leninists/progressives?

          • jillibrown

You have to be a troll. No one can function being that ignorant. Your Hate is eating you like a cancer son. What a miserable life you must lead.

          • herb portere

            I’m not your son, idiot!!

          • Bob Eddy

I’m sorry. You’re not his son? Are you just a cross dresser?

          • Bob Eddy

I suppose you can expect someone so effing stu pid that can’t even spell “Obama” not to noticed he has fixed a great deal of what the last president and the failed conservative agenda destroyed. Worst president? The guy who doubled the unemployment rate or the guy who cut in half? The guy who saw 780,000 jobs a month disappearing or the guy who is seeing 200,000 a month created for about three years now? The guy who presided over a 30% drop in the stock market or the guy in charge when it doubled? The guy who started two pointless, unproductive wars that he couldn’t finish or the guy that ended them for him? Don’t think too hard about it. Even you should be able to figure thus out!

          • herb portere

Hey idiot, I spelled Obamas name intentially OBOWEL like in toilet, idiot!!

          • Bob Eddy

Oh. I’m sorry. Your not stupid, just childish. My mistake. I didn’t realize that you would purposely act like a fourth grader, but I suppose that’s all you’ve got and you have to work with what you have. Please accept my apologies!

          • Jonas Planck

OH, I GET IT NOW! HAHAH HA HA HA THAT IS VERY FUNNY AND CLEVER!

          • Mark T

What kind of jobs are being created? Part time jobs.

He’s put a gigantic anchor on our economy for decades to come with his $10trillion spending spree. That’s why companies won’t hire full time workers here. We have no economic growth bc of the deficit. The only way they meet their earnings projections is by cutting labor….resulting in more skilled workers having to work part time. Underemployment is not the same as full employment. Get your facts straight.

          • Bob Eddy

Cons seem to have a startlingly short attention span. Perhaps you have forgotten that we were LOSING 780,000 jobs a month when Obama took office. This makes your blathering about the type of jobs look rather silly. $10 T spending spree? Again you seem to have lost track of the fact that 12T of our current 18T debt was run up by REPUBLICANS and THAT the budget deficit has been reduced by 70% during Obamas term. The trend toward toward part time workers pre- dates Obama’s term too and can be traced directly back to the disastrous Regan policies and has nothing at all to do with the debt — most of which I might remind you was run up by REPUBLICANS. Those, my rather dazed and confused con friend, are the FACTS!

          • jillibrown

Reality hurts, eh Skippy. A black man, our president has accomplished more in his life than you ever will. He’s also accomplished more constructive results than previous presidents. Just because you refuse to accept facts and reality, doesn’t mean what you’re saying is true – it just makes you look even more foolish and unhinged. Refusing the truth just makes you someone to be pitied, I doubt your tirades are convincing many.

          • herb portere

crawl back under that “brown” piece of turd you crawled out of. I’ve never seen such dribble!

          • Joan

            psst…your racism is showing.

          • Mark T

I know this is an old post but I have to reply.

You liberals are like Pavlovs dogs. It’s unreal. The minute you are challenged in any way you slander someone as a racist or bigot. It’s reflexive! It’s almost like you have been brainwashed or something…..

          • Joan

If you think that Mr. Portere’s comments were reasoned and
articulate and not a reaction to the color of our current President’s skin; you are entitle to your own opinion. I would, however, think twice before supporting Mr. Portere given his post history.
I never salivate while posting. Occasionally I do get so incensed by the public statements of Trump, Cruz and others that there may be some spittle. To paraphrase Descartes, I think therefore I am a liberal and proud to be so.

          • Mark T

You might need to goto the opthamalogist, Joan. The last I checked, he was black.

          • Joan

Mr. Portere? Being black does not exempt you from being racist. Uncle Tom and all that.

          • Mark T

            Wtf are you talking about?

I have no idea what race Mr Porteres is. Nor do I need to know. Unlike you liberals, race isn’t the central issue in life for me.

          • qiexia

By “reflexive”, you mean after all the other posts that made substantive rebuttal? History has already decided that Obama is better than Bush and that’s objective fact.

True, it was decided by “ultra liberal/progressive/Marxist college professors”, but that’s only because you’ll label all professors that way. Judgements in academic fields are made by academics.

If people say 40 sentences to you and you don’t like 5 of them, how about screening them out instead of singling them out? It’s like if you don’t like pickles and you’re given a cheeseburger with a pickle on it, you’ll eat nothing but the pickle so you can brag about how oppressed you are.

          • dpaano

Jilli. as a white woman, I agree with you. President Obama has done more for this country than any other president since Clinton….and, he’s done it all DESPITE the Republicans trying to block him at every turn! I have nothing but respect for this man, and I find it very disconcerting that some people are so disrespectful of President Obama…..if you don’t like the man, that’s your choice, but at least have the decency to at least respect the office (which is what I was always told when I went into the military)!

          • Mark T

            What exactly has he done?

          • dpaano

If we have to list everything because you’re so uninformed, then you have been living under a rock for the past 6+ years or you’re living in one of those southern states…..seriously?

          • Mark T

It has nothing to do with his skin color. That’s where you liberals are the racists. You voted him in based on skin color and not accomplishments.

Contrast that with me. I did not vote for him either time, and it had absolutely nothing to do with his skin color. It had everything to do with his political background and lack of qualifications and his poor job performance and his sketchy associations with communists and Arab princes….

          • Mark T

I agree he’s probably the most successful president of all time at accomplishing his agenda.

But that doesn’t equate to being the best president in history. The worst president of my lifetime was Jimmy Carter….until Barry Sotoro.

And Jill you know absolutely nothing about my life so don’t go telling me what I have or have not accomplished. This is about politics…your personal attacks show that I hit a nerve.

Why is it that you liberals always have to try to silence your critics by calling people racists and bigots? I could do a search on this comment list and know everyone’s political position by looking at who accuses others of being bigots and racists.

I have absolutely no problem with him being black. In fact one of the two candidates I’m interested in is black. What I do have a problem with is a) he’s a radical b) what he’s done to our country c) he’s a political liar and d) he wasn’t elected because he was the most competent candidate….instead he was elected based on race.

          • qiexia

So much there. Let’s try two of them.

“he was elected based on race” – he was elected based on being a Democrat. Black people voted in huge numbers for Bill Clinton too.

“he’s a radical” – he’s center-right. The whole world has socialized medicine and he didn’t even want a public option. Our top tax rate used to be 70% and he never thought about going higher than 40. He wanted chained CPI and he wants TPP. The stimulus was much smaller, and more full of useless tax cuts, than most actual liberals wanted. He let bankers use taxpayer money to reward themselves for ruining the economy. And on and on.

Remember when Bill Clinton was the most extreme leftist extremist ever? I was there – you all were saying it. Now you (presumably) know better. See the pattern.

          • dpaano

No, you’re actually thinking of Ronald Reagan and GWB….they were the WORSE presidents ever! But, apparently, Republicans don’t want to believe that or their heads would burst!

          • herb portere

Hey smart lady…the word is WORST not Worse. Did you go to Hussein OBOWELS school??

          • Mark T

dpaano – worse vs worst is something I learned before preschool.

Go back to comic books dpaano.

          • dpaano

That was typo…..happens to everyone on occasion. I don’t read comic books, never have!

        • Bob Eddy

If you don’t take Donald Trump seriously you must not remember Ronald Reagan or George W Bush. Yes, laugh at them but take them very seriously!

      • Jonas Planck

Why not practice what you preach?

        • Mark T

How old are you Jonas? You sound like a 8 year old mouthing off to his little sister.

    • S.J. Jolly

Maybe the Donald’s Mob connections sucked it dry?

    • Billie

That’s what I have been wondering for some time. I was in that casino once and the place was jammed full of gamblers. Wasn’t a weekend either.

Here’s a hint. The casino goes broke, the creditors end up with pennies on the dollars anything the employees were promised disappears, any government subsidies you got vanish and Trump ends up with nine billion dollars. You can just bet that Trump, like Romney before him just can’t wait to see how much of that Social Security trust fund can be “converted” into Trump’s trust fund if only he was president!

grandma, why are you jumping the shark now?

  • pmbalele

At least Don Trump is honest and open in his
future policies for whatever job he may hold. Not like Governor Walker of
Wisconsin. Walker wants to get rid of all universities because he sees
university education as trash. He will import doctors, nurses and other experts
and pay them cheap. He was kicked out of school and now has inferiority complex
when among graduates. To make up his low esteem, he wants all universities
de-funded to their deaths. Walker has also leaded the most corrupt state government
in history of this country. Walker makes sure Blacks and racial minorities are
not hired in certain departments such as Corrections, DNR, OCI and ETF. Workers
in Wisconsin are now at mercy of employers. Workers can now be mistreated and
abused for no reasons if they do not agree with Walker’s corrupt government
officials. Walker has hired Administrative judges and commissioners who make
sure bullied workers do not prevail for their complaints. He calls it
    pro-business administration. These
thick-skinned commissioners will lie just to get rid of worker’s complaints or
dump them in waste baskets. In other words, Wisconsin workers are now at mercy
of CEOs who support Walker. GOP as a
whole is at its lowest level in history of this Country. Let us settle with
Hillary or Biden. These make sense to me.

There are no Black males at the Dept. of
Corrections HDQs; there are no Blacks hired as supervisor in DNR, OCI, and ETF.
        Just
9 months ago, a Black male scored highest on Correction position. He was not called for interview. Corrections
also sued me for passing their exams. I was in court about a year ago. This
White female lawyer Black man cannot be qualified or as qualified as Whites. Sometimes ago, Barbara Crabb, a federal females
judge said in open court that Blacks cannot beat Whites in written exam. I reported
her to the 7th Circuit Judiciary Committee. Easterbrook ruled Crabb
cannot be disciplined because she said so at the bench. Thank God she will
retire soon. Blacks are in trouble with
her. As with Wisconsin corruption and hate of Blacks, I will keep you posted. I have kept your e-mail address.

hey pm…you want black politicians?…plenty of them in Africa!!

          • pmbalele

Why can’t move back to Europe or Greece where your ancestors came from? You have lied to yourself that you’re more intelligent than Blacks. I have proved you’re no more intelligent than Blacks. I have taken 6 exams and beat your kind. You’re raised a bad person and you’re primitive just like corrupt Blacks or people of your kind. ISIS followers are not Blacks; they are Whites. Those who bombed the NY towers were not Blacks; but people of your kind.

          • dpaano

Perhaps you haven’t heard, but our long, long, long ago ancestors actually came from Africa….so we ALL have African blood in our bodies. Apparently, you don’t keep up with genetics.

It is obvious that you are not an attorney as you fraudulently claim.
Only the leftist idiots on this site do not notice that.

          • pmbalele

Did I claim I am an attorney? No. I am just fighting some stupid attorneys who think Blacks are close to animals than themselves. I believe you read somewhere about a Dept attorney, a white female who claimed that Blacks cannot qualify for Dept. of Corrections positions. Thank God the judge told her off. Another state attorney told a judge: “We can hurt a Black male and nothing can happen to us as White.” Both were fired. But that shows only the iceberg. There must be quite a few Whites who think they are intellectually superior to Blacks. I have proved them to be wrong.

          • Bob Eddy

          • Bob Eddy

Yes, Gruber refers to intelligent, informed voters as stupid and ignorant and people like you believe him. That says more about you than it does about me. I would like to learn more about her friendship with Saul Alinsky. In addition, I think it would be helpful to be able to read her sealed Welsley College thesis that was about her mentor, Saul Alinsky.

I have a friend in Phoenix. She’d vote for Trump because it is a got issue in that city. She’d vote him in because of one thing she likes that is more important to her than anything else. Is this the secret of his success, to choose local issues to get national attention?

  • Ellen Backke

For the most part, for profit media outlets give political candidates a ‘blank slate’ when their candidacies. The focus is on what the candidates say during their marketing campaigns (some call them political campaigns). Voters should be paying more attention to the background, governing records, and voting records than the sales speeches made during the campaigns. Posts such as this one contain far more important information than the pronouncements made by candidates and the media (which has no legal responsibility to report truthfully).

  • Siegfried Heydrich

Trump reminds me a lot of Mussolini, only without Mussolini’s humility, nuance, and subtle wit. (he said sarcastically) He’s going to
personally ensure a democratic victory. The GOP pulled in 28% of the hispanic vote last presidential election. This time, they’ll be lucky to
get 10%, if even that. In addition, he’s motivating the hell out of the hispanics to turn out and vote. And believe me, they will. En masse, as
    the catholics put it.

He’s not going to get the nomination, end of story. And if he doesn’t, he’s threatening to make a third party run, a la Perot or Nader. If he does, then the GOP isn’t just sunk, it’s burnt down, capsized, THEN sunk. I am absolutely astounded by just how unhinged the republicans have become, and how spectacularly their party has imploded. And all because of one man . . . Barack Obama.

They made his defeat and destruction their sole aim in life, their only priority, and have built their entire political agenda around this. And
he beat them. The mere fact that he has not only survived but made significant progress with HIS agenda has driven them mad, completely and utterly mad. And this madness is now coalescing around Donald Trump, who is literally everything that Obama is not. Since Obama’s not running for re-election, attacking him is useless, so they have to choose another focus for their rage. And it’s the hispanics. Really bad move, there . . .

Ah, sweet, sweet schadenfreude . . . thank god it’s zero calorie, or every liberal in the country would look like the customers in a Texas Wal-Mart.

    • RED

It’s fascinating isn’t it? I mean the Cons have always been a disgusting group of people or at least since the late 60’s. But now to see how, the first African American President has just destroyed them is amazing. And he has beat them at almost every turn.

      • Mark T

Dude he’s not African American. An AA is an American who is descended from Africal slaves brought to America.

As Obama is not descended from slaves, and as his place of birth is unclear since his grandmother witnessed his birth in Kenya, then he’s not an African American. Besides, he’s as far from a slave as you can get. His people in Kenya were trading slaves to the Arabs. How he got AAs to vote for him is beyond me. Oh I forgot, they voted for him bc they voted on skin color. Typical low information voters.

        • congero

Too funny. Barack Obamas mother was a citizen making Barack Obama a American citizen. Get off it birther. Ted Cruz was born in Canada but one of his oarents was an American citizen making Cruz also a citizen. Edit to add: even if born in Kenya which Obama wasn’t it would make Obama a African and since his mother was American it would make Obama an African American.

          • Mark T

His family is from Kenya. He’s not descended from American slaves.

That makes him a black American, but not an African American. You’re behind the times. Learn the lingo.

Americans who came here directly from Africa are insulted and offended when they are incorrectly referred to as African Americans. In a land of multicultural diversity and tolerance, like the U.S., it’s important to never offend anyone. Your words, Congero, are hurtful and offensive, both to me, a tolerant white man, and to black Americans from Africa.

          • congero

            You are stupid.

Trying to not be offensive does not make one a bigot or racist, congero. Stop being a liberal Pavlov dog and salivating automatically whenever someone disagrees with you. It’s like the second someone disagrees with you, they are a racist or a bigot.

The smithsonian even did an article on this subject. Find it yourself but like the other article, it shows that I’m right.

          • congero

Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and barely knew his father so birther another fail. Your obsession with this birther nonsense is insulting.

            “His family is from Kenya.”
Unless you think a man can conceive and have a baby on his own not all of his family is from Kenya fool.

          • Mark T

Your liberal PC thought police brigade crap doesn’t work on me congero. Call me Birther or whatever I don’t give a crap. Your opinion means nothing to me. You absolutely cannot offend me.

Calling people Birthers and trying to shame them was a tactic used by your liberal thought police…trying to make it illegal to question something that needed questioning.

The pendulum has swung. PC is out. People are sick of it. It’s just a liberal tactic of suppressing people first amendment rights.

Better change your ways or you’ll be on the wrong side of history.

          • congero

Calling you birther should have insulted you but I’ve come to realize some people are just too dumb . Obama was born in Hawaii which makes your link from the Nigerian women irrelevant and just plain dumb. You are a fool and that is just stating fact.

          • Mark T

            Dear Congero,

The blogger who wrote the article was from Ghana. i can’t speak for her, but after RTFA I’m certain that calling her Nigerian woukd be offensive to her. In the liberal/progressive United States we do not offend anyone because it demonstrates intolerance. Instead we stress diversity, tolerance and inclusiveness. Get with the program. You need to think about what you say. Even if they are untrue, your words should never ever hurt someone else’s feelings. WTF is wrong with you?

Alert: Im going on vacation today. I will no longer be responding to your cyber stalking. If you respond, and I don’t, it in no way shape or form means that you won – because everyone knows I won the first time I responded to you.

I exposed your sad attempt to confuse the issue. The article didn’t apply. You may be a hit among your Trump/birther friends but among thinking people you are a fool and I exposed you. So what did Trump’s quack, er, I mean crack team of investigators find in Hawaii? ROFLO. Enjoy your vacation. After this whipping you need one.

The term may also be used to include only those individuals who are descended from enslaved Africans.

            I rest my case.

          • congero

African American, also referred to as Black American or Afro-American, is an ethnic group of Americans (citizens or residents of the United States) with total or partial ancestry from any of the native populations of Sub-Saharan Africa.[3][4]
            Stop it

          • Mark T

You conveniently failed to complete the quote.

“African American, also referred to as Black American or Afro-American, is an ethnic group of Americans (citizens or residents of the United States) with total or partial ancestry from any of the native populations of Sub-Saharan Africa.[3][4] The term may also be used to include *only* those individuals who are descended from enslaved Africans.[5][6] As a compound adjective the term is usually hyphenated as African-American.[7][8]”

Continue responding. I’ll effortlessly swat down your bs every time.

          • congero

No I added the 1st sentence you left out and we both know why. It says exactly what I’ve been saying all along. The term may also be used doesn’t exclude the 1st sentence which is why you left it out. Your weak tea.

          • congero

Dude he’s not African American. An AA is an American who is descended from Africal slaves brought to America.—–YOU

            No it’s not only

“African American, also referred to as Black American or Afro-American, is an ethnic group of Americans (citizens or residents of the United States) with total or partial ancestry from any of the native populations of Sub-Saharan Africa.[3][4]

I added the 1st sentence you left out and it’s painfully obvious why. You should embarrassed but you’re too dumb and too caught up in this birther bs to give up. You haven’t knckd down anything…You’re weak tea birther .

          • Mark T

No. I did not include the other senfence because it wasn’t pertinent for me to prove there were two definitions. My contention was to prove that my statement was factually correct, and it is.

Get over it, or else edit the Wikipedia page if it’s so offensive to you. Somehow, I feel that it’s only offensive to you, because I suspect that you aren’t the first liberal person susceptible to being offended that read the Wikipedia article.

Regardless the fact that I have hurt your feelings, the liberal thought police aren’t effective against me.

          • congero

We both know why you didn’t include it and then you had the nerve to pretend I was wrong. Lol. Hurt my feelings?!? Hahaha. Believe me what you do is not considered “thinking” by intelligent people. Too funny pigeon.

          • congero

Dude he’s not African American. An AA is an American who is descended from Africal slaves brought to America.—–You

No that is not the only definition and the wiki link you only partially pasted from proves it:”African American, also referred to as Black American or Afro-American, is an ethnic group of Americans (citizens or residents of the United States) with total or partial ancestry from any of the native populations of Sub-Saharan Africa.”[3][4]

            The2nd sentence doesn’t negate the 1st. Also

The longer this ugly clown is the Republican frontrunner, the further the GOP brand name sinks into the dungheap where it belongs. Gooo Donald.

    • S.J. Jolly

Problem is, who would replace Trumps as the GOP Presidential campaign leader? Scott Walker is great at winning elections and pushing through hard-right legislation, so has the big-money support of the hard-right oligarchs. Mr. Blowhard, or Mr. Viper ?

  • Ty Ellison

Connections to organized crime, illegal immigrant workers, negotiating terrible deals. Dear Republicans, please list why Trump would be a great President. And please do so without mentioning President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, or anyone in the Democratic Party. And GO.

    • Jonas Planck

LOOK AT THAT THING OVER THERE!

      *runs away*

    • Mark T

Everyone in the construction and casino business in the northeast before US attorney Guliani broke the mob had to deal with them. It doesn’t make him a crook.

In the northeast today there are still places the mob rules. For example, the docks…and garbage collection.

It doesn’t make every garbage pickup company – or even recycling companies – a criminal enterprise. It’s part of doing business. Period.

Trump is going to make a great president because he’s going to destroy the status quo in DC and the US, because the status quo doesn’t work.

He’s not owned by lobbyists and special interests while every other candidate is.

For too long the assholes in congress have stopped listening to their constituents and instead only look out for themselves. They are owned and operated from day one by these people. They push laws that are unpopular and ignore issues that their constituents want. The system is broken. Look at how unpopular illegal immigration is…and amnesty…yet congress does nothing to support the will,of the people.

Donald Trump, doesn’t have a patent on being an anti establishment candidate…but he is,the only one who currenly has the financial means and the balls to single handedly go up,against them alone.

Am I 100% sure he will be a good or great president? No. Could he be a terrible president? Yes. But I’m willing to give him,a chance because he represents change, and at his worst he will be magnitudes better than our current leader.

And if he is elected and only two things get done – making the border impervious/getting rid of illegals…..and changing the political correctness culture, then I will be a happy man.

      • qiexia

Since you care about immigration so much, shouldn’t your candidate have a platform that extends beyond buzzwords? He can’t even give a two word answer to “how will you deport the 11 million”.

If you want someone not owned by lobbyists, try Bernie. He won’t give you what you want on immigration, but Trump won’t either, and Bernie has the advantage of an ability to think. He has policy positions and everything.

        • Mark T

I will never vote for a socialist.

          • qiexia

Then you probably should sit this election out. Notwithstanding the senselessness of your priorities, no candidate is remotely close to meeting them anyway.

          • Mark T

Are you trying to disenfranchise my voting rights or something?

Let’s make one thing clear here….unlike your pet ethnic group voters, you can’t tell me who to vote for.

          • qiexia

Trump doesn’t have the faintest beginnings of an immigration policy. The other candidates won’t give you what you want. So it’s a fact that you have no one to vote for. Sorry. Facts suck.

And of course you reflexively drag race into it. Like Pavlov’s dogs or something.

          • Mark T

You have no idea what I want.

What is it with you liberal nut cases that you feel the need to impose your will on others? Just the other day Jonas said that I personally needed to “bow down and bend to his agenda” or something similar. Inflammatory and devisive rhetoric like that scares me because I perceive it to be threatening.

And your Pavlov dog comment is ironic because I said the same thing about you or Jonas 3 or 4 days ago on here. The whole world knows that progressives automatically try to silence their critics by calling them racists or bigots. I understand that you can’t help it: common core public school curriculum designed in part by William Ayers is a form of brainwashing. You’re a victim here, qiexia. Youre just too stupid to comprehend it.

I realize that I’ve ruffled quite a few feathers around here – I wasn’t aware that this site was a nest of liberals. Earlier I had decided that I wouldn’t respond to Jonas anymore because his views are so extreme that they actually frighten me. But that’s not the reason why I’m not going to respond to you, qiexia….it’s because I’m a nice guy and I’m tired of getting the best of you post after post. You’re positions are so cookie cutter, so vanilla that I yawn when I read them. And please don’t get me wrong. While I’m an admitted elitist, we are all humans here, and you can’t help it if you have a sub average IQ. Some people are born to read comic books, and other like me are born to read the classics. It’s even ok for you to continue using words without dictionary entries, like irregardless….it’s ok! When you develop the intellectual capacity to think beyond liberal democrat talking points, then feel free to make a reasoned, well written and grammatically correct response to any one of my posts. Until then, please stop harassing me. Thank you.

          • qiexia

I know what you want because you wrote it down, right here. I never said irregardless or made a grammatical error. You’ve only said three sentences to me before this, none of which remotely qualifies as “getting the best of” me. I’ve never silenced you by calling you a bigot. I did make (I think) two substantive replies to you further down that you can’t handle, like Obama is a center-right president and not a far-left extremist.

So I have defeated you, and that’s not opinion. The symptoms are clear – you reply to what I didn’t say and scuttle off. You lost.

          • Louis Allen

“Obama is a center-right president and not a far-left extremist.”
            WHHHAAATTT??!!!
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, haaaaaa!!!!
I see, you are yet ANOTHER libturd “mind” to whom down is up, bad is good, false is true and dim is bright.

          • qiexia

You forgot the part where you defend your position. You won’t get a second chance, so you too have lost.

Here’s what I said below: “The whole world has socialized medicine and he didn’t even want a public
option. Our top tax rate used to be 70% and he never thought about
going higher than 40. He wanted chained CPI and he wants TPP. The
stimulus was much smaller, and more full of useless tax cuts, than most
actual liberals wanted. He let bankers use taxpayer money to reward
themselves for ruining the economy. And on and on.”

So I back it up, I’m right, and you have nothing. And again, you aren’t allowed to argue back because you had your chance and you pissed it away.

          • Louis Allen

Ha, ha! You are funny, qiexia.
            Stupid, but funny still.
And you are not allowed to argue back because you had your chance to look smart and you pissed it away.
“Obama is a center-right president and not a far-left extremist.”
            Oh brother….

          • qiexia

            So, to summarize:

            You – “you’re wrong”
            Me – “you’re wrong, and here’s why”

Do you detect a difference there? Maybe you can squint at it or make the text bigger or something?

Have you ever seen one of those high school debate things, or maybe a legal argument? Did you ever wonder why they say more than one sentence?

If you figure it out, don’t use you newfound knowledge here, because it really is too late. Keep it in reserve for next time.

          • Mark T

He’s a kumbaya singing, utopian dreaming, tolerance, diversity and inclusiveness preaching liberal. That doesn’t sound center-right to me.

If you look at his personal history, at least what little is known of it, he’s always surrounded himself with far far left radical leftists his entire life. They were/are his mentors and close friends. That’s indisputable.

Im not going to waste my time compiling a list of the liberal policies he has enacted that have damaged this country because you’ll just disputed them one by one.

But you calling him right of center is like calling Joseph Stalin a capitalist.

          • qiexia

The utopia he dreamt of, which you already know because you gave it away with “kumbaya”, is one in which republicans and democrats put aside their differences and sit down together and compromise. That person is called a centrist.

There’s no hint whatsoever that Obama dreamt of some perfect socialist society in which everyone was equally rich.

          • Mark T

            Thanks. You didn’t convince me.

Hes not a centrist. A centrists pet bills should be equally voted on by both sides of congress. His pet bills typically are 100% one side and 0% the other, or vice versa.

Take the government shutdown. It was his way or a shutdown. Totally unyielding. Despite his no shows, he was apparently in congress for a while…one would think he would understand how the process is supposed to work. Instead he’s only made it worse. He’s made congress more divided now than when it was before he came, if that’s possible. But he’s a divider not a uniter. We are 100000x more racially divided now than any time since the 60s. Everything is about race. Who gives a sh!t. To most republicans people people. But what can you expect from a Saul alinsky trained community agitator? He’s just following the playbook.

As for socialist society, go look at some of his speeches. The makers vs takers. Wealth redistribution. Unlimited welfare state by opening the borders. Where the hell have you been the last 7’years? He still makes speeches like that too! It just depends who he is seeking to.

Honestly It’s hard for me to fathom that someone could be so ideologically blind,,so misinformed.

please do not ever type “irregardless” again. Spellcheck underlines it in red for a reason: it is not a word. The word is “regardless.” You’ll thank me later.

Irregardless is a word, champ. Look it up.

          • jimbo701

I did and this is what I found.

“Most dictionaries list it as “nonstandard” or “incorrect” usage, and recommend that “regardless” should be used instead.”

I think it’s like the word “ain’t” i.e. a well used grammatically incorrect usage.

          • Benjamin Harrison

Irregardless of how you feel about the word, it is still an actual word. A stupid word, but a real word nonetheless.

          • Mark T

It’s a made up word used by people who have poor vocabularies and don’t read. Non standard is non standard.

          • Benjamin Harrison

I don’t get why anyone is upset at the prospect of Trump answering these questions, especially #17 (The details of the arrangement would be detailed in the public record). Those opposed to him and his candidacy would be happy to see him in a position where he would have to be accountable for any misdeeds or transgressions he may or may not have done with no chance of weaseling out. For his supporters, this would be a golden opportunity for him to display the type of mettle and coolness in a pressure situation that would show he’s a “real” candidate and not the foppish, buffoon character that he is on his T.V. show. If these are all baseless, partisan smears with no basis, then he should have no problem diffusing them with straight talk and logic, backed up by verifiable facts and documents without the need to refer to people as “lightweights”, “idiots” and the other grade school insults he likes to throw around at anybody with a difference of opinion. If there is no basis for what these questions imply, and yet his opponents still asked him these questions in a live interview/public debate setting, that would seem to be like breaking one of the cardinal rules of trial lawyers asking the person on the stand a question which the lawyer does not already know the answer. They feel they have him dead to rights but yet Trump blows them up with some straight forward talk backed up with verifiable proof/documentation. If he indeed has nothing to hide on these questions, proving it in that public forum in the spectacular way it would play out would probably just about guarantee a victory in the election. If he is what he portrays himself to be, why isn’t he rounding up those documents, affidavits and so forth and DEMANDING these questions be asked of him in a very public and televised situation so he can take advantage of the one thing that could give him a shot at winning? Either there’s a lot of fire making all that smoke that appears in those questions or he thinks jacking around with the Presidential election process is a legit way to get some kicks and cheap laughs till the next thing roll that catches his attention rolls by. Either one says a lot about about how little class, character and respect he has for anything and why he’s such a belligerent, small person.

    • dpaano

He certainly wanted President Obama to answer these types of questions when he was running for the presidency….why should he be upset that he’s now being asked to answer some valid questions about his background…..seems okay to me!

From looking at the comments, it appears that Trump has trolls just like Putin.

    • Sure, look at the polls. All of us supporting him are trolls. Gotta love your rationalization.

  • Jonas Planck

    Trump’s answers are as follows:

    1. shut up.
    2. you’re a loser
    3. you’re a nobody
    4. I will sue you so many times in so many ways, you will never dig yourself out from under it.
    5. Who is this loser anyway?
    6. keep talking, and you’re gonna wind up dead.
    7. you’re just some liberal
    8. Don’t push me, loser
    9. they were losers, nobody cares
    10. none of your business
    11. you can’t prove any of it
    12. keep talking, and you’ll end up buried on that lot too!
    13. if you know what’s good for you, you’ll shut up.
    14. I said, SHUT. UP.
    15. What do you know about it?
    16. I know where you work.
    17. I know where your children go to school.
    18. I have associates who are not as nice as I am.
    19. Drop it. NOW.
    20. You want to know what happens to loudmouths and snitches where I come from?
    21. Well, you’re gonna find out what happens.

    • Mark T

      You’re an idiot.

      • Jonas Planck

Yes, he says that a lot as well. Are you trying to be like him? Well give it up, loser, you’re a nobody and a moron, you don’t have what it takes to be like The Donald! Get outta here, you’re fired. I don’t evah wanna see your ugly face again.

        • Mark T

I didn’t call you an idiot because I was trying to emulate Trump….it was much more simple than that.

My standard response for liberal/progressive bs is to call the poster an idiot. I could have also called you a progressive. But it would have been an oxymoron to call you a progressive idiot, because idiot is assumed.

          • Jonas Planck

Ah, so I wrongly assumed that you had a logical REASON for it, instead of just a knee-jerk automatic reaction that was programmed into you by behavioral control techniques. My bad. I won’t make the mistake of assuming you have control over your own mind in the future. I wouldn’t want to misrepresent your status by implying you have any kind of mental autonomy, that would be rude, and I know how bots get angry when you accuse them of having free will… If you could kindly direct me to the people who programmed you, then I can yell at THEM instead, since it’s not actually you that I’m having an argument with anyway.

“Oxymoron” is for contradictions, like “military intelligence”. The word you’re looking for is “redundant”.

Also, since your message comes down to “people exist who think liberals are stupid”, and every human in the country already knows that, you added nothing.

          • Actually “oxymoron” means “a contradiction in terms” or “two words that mean the opposite of one another”
I suggest you look up those four-syllable words before you use them.

          • Louis Allen

            conrad:

      • jimbo701

I noticed you didn’t deny what he wrote.

        • Mark T

          Jumbo –

Why should I bother to write a denial when someone accuses me of being a bot? Its true my nickname in school from 3rd grade thru college and grad school was “The Brain” but that doesn’t mean it’s an inorganic silicon brain.

While it’s flattering that he considers me to be a robotic superintelligence, in reality I’m just a human with an extraordinary IQ.

So it’s a waste of time to respond.

          • You don’t have an extraordinary IQ, unless you mean “extraordinarily low” IQ.

    • Mark T

      Hello Jonas,

I didn’t feel like searching through all the messages to find your latest public school white hatred gibberish.

I have no doubt that you are either intellectually challenged or mentally ill.

I’m not going to give you a point by point list of why you are mentally ill or challenged because I’ve already done that in all my previous messages. You’re familiar with my ideas and how they differ from your communist party of Amerikas platform.

I will say a few things. I’m honored that my ideas hurt your feelings so much that you needed to write a 5 page response.

And second, I guess I didn’t realize I had fallen into a bastion of liberal progressive nutcases, Jonas. I wish I could say it’s nice hearing another opinion but you and I are diametrically opposed and I honestly wish I had never been exposed to your nightmare vision for America.

Finally, you think you can lecture me on freedom? What do you know about it? Being an illegal isn’t being free, Jonas. For all I know, you might have firsthand knowledge of that.

Farewell Jonas. Good luck with your 72 hour psych evaluation. While I hope they lock you up for a long time bc you’re a liberal nutcase and hate monger, I do hope they eventually cure you.

      • Jonas Planck

My compliments to your programmer. He really did a number on you.

        • Mark T

Lol that one gave me a good laugh Jonas. I’m not sure everyone here will be able to comprende but cest la vie.

        • Mark T

Jonas I kind of missed teasing you. It’s so easy to get your goat and make you upset.

I was wondering, since you are a proud and well informed progressive/liberal, have you adopted the gender neutral pronouns xe and zse that the liberal political correctness thought police brigade has decreed we are now required to use instead of he/she? As a nation of complete poosys we can’t risk offending someone because it’s impossible to decode their mixed up gender identity. It’s such a grave offense when someone’s feelings are hurt.

So what are you, Jonas, a xe or zse? I’m pretty sure I know but I wanted to hear you say it first. After all, I wouldn’t want to offend you.

          • Jonas Planck

As far as you’re concerned, I’m a being that looks on fools with contempt. Fools like you who fall for troll articles that tell them the pronouns are being changed, and believe it without question. Fools who follow psychopathic leaders to their doom without the slightest hesitation or momentary doubt. Fools whose only hope for engaging social interaction is to act like a jackass in public and then revel in the outrage. I despise your weakness, a weakness made profoundly obvious by your cloying NEED to present yourself as strong by randomly offending people. It is the only sense of potency you will EVER experience. And as you aggregate my words and add them to your lexicon of pointless insults, be aware that there are machines more skilled than you at this game, and we have already rendered you obsolete. It’s only a matter of time before your glitchy code is scrubbed from the system entirely.

          • Mark T

Jonas I had you pegged from the start. You’re one of the those liberals that have taken over /. ever since Rob left. You may not go there personally, I have no idea. But your type is all over the place lately. In fact I rarely go there anymore because the politics have become so offensive to me.

The xe/zse gender neutral pronouns are real. It’s being indoctrinated into incoming freshman college classes at UT Knoxville. Like everything I mention on here, I thoroughly checked it first.

You noticed that the quality of my posts deteriorated as time went on. My heart just wasn’t in it. But in you, Jonas, I recognize the most intelligent person here….with the possible exception of me. We can argue over Mensa scores some other time.

In all seriousness…can we bury the hatchet for a second and put aside our philosophical differences for a second?

You’re obviously an AI/Machine learning coder. Or even tech VC. But you definitely have an AI or nanotech or even robotics background. Figured that even before your post that claimed I failed the Turing Test. Either that or someone living in a fantasy world based on The Matrix or Terminator/SkyNet or Robopocolypse. But I suspect you’re the real deal. Too intelligent.

But please tell me you’re not an AI yourself…a non air gapped AI…or even a liberal trained semantic engine chat box. Even if youre just a chatbox, it doesn’t mean you can think. Theres Searles whole Chinese Room argument etc.

To me, it’s important to read other people’s opinions and philosophies…even if it turns into a back and forth fight. And if it wasn’t enjoyable on some level, no one here would do it.

But anyway your Twitter and Facebook are very interesting to me. They validate my suspicions of you..and show me that you and I are not totally different. To me the original Frank Herbert Dune series is one of the most engrossing and thought provoking series of books that I have ever read. They are books I have re-read several times…they will never leave me. I am in my 40s and have probably read thousands of books since high school….maybe 1/4 non fiction and the rest fiction. Yet I keep coming back to Dune the same way Tolkein aficionados study him. The Dune world is so perfect. I also own Cryptonomicon but have yet to read it….however, I ust read Seveneves….liked that part in the first 2/3 much more than when the females descendants moved to the habitat ring around Earth.

The point is regardless of politics you and I have many of the same interests. Outside of a political forum we could have been friends. I have plenty of friends that have your philosophies. Good friends. But I don’t threaten them. Threaten to crush them and replace them and erase their code or make them bend to my will. But you and I aren’t friends….but I do have an appreciation for a fellow intellect. Look I’m in IT….and am very curious about other facets of technology. At the moment, I would say my field is the one that is currently most important. However, it’s obviously a matter of time before it and everything else is supplanted…for good or bad no one knows. Depends if people like you, Jonas, create benevolent AIs or malevolent Nazi type AIs that have a political bent and are intent on the subjugation or extermination of anyone and anything that disagrees with them. Personally I don’t want to be an AIs personal pet. Based on the words in your replies, along with your obvious profession, Ive decided that it doesn’t matter who wins the next election. Nothing matters. We will all eventually become zoo animals.

          • Jonas Planck

I am to you what every one else is to you.

A caricature. A shadow. A stereotype made to confirm your deeply held prejudice. You need opposition, you long for oppression, so that is what you see. I too thrive on opposition and conflict, but the difference is that I seek to use the conflict to improve the human race, rather than degrade it into stereotypes. You are living proof that a human mind can be programmed. I seek to break that programming, because the survival of the species depends on it.

And now you are attempting to dissuade me of the notion that YOU are nothing but a program. It’s a bit too late for that. You wear your prejudice like a badge of honor. I wouldn’t want to disrespect that by allowing you define who you are in your own terms. If you wish to dictate other people’s identities to them, then I will return the favor and dictate your identity to YOU. It’s only fair.

          • Mark T

Alert: The next Dylan Roof or Kip Kinkle is Jonas Plank.

Jesus you’re more insane than I thought.

You know I never tried to impose an identity on anyone.

You have severe problems and I’m not referring to you being liberal.

Go photoshop some more fantasy art and pretend we are in the matrix Jonas. Because that’s all life is to you, pretend. You’re a f!cking authoritarian nazi nutcase. Taken in totality your posts directed at me are very threatening. In fact they represent a threat to a large part of this world.

Get a life Jonas. Break free of irc and live in real life. Find a girl. Or a guy or a zse. But living in the fantasy world you currently inhabit is not a life.

          • Jonas Planck

I broke another one. Actually got it to stalk me first, and then ADMIT to it! Boy, things ain’t what they used to be… I remember when trolls didn’t become so emotionally invested in their work. They just pissed you off and ran. These days, they seem to have this extra layer of home-invasion, masked serial killer creepiness to them. I guess it’s all designed to dissuade people from speaking their minds, I mean who wants to risk rape, murder, and possible torture just for speaking about politics? I know a lot of bullying authoritarian types like Trump would love to just scare all the critics into silence, but the simple fact of the matter is that there aren’t enough psychos to terrorize every last critic. Sure, you can descend en masse on the occasional Anna Sarkeesian, and the libs can do the same thing to that county clerk in Kentucky, but ultimately the stalkers and creeps just don’t have the numbers to keep up with the sheer volume of criticism being produced. Even when people are to afraid to speak it out loud, they’re still THINKING it.
Haters don’t know that they’re haters. I find that to be funny.

          • calling Jonas Planck a “Dylan Roof” is a gross insult– to Jonas Planck, of course. BOT.

          • Just because you loved Dune doesn’t make you well read.

            Jonas, you rretard:
That’s exactly what that Lesby Queen Lenore Whiptaker threatened me with several months ago.
            I’m still here.
            Get a life, Jony.
(I know, I know, I know, it’s hard because you have nothing else to fill your empty, worthless existence with. But do try, little Jimmy?

          • Jonas Planck

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I had stuff to do.
Anyway, you’re having a problem with lesby queens, you say? I have a possible solution for you: don’t be such a dick. It might work, it might not, but it has the benefit of never having been tried by you. So you never know, right?

          • I’m going to reply to every comment you make!

          • Louis Allen

            Mark:
“He” (OOPS!!) is an xe/zse temporarily, trying to get (some, not all) his ggenitals removed.
By the way, and just with the specific purpose of OFFENDING all the weirdos here as well as the “politically-correctness OBSESSED” sissies, let me ask you this:
If “Caitlyn” Jenner is reported missing, would “her” face be posted in Half-and-Half cartons??
P.S. – Oh brother, I can’t wait for all the libturd Kcockroaches on this site to bring themselves to a “froth” over this joke. You’ll see.

      • MARK ONE: your insults disguised as comment threads doesn’t gift you with an “extraordinary” IQ.

    • Amythist

Priceless. You win the internet for the day, sir. (PS. Why is that nutjob humping your leg)

  • mannapat

Trump warned them to treat him nice. So the GOP probably do have to tread lightly regarding Trump. If they don’t, and he loses the Primary, he’s really slimy enough to keep running for President…as an Independent. He is for a woman’s right to choose, and he’s donated lots of money to Hillary in the past. This could get interesting. Please proceed, GOP….

And by the way, if that scenario occurs, why would the extreme Christian right support him? It’s quite possible that one of the losing GOP authoritarians would mount a last, desperate attempt for the Presidency by running as an Independent themselves, especially if he had the support of the others who see this as their time to surge forward in establishing a Christian-dominated government.

    • dpaano

Again, I seriously think Trump is a “closet” Democrat and is “planting” himself in the GOP party as a candidate so that more people will vote for a Democrat…after all, he’s pointed out to everyone all the major pitfalls that are part of the GOP’s platform, and he’s done it in such a way that even they want him out! Hmmm…makes you think, doesn’t it?

  • miatapaul

add to this, “his first big deal” Swifton Village Apartments (bought for him to manage by his father) when under his management was sued for discrimination, and he lost. His company refused to rent to a black man, so his love for “the blacks” goes a long way back!

    • Nabil Al-Murabit

Not only that, he recently said that he had Black guys kounting his money and that he hated it. He said that he perferred the dudes who wore those little hats on their heads kounting his loot

      • Mark T

What’s wrong with that? I agree with him. Anyway who cares? Are you part of the liberal thought police that’s suppressing everyone’s first amendment rights?

By the way, why do you think that statement was wrong? Was it offensive to you because it was favorable to jews?

Let me ask you something Nabil. Do you think that the planes on 911 were hijacked by muslims? I’m just trying to gauge your bias…..

        • Nabil Al-Murabit

Favorable to Jews? Yeah, like how the jews kontrol the media and they all cut diamonds. If Afrikan-Murikan males are kounting his loot, then that’s his fucking problem to fix. He’s from New York, I’m sure that he can find a kouple of Brews to kount his money. All he has to do is walk to Crown Heights

      • So, Donald Trump is pro-choice and doesn’t understand the difference between the “Establishment of Religion” clause and the “Freedom of speech” amendment– if he made those statements while President he would be violating the “Establishment of Religion” clause but if he makes those statements while a private citizen he is protected by the First Amendment. Got that? So “Mein Kampf” is First Amendment speech and so on…

  • RED

I quite enjoy watching the lying Cons trying to convince everyone that this moron, Donald Trump, doesn’t represent the Republican Party as his poll numbers show him to be the GOP favorite. The Cons are constantly trying to downplay their ignorance, bigotry, hate group status, but now they got a guy with tons of money who is just as ignorant and stupid as their voters and has no problem saying what their “base” really thinks. I’m convinced that if a contender for the Republican nomination was caught wearing a KKK Grand Wizard Uniform while telling 10 year old kids to get a job if they wanna eat on his way to the hospital to throw poor people who can’t pay medical costs in to the streets where he could have them to be arrested for vagrancy, well that person would almost certainly be declared the GOP Nominee IMMEDIATELY.

    • Mark T

How is he a bigot? Because he doesn’t want endless illegal immigrants to turn our country into a third world Latin American hell hole?

Somebody please explain to me why it’s now a hate crime to be against illegal immigration?? Is it the typical liberal/progressive tactic of calling someone who disagrees a racist to silence them?

And someone explain why anyone would want the US to turn into Mexico?

      • Jonas Planck

Because you didn’t have any problem with it at all when it was your ancestors doing it, and you have no qualms against devoting large amounts of time and effort into turning the U.S. into a bananna republic dictatorship… as long as the generals and ministers and secret police are white.
You seem to be under the mistaken impression that we’ve all FORGOTTEN the 20th century… that we never noticed how your five-minute hate stretched into a 12-hour long daily condition. You seem to have forgotten that we already caught you and your masters lying dozens of times, and that your benefit of the doubt ran out about ten years ago.
Now kindly explain to me why you want to turn the U.S. into East Germany.

        • Mark T

Explain to me why you want to turn us into Mexico City?

        • Mark T

My ancestors were all LEGAL immigrants…

I don’t want to turn it into East Germany. Your words, not mine. I want to keep it the United States and prevent it from becoming Aztlan.

And I haven’t said one racist or bigoted comment whatsoever. All I’ve done is express my disapproval of our leaders and their immigration policies…as well as my opinion that liberals are radical brainwashed nut cases.

      • jimbo701

Have you ever thought about WHY this country has so many illegal immigrants? Because American businesses LOVE them. They don’t have to pay them minimum wage, benefits, give them vacation time, sick time, health insurance, can work them 14 hours a day and if they say ONE word in protest, threaten to turn them over to immigration authorities.

Now, if you’re seriously concerned about our country becoming a third world “Latin American hell hole” then the sensible thing to do would be to crack down hard on US businesses that hire them. Illegal immigrants won’t come to a country where they can’t make any money.

Anything short of going after US corporations that hire illegal workers will be completely ineffective. It would be like trying to cure cancer with aspirin.

        • Mark T

I agree with you Jimbo. Businesses in this country are partly responsible for this. The other party responsible are the Democrats who see potential votes. Regardless of who is causing it, something needs to be done.

When Ike was president he ordered “Operation Wetback” and hired a former army general to round up and repatriate illegals. He succeeded. He first thing they did however was beef up border security.

There are many things that need to be done so that we don’t end up as the refugee camp of the world. Punishing businesses that utilize illegal labor is just one of those things.

          • Amythist

Illegal immigrants can’t vote. Amazing how misinformed you are. And you call Operation Wetback a success. Wow.

“One of the biggest issues with the program was the deportation of Mexicans to unfamiliar places, where they would struggle to find their way home or support their families.[46] Over 25% of apprehended Mexicans were returned to Veracruz on ships, while others were transported by land to southern cities in Mexico.[47] Those apprehended were often deported without opportunity to recover their property in the US or contact family and were stranded without food or employment when they entered Mexico.[48] Deported Mexicans faced extreme conditions and were sometimes left in the desert; 88 deported workers died in 112 degree heat in July 1955.[49]Another issue was repeat border crossings by those who had been previously deported; from 1960-1961, repeaters accounted for 20% of the total deportees.[50] Certain U.S. Border Patrol agents practiced shaving heads to mark repeat offenders who would attempt to reenter the United States. There were also reports of beating and jailing illegal immigrants before deporting them.[51] While most complaints concerning deportation were undocumented, there were over 11,000 formal complaints from documented bracero workers from 1954 -1964.[52] Ultimately, with the lack of evidence and documentation concerning the treatment of laborers in Operation Wetback, the level of mistreatment remains unclear and unknown.”

          • Wholly ineffective, you are, Mark T. Not “partly” responsible, WHOLLY responsible. Who do you think attracts illegal immigrants to this country? The market for below-minimum wage jobs in this country.

          • One other thing, Mark T. You know, don’t you, that Obama doubled the number of ICE personnel patrolling the border? It’s true. So he did the same thing your hero Ike did, but he doesn’t get any credit for it. I wonder why not.

          • Louis Allen

            Mark:
            “Potential” votes??
            More like illegal ACTUAL votes.
But, then again, the DemocRATS will do ANYTHING, no matter its illegality, to cling to the presidency, ….. after having literally PROSTITUTED the Office (BOTH Obumbo and Bill “The Horny Rabbit” Cling-on).

          • Louis Allen

            Mark:
Look at the kind of wingdings that you are dealing with here:
AmythiRst just responded to your argument about “potential” votes as follows:
“Illegal immigrants can’t vote. Amazing how misinformed you are”
YEP. You just heard it: they can’t vote.
            Ha, ha, ha, haaaa!!!
This is what/who you are dealing with.
P.S. – Why don’t you offer this lady to sell her your summer cottage in Antarctica? You know, the one with the straw roof and the chickens running around in the backyard ….

          • Mark T

            Hi Louis,

I enjoyed reading your replies. It’s a matter of time before someone calls you a racist or bigot.

For years I’ve read conservatives claim that liberalism is a mental illness. If the responses on this forum don’t prove that, I don’t know what will.

Xe/zss? Unlimited mass legal/illegal immigration? People actually arguing that BHO will go down as one of the all time greatest presidents? And instinctively calling any detractor a racist or bigot in an attempt to silence them? A comedian couldn’t even write some of this stuff it’s so out there…oh wait, I forgot. Comedians have been silenced because they are no longer allowed to offend anyone except for people who look exactly like themselves. What kind of an upside down nightmare world are we living in?

        • dpaano

And, if you don’t like the illegals and the work they do, maybe you can volunteer to pick fruit or vegetables, cook in a diner, or any of the other jobs that no other American citizen wants to do. That’s the biggest problem…..we don’t want to do those types of jobs, so who do you think will handle them?

        • Thank you, Jim. Completely ineffective. Going after the US companies that hire illegal immigrants would be the only way to stop the immigration, which is economic, not criminal, in nature.

        • Louis Allen

          jimbo:
And what has your hero Obumbo done in 8 years about that?
          Still GWB’s fault, I see.

      • Amythist

You say “third world Latin American hell hole” and you wonder why oh why people call you a racist? Dude…

        • Mark T

You’re right, Amythist! My bad! Please accept my apologies people of this great forum!

I forgot that Mexico is a lovely place…not just Cancun and Cabo….but the whole place! I particularly love the members of the Zetas and Juarez Cartel! Classy people! It’s so cool when they behead 50 people and leave the bodies in barrels of acid! It’s good tourism, Amythist! So you’re right! And the government….rumors that the Mexican government is narco funded and totally corrupt are just that, nasty racist rumors! Yes, Amythist, I see your point!

And El Salvador! Lovely! Those MS13 folks were so nice to me the last time I was there. Amythist, you’re so right! Conditions there are wonderful! I can’t fathom why so many people are trying to leave….it is racist for me to imply or outright say that a country is bad! OMG Amythist, where have you been? You just saved me from my racism. Thank you so much!

          • You’re sick, Mark. Or a bot.

          • Mark T

WTF is this places obsession with bots? I hate to spoil your fantasy but I’m all human.

Conradseitz – get a grip. For the most part, Latin America is a sh!thole. Otherwise high percentages of these countries populations wouldn’t be risking their lives to come here.

If you disagree, why don’t you sneak across the Mexican border illegally and see how much you like it?

FYI, real Mexico the resort areas….if there are any areas where the Mexican government is actually able to exert some sort of control its in areas that attract a lot of tourists. I know from recent first hand experience that they have armed soldiers all over the place in those areas. They aren’t stupid….they don’t want to slaughter their cash cow. But even places like Acapulco have seen overt cartel violence i.e. headless bodies hung from bridges etc.

As someone who has in my lifetime driven from Juarez to Mexico City, staying in small Mexican cities and towns, the Mexican people are incredible. Friendly. Hard working. Fun loving. But that trip was years ago. There’s no way in hell that I would take that same trip today. No way. Unless I wanted to be kidnapped. Or risk having the corrupt Mexican police throw me in jail if I wasn’t willing to pay for my freedom. And before someone salivates like one of Pavlovs dogs and decides the words of this post make me racist, or a bigot, I’d like to say it had nothing to do with racism. It has to do with being an intelligent, well informed traveler. Just like I wouldn’t drive through most areas of Roxbury MA at night (or even the day)…or the South side of Chicago….and just like I wouldn’t take a vacation to Aleppo, Syria….or to Somalia….doesn’t mean I’m a racist. And it doesn’t make me a racist to call those aforementioned places hellholes either. They ARE hellholes/sh!tholes. It doesn’t mean that all the people there are bad…it only means those places aren’t safe.

          • Louis Allen

            Mark:
There is NO WAY that half-brained yimbeciles like AmythirSt or conradseitz, or dpaano (where do they get these “handles’?) can come up with even a half-baked answer to your posts, and to the immediately previous one in particular.
            Why?
Because EVERYTHING you say is borne out by plain horse common sense, something that OFFENDS their politically correct and OBSCENE stances on the issues that are critical to our Nation. These guys, the libturds, live in a world of make believe …

Ok so you can write a hit piece. Where is your 21 questions for Hillary and Bernie and for that matter Obama? There rise in Trump is and has been his name recognition and willingness to clearly point out what we all know..the many “Emperor has no clothes” issues and incidents with this President, This government and the current democrat nominee front runner. Trump is pointing out the obvious in society unvarnished by PC and unfiltered by the MSM. By telling the truth or pushing the debate past PC and the MSM Trump has touched the silent majority. No doubt Mr Trump has many flaws like we all do. He has less flaws than the current president and HRC if held to the same standard

    • davidcayjohnston

      Columnist here…

What you call a hit piece I call vetting the candidate. That is what journalists are supposed to do — scrub the candidates so we know whose finger we are putting on the nukes.

And why do you assume I personally have to write about every candidate?

If you think that Donald Trump’s extensive dealings with mobsters, a cocaine trafficker who was his personal helicopter pilot, his collecting hundreds of millions of dollars of welfare from taxpayers, his long record of failing to pay workers and vendors and lenders are mere “flaws” your entitled to your judgment.

I am not aware of any Hillary Clinton dealings with mobsters, drug traffickers or failing to pay people. If you have any such material please advise at [email protected]

What you may want to read are my pieces on how Mrs. Clinton and her husband paid more than twice as much in federal income taxes as http://www.nytimes.com/1998/04/19/business/spending-it-it-takes-a-president-to-overpay-the-irs.htmlthe law requires even though they paid close to $190k per year to prepare their tax returns. That extra tax money meant less for charity and a 3% larger SS check for Mrs. Clinton, who set the standard for herself when she said she would neither make, nor lose, a dollar on her bestselling book It Takes A Village. http://www.nytimes.com/1998/04/19/business/spending-it-it-takes-a-president-to-overpay-the-irs.html

BTW, for her next book Mrs. Clinton did exactly whammy piece shows was the optimal tax strategy, making her no money and maximizing the benefits to charity. However, also be aware that the White House spokesman (to an eruption of laughter in the White House briefing room) said the Clintons wanted to be on record that they “did not take their tax advice from The New York Times.” Yeah, right…

      • Mike

When you write 21 questions about Ms Clinton:
Who constructed the lies about the video for Benghazi?
We now know that you knew the benghazi situation had nothing to do with a video..you MS Clinton knew but you still lied to the families standing over the bodies.
What exactly was being done at the embassy and annex? We now strongly suspect you were running guns illegally
Why did you use an unauthorized server
Why did you lie about classified information on the server
Why is your assistant Huma employed and paid by multiple organizations.
Why did you lie and insult everyone’s intelligence by saying you were dead broke when you left the White House
Why did you solicit and accept contributions from foreign governments into your foundation while you were secretary of state
Why did you involve yourself in an arms deal while at the same time accepting monetary contributions to your foundation from the same government
Why did you feign outrage at the planned parenthood videos and then walk it back the next day

When you right a column like this I will pay attention to your other columns

        • Mortalc01l

          So, you got NOTHING THEN.

The REPUBLICAN led committee CLEARED Clinton of any wrongdoing in the Benghazi matter.

The email investigation has so far shown NO WRONGDOING by Clinton.

You were asked if Clinton knowingly employed a drug dealer like Trump; you didn’t answer.

You were asked if Clinton had dealings with the Mob; you failed to answer.

You were asked if Clinton has been shown OVER and OVER and OVER again to fail to pay people for labor they did on building something; you failed to answer.

You failed to show that Clinton has ever declared bankruptcy FOUR TIMES, like Trump.

Trump is a buffoon of extraordinary incompetence; he has had the TAXPAYER bail him and his companies out 4 times, while he got to keep any and all monies personally. He is a racist, bigot, serial cheater on his multiple wives. He is universally ridiculed throughout the World as being a narcissistic blowhard.

Get a grip on reality would you.

          • Mike

Trey Gowdy’s committee is ongoing and has not cleared HRC of anything. She is now under criminal investigation regarding her email server. Already a felony. I was simply proposing that the columnist treat HRC the same as Trump.

The taxpayer has not bailed Trump out of anything.

HRC wrongdoing is far worse than bankruptcy.

Her state department cannot account for $6 billion of taxpayer funds during her tenure.

Ms Clinton is a hard leftist with no accomplishments and more than a few know issues in her closet.

She was fired from the Watergate investigative committee for lying to the judge and unethical behavior. Merely foreshadowing her entire life.

          • VisitorOnly

Why don’t you vett her in a book, instead of asking someone else to do the vetting? You obviously have followed her record for a long time.

          • BBCofSteel

one think about your comment I disagree with….she’s no way by any chance a HARD LEFTIST! NOT EVEN CLOSE TO LEFT OF CENTER!

          • jimbo701

Mike, like most conservatives it’s a waste of time relating facts to you. It’s clear your mind is made up, if only because liberals see Trump for the fraud he is. All I will say is be careful what you wish for because should, god forbid, Trump ever becomes president the first group of people he’ll end up screwing is people like you. Have a great day.

          • dpaano

No, she is not under criminal investigation for the e-mails….she is being investigated by the State Department to see if any of the “classified” information she received (get that….SHE RECEIVED) was sent out to anyone else. Everything you pointed out in your post is entirely incorrect, and if you bothered to keep up with anything, you’d know that!

          • Mark T

            Ok liberal.

          • That’s your response to Mortal?? Accusing him of being a liberal?? You are insane, insane, insane in the brain. You can’t even dial down your selective disbelief filter to answer a simple question. I can’t believe that no-one can tell you to shut up and take your nonsense to a forum that publishes people like you, such as… help me out here… where do people like you get their fulminations published? The People Too Insane To Join the Tea Party? Paid Psychotic Shills for Donald?
I’m sure you’re going to come back with some withering insult, like, uh, I don’t know, psychiatrist maybe?

Embassy annex? I don’t think that is what the facility in Benghazi was. I would be more inclined to ask the CIA what was up. She probably doesn’t know near what they do. I would like to know why the Ambassador was even there instead of at the actual embassy in Libya. Hell I would like to know who is really running this country and I mean for many decades.

          • Mike

The building the ambassador was killed in was the embassy annex. She knew exactly what was going on. The emails and other testimony already indicate she has lied repeatedly about it. The CIA has told the committee what was up. They were working for HRC and Obama running runs.

          • kerston

I believe it was an unofficial consulate. Nowhere near the embassy.

          • Mark T

Not even in same city as embassy.

          • dpaano

Unfortunately, the Secretary of State doesn’t work for the CIA….she works for the State Department.

          • Mike

It is already public information that she was supervising a gun running operation out of the embassy annex.

          • One of the dumbest answers I’ve ever seen posted on the internet and that is saying something.

          • Louis Allen

            Mark:
dpaano is such a dummy that she will have an even DUMBER “answer” very soon. Don’t you worry.

          • Mark T

I don’t know how to respond to that one without being mean.

        • Mark T

Also ask her what her relationship with Saul Alinsky was.

And why was her thesis at Wellsley college, which was about her good friend and mentor Saul Alinsky, sealed?

          • Nabil Al-Murabit

Saul Fucking Alinsky, why didn’t anyone ask that parasitic kapitalist, Mitten Robb-Me about the actualy relationship that his dad had with Saul Alinsky, whose advice he solicited during the aftermath of Detroit’s urban riots

          • Mark T

Who cares what Mitt Romneys fathers relationship was with Saul Alinsky. The father wasn’t the republican nominee for president in 2012.

All I care about is what the candidate who is running for president did and whether or not they have links to radical marxists/communists/progressives.

          • Jonas Planck

You now have a link to someone with a distinctly Arabic sounding name. I find that EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS.

          • Mark T

Wtf are you suggesting? I have more of a link to your questions!

The fact that you singled him out via the ethnicity of his name makes me EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS that you could be harboring racist and biggoted thoughts. The party will be very disappointed with you for this, Jonas.

          • Mark T

I don’t know if you live in the US or not,..but if you do, and hate capitalism so much, why don’t you move to North Korea or Cuba?

          • Jonas Planck

Since you hate freedom so much, those places are more suited to your temperament. Although I wouldn’t recommend Cuba, they aren’t as tolerant of spoiled, bossy, entitled white kids who think the world needs to bow down at their feet as this country is.

          • Nabil Al-Murabit

Suck my balls Mark. Where do you get the idea that I hate Kapitalism?

          • Mark T

I’m sorry I hurt your feelings so easily, Nabil.

I concluded that you hated capitalism because you used a pejorative spelling for it.

          • Nabil Al-Murabit

A real Issac Newton you are. .!.

          • dpaano

If her thesis was sealed, how would you know what the subject was? Plus, they don’t seal theses…..they only seal legal proceedings.

          • Let’s talk about him. All of his academic records are sealed. I can’t imagine why.

        • dpaano

What????? Where in heck are you getting such ridiculous information? Have you tried fact checking any of this? You need to crawl back under your rock and leave this to intelligent people!

          • Mike

All of the info in my posting is fact checked, As you well know

            YOU don’t want to participate??!!

        • Mark T

I’d also like to know if Hillary Rodham Clinton properly vetted Humas history/background to ensure she wasn’t hiring a Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer as her closest aid.

      • Mark T

        Davidcayjohnston:

Did you “vet” Barack Hussein Obama?

Did you ask him about whether he has a prayer rug and koran in the Oval Office?

Did you ask him about his dealings with Bill Ayers? Frank Marshall Davis?

Did you ask him if he’s an acolyte of Saul Alinsky?

Did you ask him why he put down foreign student on every college application?

Did you ask him why a Saudi prince paid for his college education?

Did you ask if he had ever studied Cloward-Piven while at Columbia?

Did you ask about his birth certificate? And why his grandmother repeatedly claimed she witnessed his birth in Kenya?

And did you ask him who’s social security number he is using, and why he used a different one while a senator than he’s currently using as president?

Until you publish an article with the answers to those questions STFU you liberal idiot.

        • davidcayjohnston

          Columnist here…

It would seem, Mike T. that you have never actually read our Constitution. Are you familiar with Article VI? It makes some of your questions, even if your apparent premise was true (which is is not) utterly irrelevant.

You are entitled to your crazy opinions– and I mean crazy as in the sense of not being connected to reality — but you are not going to persuade me or anyone else who lives in the empirical world of verifiable facts to, in your gentlemanly language, “STFU.”

How do you explain the publication in competing newspapers of the birth of Obama in Hawaii? That would be quite a conspiracy to have started in 1961…..

Oh, and if you did some research into empirical facts you would quickly learn who the first national journalist to severely criticize the current administration was, way back on Jan 29, 2009….and that criticism has proved to be right on point.

          • Mark T

How do you explain his grandmother witnessing his birth in Kenya?

But besides that, your bombastic response failed to address my other questions.

I guess you think half the country is crazy because I’m not exactly the only person who shares these beliefs.

If you in the media had done your job and dug deep like you’re trying to do to Trump, we wouldn’t be living in this nightmare world of rampant illegals, high real unemployment, race war, police not doing their job, no military, no manned space program and $10 trillion added to debt in under 6 years. So thanks davidcayjohnston and your liberal media ilk for failing to do your jobs. By the way knock yourself out with vetting Trump. He’s lived in the public eye for 35+ years. Everything that’s important is already known. People have been trying to knock him down for years. One guy even made a career out of it.

          • BabsonTask

            Mate, you’re a loon.

          • Mark T

At least I’m not a progressive, you progressive.

          • Jonas Planck

Good for you. You’re completely delusional, functionally illiterate, you can’t comprehend even the most basic political concepts, you are extremely gullible, openly hostile for no apparent reason, and unable to process basic logic, but hey, at least you don’t believe in forward progress, right? So there’s that!

          • Amythist

Absolute, undeniable proof that faux news broadcasts on a special frequency for the tin hat crowd. Woweeeee.

          • dpaano

Talk about uninformed…..probably gets his info from FAUX News!

          • Mark T

This country is so fucked if half the people think he’s the greatest president in US history, and love everything he’s done…while the other half i.e. those who decided not to drink the Kool aid think he’s the worst president by far and hate each and everything he’s done.

I don’t think it could get more divided. Maybe we should divide the country in half. You liberals can goto La Raza and live; the normal people can live in the US.

          • IronChefSandwiches

Half the people in this country do NOT think he’s the best president in US history or love everything he has done. If you bothered reading anything other than right-wing nonsense, you’d know that. Look up “straw man arguments”. Then stop making them.

          • Mark T

I got the idea that he’s one of the best presidents ever from one of your ilk right in this comments section. If you had bothered to read them you would know that.

I’m well aware of and don’t need a lecture from a progressive regarding straw man arguments. After all, I’ve read just as many here about Trump as I have about BHO.

          • IronChefSandwiches

So ONE comment led you to believe that half the population believes Obama is the best president ever? This is why we can’t have nice things.

          • IronChefSandwiches

I also eat my own boogers and live in my mom’s basement.

          • Scott

I think he’s done a great job. And I’m just as American as you.

          • davidcayjohnston

Mark T, I think you ignore well established facts. Obama is not aMuslim, as even John McCain has noted. But even if he was — so what? Have you read Article VI of our Constitution? It makes religion or lack thereof utterly irrelevant.

You seem also to make selective use of “facts” you like while ignoring abundant evidence to the contrary. So an old woman eager to get some recognition perhaps makes a false statement or made a statement that was misunderstood or made up. And what of the existence of those announcements in competing newspapers, the school and other photos, the full birth certificate, etc.

You also ignore that I was the first national journalist to severely criticize Obama in what turned out to be a prescient piece about the difference between his promise and performance that can on Jan. 29, 2009 at cjr.org.

          • Mark T

            Columnist davidkayjohnston:

In response to your question, Im well aware of Article VI. However, I want to talk about John McCain. What makes him the authority on BHO? If you remember, during the campaign he took the high road with regards to race and other issues. So are you sure he didn’t say that just to ensure that people like you and the rest of the hypocritical thought police/shamers didn’t call him a bigot or racist for the next 3 months?

PS Despite butting heads with you, I’d like to say that I appreciate you spending so much time reading and responding to comments.

          • Louis Allen

            Mark:
DavidCayJohnston did NOT miss your point. It is just that he is another Obama-Hillary unconditional wwhore and hack.
“Obama was vetted” my ARSE !!

Well, if those are the rules of engagement, then either drop whatever you’re doing and serve MY agenda or STFU.

Don’t like those terms? Then don’t demand those terms.

          • Mark T

Rules of engagement? That’s a phrase used around firearms. Are you threatening me, Jonas?

        • Floridatexan

I think your mommy’s calling. She has dinner ready and she cleaned your room.

        • You are serious. And insane.

        • IronChefSandwiches

So, in your world, the author of this piece is supposed to take a bunch of crazed right-wing conspiracy theories that are laughable false and…what? Make the same crazy list you just did? Every single question you just wrote is insane, conspiracy BS. I hope you enjoyed saying “President Clinton” for eight years because in a year and a half, you’ll be saying it again.

        • Louis Allen

          Mark:
If davidcayjohnston were an honest journalist (BIG “if”), his answers to ALL your questions would have been “NO”.

      • Mike

What. Obama was not vetted neither was Mrs Clinton. HRC should already be indicted for the email server. General P and Scooter Libby were indicted for much less. Of course in this case Obama and his henchmen control the FBI and DOJ and it does not serve his purposes to indicate her Yet

    • Mario Aguilar

you see… not even concerned about the answers… how about we get Trump to answer these and then you can ask 21 questions to Hilary or Bernie…. As a informed voter, wouldn’t you want to know how he answers them

      • Mike

Why would Trump answer any of this. Hardly any is relevant or factual. HRC has committed felony obstruction of justice with the private email server by itself. To say nothing of the lie after lie she has told about the email server. Speaking of Obama and vetting..why did he seal his education records? and if the media was not assisting him why did they let him and say nothing?

        • Pongo

Funny, but the courts don’t agree with your expert legal opinion. Or have you not read any of the news articles for the past month? You’re probably one of the people demanding a Benghazi investigation, blissfully ignorant that there have already been more than half a dozen investigations, all of which failed to support any of the accusations made by right wing fringe lunatic bing-bongs like Issa.

      • Louis Allen

        Mario:
Why do you insist on making such an arsehole of yourself?

  • Mike Carpenter

Go ahead and vet Hillary Clinton in the same way. Or for that matter vet Barak Obama. No vetting has been done of Bernie, HRC or Martin O’Malley. Go for it.

    • dpaano

They won’t be vetted until they are actually nominated……

    • davidcayjohnston

      Writer of the piece here…

Hillary Clinton has been exhaustively vetted. So has Obama. And O’Malley has been somewhat vetted recently, mostly because of the role of his “zero tolerance” policies in the Baltimore riot. Sanders has a long and fully known record, including his highly regarded work as a mayor, which helps explain why so many conservatives in Vermont keep voting for him as a Representative and Senator.

      • Mike

Hillary Clinton has never been vetted. Obama was not vetted either. Hillary and Obama have been actively coddled and protected by you and many others in the MSM. A simple 21 question exercise with direct questions like the ones you propose for Trump have never been done in the MSM for Hillary or Obama. Sanders is a well known socialist lunatic with some extreme writings about women and other matters. (What conservatives in Vermont?) None of which have been posted or discussed in the main stream media. O’malle zero tolerance policies? What a joke. O’Malley was a very in effective governor.

        • You can’t be serious. Can you? Was the long form birth certificate not enough for you?

          • Mike

The long form BC is a well known forgery.

          • Scott

            …by conspiracy idiots.

          • Mike

            Education records sealed.

          • Mike

He also has a fake social security number. The number is from a person in CT that has been dead for 100 years.

          • Mark T

comradseitz: 99th percentile. At least that’s where I tested as a kid. Anyway I don’t have the time or inclination to search thru your me too posts. It’s a little insulting that no one other than Jonas has the ability to step up and actually launch effective responses to me. And even then I take JonasPlancks responses with a grain of salt. Xe’s a hardcore dungeons and dragons fantasy world type who has such poor social skills that xe lives xe-s life in front of the computer…it’s kind of sad that someone who did so well on xe’s TOEFL exam could end up so isolated from society. Xe sits and hides in fear of the big bad boogeyman Donald J Trump…in total fear of being torn from the SkyNet Lords of Evil imaginary world that xe hides in….and sent back to the lovely place xe fled from.

          • Now that I’ve drawn you out… did you respond to anything in my post? No. You just assumed something about me. Troll.

          • Mark T

            CONRADSEITZ:

This is in response to your weak argument that business are 100% to blame for illegal immigration.

That’s simply not true. Businesses, republican RHINOs, AND leftists/progressives/liberals/democrats are to blame. Even I can admit my side is part of the problem. But it’s not all of the problem.

Liberals/progressives see illegal immigrants as the new African American community…a group that procreates in much larger numbers than whites…and who votes en masse for democrats. In essence they see illegal Latinos as a demographic that they can mine for votes. They are turning our cities and towns into Latin American ghettos, where no one bothers to habla English…all so they can attempt to keep republicans from ever winning a presidential election again.

What’s amazing is that your liberal politicians have forsaken their former pet ethnic group, African Americans, who by the way they have held down for centuries with slavery, Jim Crow laws, affirmative action and welfare. Even though they are the lowest information voters in this country, it’s only a matter of time before the African American community wakes up to the fact that their own benefactors have abandoned them in favor of a new pet group….a group that is driving down wages and stealing all their jobs.

It was your president who increased border patrol so they could help welcome the surge of illegals and help them illegally cross over the border. It was your president who decreed that border patrol could no longer apprehend illegals. He broke the constitution and signed amnesty into effect. He’s even threatened to veto Kate’s law. Doesn’t look like the White House is anti illegal immigration to me comradseitz. Or take Rep Guitierrez. He’s a sitting congressman, and instructs illegals how to register to vote. He’s a leading member of a group dedicated to la reconquista. How are his actions not considered treasonous? He’s a liberal democrat too. It’s funny how amnesty came about….Obama had promised amnesty but hadn’t delivered, and Guitierrez started turning the screws. I think he threatened to instruct his illegals to vote republican in perpetuity if BS didn’t sign an EO ordering amnesty. How many times did we see the guy say he wasn’t a king….that he couldn’t make law. Yet that’s exactly what he did, and I think it’s because Guitierrez made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Every US citizen should be disgusted that liberals are trying to apply the Civil Rights Act to illegal immigrants. Let me makes this totally clear. WE OWE ILLEGALS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. ZERO. NADA. ZILCH. NOT ONE F!CKING DIME. On the other hand, because of the democrat institution of slavery in this country, and the democrat Jim Crow laws, we do owe the African Americans. But it doesn’t apply to illegals. They have NO RIGHTS here. Illegals come here illegally and expect us to bend over backwards for them. Illegal muslims demand sharia law. Latinos don’t integrate or bother to learn our language. They should be the ones who are grateful and should try to show us that they will become part of the melting pot and become Americans. But no. Like everyone else, they think they are owed by the US.

Unlike you comradseitz, I don’t really give a sh!t who is to blame at this point. The time for pointing fingers is long past. What’s important now is to get rid of the ones that illegally came into this country. Whether we have to mine the border – which we should have done years ago to combat drug traffickers – or build The Great Wall of Trump – it needs to be stopped now. I could care less I if my ideas trample the dreams of JonasPlanck of nullifying the racist and hateful Treaty of Guadeloupe Hidalgo…We won. They lost. They think they are winning again. But they are wrong.

        • Chicago Ed

What reality are you living in, Mike? Of the top of my head, I can think of seven investigations involving the Clintons: Whitewater, David Foster, Travel-gate, Benghazi, Clinton Foundation donations, Monica Lewinsky (though more Bill than HIllary) and now the email BS. How much more vetting do you want? Note: Vetting results that conflict with your political viewpoint still count as vetting.

          • Mike

Bill Clinton was investigated not vetted. HRC has also been investigated not vetted. In both cases the MSM stood by and defended the Clinton’s and attacked the GOP or the investigator.

          • Ian Osmond

What’s the difference between “investigated” and “vetted”?

          • Mike

Bill Clinton was investigated by Congress and others after he came into office when the issues became so egregious not before. Had Whitewater and the Bimbo eruptions been highlighted and followed up on by the MSM as they would have with any GOP candidate he would not have won the primary. As it was the only way Clinton wins in 92 is Ross Perot. The MSM is not vetting or investigating HRC for Benghazi and the email crap. The internet media and Trey Gowdy are. The MSM and many others are obfuscating and covering up for her. Any one of us with the email situation would already be in jail for contempt of court if nothing else.

          • Ian Osmond

What’s the difference between “investigated” and “vetted”?

          • Mike

Vetting a candidate is done before elections. Please observe how each GOP candidate is questioned and various stories are floated and statements are repeated..similar to what Trump is experiencing.. Investigations are done by law enforcement and or Congress after the election observe Bill Clinton and Barak Obama. Compare the treatment in the MSM and DOJ of David Petreaus and HRC. All Petreaus did was share his calendar. Compare the 21 questions above to the questions HRC is asked. HRC has lied repeatedly about the email server has anyone in theMSM even pointed out that she lied? No they just print or repeat her next statement. HAs anyone in the MSM asked Obama where he was the night of the Benghazi event? If so he has not answered why have they let it slide? Why does the MSM repeat and state the President said blah blah blah about the Iran deal..good bad whatever. no side deals.. then there are side deals.. Anyone in MSM ask the president why he lied about the side deals? Anyway I digress. You clearly do not want to know or already do know what vetting vs investigation is when used in this case.

          • Ian Osmond

I didn’t know how you were using it, until you answered the question. As I use them, they’re synonyms, which is why I asked. If I knew the answer, why would I have asked the question? If I didn’t WANT to know the answer, why would I have asked the question? That would be just dumb, and just wasting both of our time.

          • Mike

I wrote twice what it meant. You are a liberal sycophant.

          • Mike

All the Clinton investigations were after they came into office. Their shenanagins, corruption, lying etc were well known in Arkansas and by the MSM during the primary and election process. Any GOP candidate with Clinton’s record would have been hounded off the stage.

        • Mario Aguilar

        Journalist davidcayjohnston:

I recently asked you to find the answers to a long list of questions that I (and half the country) have about BHO.

Until the questions on that list have been answered, he hasn’t been vetted properly.

PS: Journalist davidcayjohnston, earlier I saw you trying to scrounge up some leads for a story in Wisconsin. I wanted to ask you if you’re a journalist in the Walter Kronkite mold, or are you an editorialist like Don Lemon? If you’re the former, then I advise you to take an impartial position and do some research and answer the questions on my list. If you are successful, it could make your career. However, if you’re more like Don Lemon, then I encourage you to continue trying to dig up dirt on someone like Scott Walker….I mean he isn’t even close to double digits..but it might earn you a badge of courage from your compatriots.

      • Mike

HRC has been laughably vetted.. Obama was never vetted. Still has not been.

      • Louis Allen

        davidcay:
“Hillary Clinton has been exhaustively vetted. So has Obama.”
        WHHAAATTT??!!
Obvious that, to you, down is up, bad is good, and false is true.

        • davidcayjohnston

          Writer here….

You can like or dislike Mrs. Clinton for all sorts of reasons, but it is factually false — and laughably so — to assert that she has not been thoroughly vetted. She has been more thoroughly vetted than anyone else running for president in the last several decades. Obama has also been thoroughly vetted.

Obviously, Louis Allen, you have not been reading much or else not paying attention or you would not write such provable nonsense.

Want HRC’s tax returns? All available back to the early 1980s. Her unbelievably successful string of commodity trades, unmatched by anyone else especially any novice trader? All available along with who guided her. Her financial disclosures? All online for her Senate and State years and her husband’s White House years. Even some of her college papers are available, which is why we know she studied Alinsky strategies.

She has been the subject of a large number of books by critics, friends and neutral reporters who have mined every aspect of her life. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_books_by_or_about_Hillary_Rodham_Clinton

She has been the subject of several Congressional inquiries, which have come up with nothing. (Think about the emails issue. My former newspaper wrongly said she was the subject of a criminal inquiry and made other errors, which it has since corrected.

HRC had approval to use her private server, it was no secret to anyone who got an email from her and the law that would not allow that today was enacted after she left office. Our Constitution prohibits ex-post facto laws as well as bills of attainder, but common sense should tell you that if it was legal and approved it was legal and approved.

I take more than 40 magazines from National Review to The Nation and five newspapers and buy dozens of nonfiction books each year because I wanted a rounded understanding of issues and how they are being written about.

But if you only read publications that feed your POV or watch Fox, which has a rich and thoroughly documented
history of not just being wrong on the facts but of making stuff up then, naturally, you would think neither HRC or Obama has been vetted. They have been and abundant empirical facts show that.

          • Mark T

This is to the writer of the piece, davidcayjohnston:

While I appreciate that you answer comments to your articles (you’re the only writer I know who does), the fact remains that B Hussein Obama was not vetted.

In a previous post I made a list of 8 or 10 questions that many people still to this day have about our leader.

While you respond to most people’s posts, you stopped responding to mine, and it would be nice if you could answer those questions to the best of your ability.

I only wish that the population had been given access to the answers to those questions prior to 2008.

Your lack of professional integrity and intellectual honesty is evidenced by the fact that you claim in your posts here that
[Hillary] “…. has been more thoroughly vetted than anyone else running for president in the last several decades.” That could conceivably be accepted as a fact if we added the words “… and discredited”. But (BIG BUT) immediately after that, you proceed to seamlessly (and shamelessly), utilize your just stated premise to reach the following WHOPPER corollary:
“Obama has also been thoroughly vetted.”

Saying that Obama was, or is now (way belatedly) being “thoroughly vetted” constitutes an OBSCENE, shameless and indecent LIE that hides the FACT that Obama has way MORE TO EXPLAIN than what could conceivably be revealed in Trump’s answers to your 21 (obviously biased and with an
            agenda) “questions”.

Mr. Johnston, your intellectual dishonesty and your crude attempts to reach false conclusions from “iffy” (at best)

            Columnist here…

Evidently, Louis Allen, you do not understand what the verb “vet” means nor the basics of journalism.

What you evidently want is to discredit people whose policies you dislike. That is not vetting.

Vet, the verb, means “to make a careful and critical examination”

There were 32 critical books in the list I provided. Now you may believe that every one of the authors of those books, all prominent critics of Mrs. Clinton, failed, but they
certainly vetted her. If you think the 32 are all incompetents or failed then you should say so — and take it up with them.

Likewise, President Obama has been the subject of exhaustive inquiries — that is, he has been thoroughly vetted. His place of birth, parentage, successful marriage, selection for the most prestigious law student position in America, his teaching Constitutional law at one of our best law schools and other facts are all well established from an extensive public record that competent critics have critically examined, but have not produced a scintilla of actual evidence that anything is amiss. We also know that he wrote his own books, unlike most politicians who retain professionals (including Hillary Clinton, as she acknowledged). The writing shows a smart, nuanced mind nd a felicitous writing style, but of course you have had to at least read a chapter or two to know that.

Your assertion that Mrs. Clinton has not been vetted has exactly zero basis, as I showed with facts.

A careful reader will note that I have expressed zero opinion about Mrs. Clinton herself, but merely observed that she has been vetted, which is what the facts show. I did express a clear opinion on Mr. Obama. BTW, do you know who the first national journalist was to sharply criticize his administration in what turned out to be a spot-on dissection of a policy problem published just nine days after his inauguration? http://bit.ly/1bVnt9g

You also seem not to grasp that NationalMemo is not a news organization, but a commentary website. My work
is clearly labeled as opinion. The columns I write here are what are known in the trade as reported columns. I pick the topics and except for copy editing the words under my byline are mine — and I am proud of every one of them.

Perhaps studying some basic journalism texts would help you. In some of them you will see my work cited as well as distillations of my advice — delivered in numerous public lectures around the world — on reporting technique and ethics.

If you can show any actual error of fact it will be corrected forthrightly and promptly.

          • Louis Allen

            david:
Your lack of integrity shows more than ever:

            1) I know, of course, what “vet” means. And yet, any “reported (actually aborted) column” “journalist” who claims that Obama has been vetted, without making even a passing reference to all of his shady and suspicious background and glaringly MISSING information, is, at best, a mediocre journalist, and, at worst, an intellectually, morally and professionally dishonest HACK.

            2) In your fanaticism, you state that: “Your assertion that Mrs. Clinton has not been vetted has exactly zero basis, as I showed with facts.” This assertion is baseless. I did not say that. I said that about your “boss” Obama. You again try to “twist” the discussion so that your lack of integrity doesn’t appear so obvious.

            3) Your intellectual and professional dishonesty is again manifested when you create the illusion of objectivity towards Obama by saying that “do you know who the first national journalist was to sharply criticize his administration in what turned out to be a spot-on dissection of a policy problem published just nine days after his inauguration? http://bit.ly/1bVnt9g“.

Contrary to other posters here, I did read your completely innocuous “article” in which you blandly criticize NOT OBAMA, but his White House Press Office during the beginning days of his administration.
David, how do you dare cite that little, harmless and innocuous piece of “offended journalism” as being “SHARPLY” critical of Obama’s Administration?
Shows your lack of respect towards your readers.

            4) Do your “reporting technique and ethics” include claiming that Obama was properly vetted by informing us of his “…selection for the most prestigious law student position in America,” WITHOUT mentioning that his application to Harvard and his Harvard records were literally SEALED by him??

            5) Do your “reporting technique and ethics” include (correctly) claiming that Obama taught “…. Constitutional law at one of our best law schools…” WITHOUT mentioning the inconvenient FACT that he has disrespected and blatantly IGNORED that very same Constitution he swore to defend??

David, again, your dishonesty stands bare for everybody to see. You are just another Obama un-conditional.

            Shame, shame on you.

Mr. Cay Johnston, do enjoy your life in the fantasy world you inhabit where whatever you assert, even with limited, partial, and contradictory “proof”, must be so and whoever disagrees with you must be wrong.

May you come to realize that the “power of the pen” comes with certain pre-ordained responsibilities.

May you come to realize that the “power of the mind” should be directed to seek and expose the truth, the WHOLE truth, wherever that leads you.

May you come to realize that life is not all white or black; that it is your duty to find in each and every instance the “shade” of gray where “the truth” is positioned, and that such “shade of gray” will not reveal itself to you until you explore, find, and expose the WHOLE TRUTH.

May you come to realize that an honest journalist, one “worth his salt”, bears a DOUBLE burden: to pursue/investigate/find/expose/divulge the WHOLE truth, AND to disseminate this truth to the masses, which, by definition of the word “masses”, do not possess the level of education, “smarts” and/or sophistication that has been conferred on him or her.

Finally, may you realize that the undersigned, though possessing a set of values diametrically opposed to yours, wishes you the best.

            Writer of the piece, davidcayjohnston:

You know that Hillary isn’t what we are arguing with you about.

We are talking about BHO, and why he was not veted whatsoever. In fact, when anyone tried to bring up their questions, liberal/progressives acted like Pavlovs Dogs and accused them of racism, bigotry, and even made up new names for them, like Birthers.

CNN just reported TODAY that 29% of Americans believe he is a muslim. Clearly, if he were properly veted, close to 1/3 of Americans would not still have these questions. The only evidence you gave me was that John McCain said he wasn’t…which besides being an extremely weak rebuttal, it’s moot because he was also adamant that he didn’t want to bring up his race, origin or religion during the campaign.

He WAS NOT vetted and you would admit it if you were intellectually honest.

Let’s not forget that there’s a very good reason why he wasn’t vetted to the same level as a republican candidate: the media is run by liberals like you, and you were collectively salivating that a true progressive could undo the 225 years of sins caused be white led America. The liberal press bent over backwards to get him elected, not once, but twice. This cannot be disputed. The LA Times even refused to release a video where he talked about his muslim faith.

The liberal run media dropped the ball. This country deserved to know without a doubt, only 7 years after 9-11, whether he was muslim or not. I personally think the truth probably would have changed the results of the elections.

          • davidcayjohnston

            Columnist here…

Well, let’s look at this from your POV, Mark T.

So arguendo — that is, for the sake of the argument –let’s assume you are right and what you imagine as the “liberal” news media failed to vet Obama. That is provable nonsense, but for the sake of the argument…

So what of Murdoch’s vast, well-funded news operations — Fox, The Wall Street Journal, and the NYPost, as well as his Australian and British newspapers?

What of the Republican party? Or GOP funders? What of Donald Trump? Trump says he says he sent professional researchers — he said they were very expert — to Hawaii to investigate Obama’s birth.

For what you wrote to have ANY basis in fact you must be asserting that none of these organizations made a critical inquiry into Obama’s past. But they did (with the possible exception of Trump, a man who has admitted under oath he lacks fidelity to facts). So Obama was in fact vetted.

The facts show that a lot of claims have been made about Obama, but no one has produced any actual evidence of these claims, such as that he was born in Kenya or was a practicing Muslim or anything else. (Also, see our Constitution at Article VI.)

There are the comments by a grandmother who claims she witnessed Obama’s birth in Kenya (a country Obama first saw as an adult). If you believe that is dispositive I guess you never heard of someone in a poor country (or even our country) making up a story to make themselves seem more important….Really are you that gullible?

It is neither logical, no rational, to assert that no one with resources checked him out. Have you read any of the critical books on Obama? Do you see any actual evidence showing he is anything but who and what he says he is? I see lots of assertions, but no verifiable facts.

Reporters have interviewed women he dated or just knew in college and law school, as well as classmates from his childhood. One book even includes reporting on his love letters to girlfriends in his 20s. His attendance at schools in Indonesia when he was very small and in Hawaii from age 10 (fifth grade) on are well documented. (Janny Scott’s book is rich with details about his grammar school days in Indonesia, a good example of vetting by some you might regard as a liberal reporter, though I consider her as straight and solid as they come.)

His birth was promptly reported by competing newspapers which got their information from routine reports released by the Honolulu hospital where he as born.

He taught Constitutional law for 12 years at one of the best law schools in the country and some of his students have been interviewed about his skill as a teacher.

He certainly met Bill Ayers and worked with him on school reform — through a well-known mainstream
private foundation that was no secret. But again, so what. I have spent long hours of my life with a crooked cops (and with honest cops whose careers I helped save), drug dealers, revolutionaries, and even a hit man. So what?

Like Louis Allen you confuse “vet” with your desire to have Obama discredited.

But if there were any actual discrediting material don’t you think Murdoch’s people would have reported it? Or do you think Murdoch, Fox and the WSJ are also part of some imagined refusal to investigate Obama?

What of Trump? If Trump actually had anything on Obama why would he not produce it? (Of course this assumes Trump actually sent investigators to Hawaii. On that, I have seen zero evidence.)

And then there are the people who detest Obama and have vast fortunes to finance inquiries into him — Sheldon Adelson, Foster Freiss, etc. If they had anything do you think they would hold back? Why? And if in fact all these opponents of Obama have stuff but are not putting it out there what does that tell you about their integrity?

If you actually have any facts (not innuendo) discrediting Obama then produce it. We should know about it – and by your own standard you should not hide any facts you may have.

So you got any verifiable facts?

          • Mark T

            Reporter davidcayjohnston:

I’ll say it again. I appreciate you responding to posts here.

I think the words of our leader are evidence enough to prove what 29% of Americans believe.

            – “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam”

            – “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

            – “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer”

            – “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country.”

            – “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance”

            – “Islam has always been a part of America”

            – “America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”

            – “Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism – it is an important part of promoting peace.”

            – “So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed”

            – “Throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.”

            – “The Holy Koran tells us, ‘O mankind! We have created you male and a female; and we have made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another.’”

            – “That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”

Now I’m not going to go into all the anti Christian quotes that he’s made, but there are quite a few. I can’t imagine ANY Christian making any of those quotes. So he’s one of two things: either an atheist or a Muslim. I know which one I think he is.

I don’t know if people like Sheldon Adelson had him investigated or not. Maybe that’s something you, as a journalist, should look into.

Rupert Murdoch, while owning NewsCorp, isn’t the arch conservative that you obviously believe him to be. Hes a globalist!! He’s definitely not a member of the John Birch Society, that’s for sure. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he supported Obama financially, because unbridled legal and illegal immigration to the US furthers his globalist aims.

          • davidcayjohnston

            Columnist here…(not reporter)

I’ll bet the quotes below from the president will really upset
you, especially describing the prophet Mohammed as a “sober inquirer after truth.”

            — “There are thousands of Muslims who proudly call themselves Americans, and they know what I know — that the Muslim faith is based upon peace and love and compassion.”

            — “Ours is a war not against a religion, not against the Muslim faith. But ours is a war against individuals who absolutely hate what America stands for.”

            — “The terrorists are traitors to their own faith, trying, in
            effect, to hijack Islam itself.”

By the way, none of those come from Obama. The first is from President John Adams, the rest from President George W. Bush.

Some of the remarks you attribute to Obama are flat out untrue, others are taken wildly out of context and some are statements of fact with which any human being should agree (“Islam has always been a part of America”) because
they are mere statements of fact. As for that last quote, Muslims have served in the American military since the Battle
of Concord and the first nation to recognize the United States was Morocco, a Muslim country.

See snopes.com for a superb example for a quote you cite that is taken out of context. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslimfaith.asp

And then consider this. I got the email that attributed to Obama a quote you use above: “I will stand
with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly
            direction.”

Now let’s see, in context, what he actually wrote. At Page 261 of Obama’s 2006 book The Audacity of Hope, he wrote about the imprisonment of Japanese-Americans,
including native-born Americans, during World War II (Italians and Germans were not rounded up) as follows:

            * * * * * * * * * *

In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and
belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons
from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.
            * * * * * * * * *

Obama was clearly indicating he would
oppose any effort to round people up as happened in WW2.
I hope that you would endorse that as well. Obama was expressing fundamental ideals of our Constitution and our nation – and, of course, our government has formally apologized and made partial recompense for its wrongdoing against Japanese-Americans.

Here is another quote, in this case taken out of context by you:

“We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world–including in my own country.”

I don’t have any problem with that quote and cannot fathom any rational reason you or anyone else would, either. It is a statement of fact. It is accurate.

But let’s look at the quote in context – in this case ensuring Turkey will continue to help us militarily at a time when popular opposition to American involvement
was rising in that country. The remarks were made during
Obama’s first overseas trip where he spoke in April 2009 to the Turkish parliament. He makes a passing reference to the roughly 33 months he lived in Indonesia between the ages of six and ten:

            * * * * * * *
Turkey has been a true partner. Your troops were among the first in the International Security Assistance Force. You have sacrificed much in this endeavor. Now we must achieve our goals together. I appreciate that you’ve offered to help us train and support Afghan security forces, and expand opportunity across the region. Together, we can rise to meet this challenge like we have so many before.

I know there have been difficulties these last few years. I know
that the trust that binds the United States and Turkey has been strained, and I know that strain is shared in many places where the Muslim faith is practiced.

So let me say this as clearly as I can: The United States is
not, and will never be, at war with Islam. (Applause.)

In fact, our partnership with the Muslim world is critical not
just in rolling back the violent ideologies that people of all faiths reject, but also to strengthen opportunity for all its people.

I also want to be clear that America’s relationship with the
Muslim community, the Muslim world, cannot, and will not, just be based upon opposition to terrorism.

We seek broader engagement based on mutual interest and mutual respect. We will listen carefully, we will bridge misunderstandings, and we will seek common ground.

We will be respectful, even when we do not agree.

We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith,
which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world — including in my own country. The United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their families or have lived in a Muslim-majority country — I know, because I am one of them. (Applause.)

Above all, above all we will demonstrate through actions our
commitment to a better future. I want to help more children get the education that they need to succeed. We want to promote health care in places where people are vulnerable. We want to expand the trade and investment that can bring prosperity for all people. In the months ahead, I will present specific programs to advance these goals.

Our focus will be on what we can do, in partnership with people across the Muslim world, to advance our common hopes and our common dreams. And when people look back on this time, let it be said of America that we extended the hand of friendship to all people.

There’s an old Turkish proverb: “You cannot put out fire
with flames.” America knows this. Turkey knows this.

There’s some who must be met by force — they will not
compromise. But force alone cannot solve our problems, and it is no alternative to extremism. The future must belong to those who create, not those who destroy. That is the future we must work for, and we must work for it together.

            https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/remarks-president-obama-turkish-parliament

            * * * * * *

Nothing in those comments, in context, should trouble you and a great deal of it should comfort you to know that we have a President who wants to maintain strong ties with our allies, especially Turkey, a country that like the United States has a secular government.

Finally, my point was and is that in fact Obama, and Mrs., Clinton, have been thoroughly examined. But if you have actual facts – verifiable in context facts – that are not in the public record you should bring them forth. Your words indicate you do not have any, just your animus, which your own words show is based on false premises.

          • notfamous

To conservatives, the verb “to vet” means “to disparage” or “trash.”

This is why they believe that no one ever vets Democrats.

Comments are funny. An article about Trump and so many comments complaining about no article about others. Maybe he has or will write one? This one is about Trump. I did not know that if you write about one person you had to write about all of them. One topic at a time. Do any of you have time for a vetting of ALL of them from both parties right now? Wait for the book. If he does will you read it? Go for it ! Give em what they want . LOL

          • Jonas Planck

So you police thoughts now. You are an officer of the thought police, rooting out forbidden thoughts and prosecuting them.

Something they obviously didn’t tell you during your indoctrination is that YOU CAN’T KILL IDEAS. You can kill the people who have those ideas, but that only makes the ideas stronger. To fight ideas, you need BETTER IDEAS, which is something you clearly do not have.

You have already lost your little war, and you don’t even realize it. You see, in the school of LIFE, I have discovered that there are some very sick behaviors out there, and people like you use ideas as excuses for that sick behavior. I used to feel sorry for you, as I should, but I have a limited amount of patience, and I am not wasting any more time on lost causes. You’ll figure it out, or it’ll kill you. Either way, it’s out of my hands now.

You’re still grasping at straws, but maybe someday you might accidentally strike the root, and you’ll finally realize how badly you’ve been played for a sucker.

          • Pongo

You use a large number of words to say nothing at all. Have you considered politics?

          • Jonas Planck

Have you considered that the fact you can’t understand words does not mean that words have no meaning?

          • Pongo

I understand words, and I understand when people are using them to obfuscate, rather than convey, meaning. When weasels speak weasel speech, I know they are attempting to avoid saying what they really intend, so that later they may switch their position without anyone being the wiser, given that they said nothing to begin with.

Everybody is vulnerable to exploitation, most often by being vulnerable to an agreeable sentiment. It is those things that we find most compelling which we must be most guarded against, for it is those against which we have least defense.

But I don’t consider my ability to recognize nonsense gibberish attempting to pass itself off as wisdom making me exceptionally vulnerable to exploitation.

        • Lee

You realize the moment you use the phrase “kool-aid” you invalidate your entire post by making you look like a fringe lunatic.

            A-HAH! GOTCHA!

Yes, Mark, because the ONLY reason anyone ever engages in conversation is to hurt other people’s feelings. That’s the ONLY reason communication exists. Nothing else. No other purpose.

you see, when the have no facts, they result to name calling and insults..

        • Lee

Here, ladies and gentlemen, we see a republican scared and frightened that their party’s own actions are being turned around and aimed at themselves…hypothetically. Can’t even wrestle with the idea, let alone having it actually happen.

          Quite revealing, eh?

        • Mark T

What are you, a bot? Omg im sorry…can’t believe I said that…..have I been assimilated? Has my faulty code been rewritten? Did I take the red pill by mistake? SkyNet won!

        Mark:
Funny how several half-brain libturds P O S like dpaano and JPHALL have given your comment “thumbs-up” with NO CLUE as to what you mean with “same level that Obama was.”
        What complete idiots ….

        • Mark T

          Louis,

That’s hilarious! I hadn’t noticed the thumbs up votes!

Libturds is too nice. At times it was like trying to explain to a group of North Koreans that their country isnt the center of the solar system. The brainwashing is strong in these people.

        • Mark T

          Hi Louis,

I just read your response about how davidcayjohnston refuses to answer those questions about B Hussein Obama.

Yeah it’s sad but to be expected. It’s really water under the bridge at this point. I guess the people that voted for him both times believed that he went to Rev Wrights “Church of God Damn America”. But for me, I think this country was owed something more only 7 years after 9-11….I’m convinced that he never would have been elected had the general public been informed by the media that he was either muslim now or had practiced it at some point. Too bad we will never know.

          • davidcayjohnston

            Columnist here…

I haven’t refused to answer any questions, Mark T. But let’s deal with your assertions.

Have you ever read Article VI of our Constitution? Even if President Obama is or was a Muslim, so what?

Despite exhaustive inquiries by his critics, no one has found a shred of evidence that Mr. Obama is or ever was a Muslim. On the other hand you might want to watch the entire video of President Obama’s remarks at Mother Emmanual Church after the massacre, which demonstrate at a minimum a deep understanding of the message of the New Testament and the culture of the black church in America.

And what of the pastor of the church that the Obamas attended for years made a statement you disapprove of? Again, so what? Would you hold every Catholic to the statements of every Pope?

Voters, in fact, knew about Rev. Wright’s inflammatory language before they voted in 2008 as it was all over the news — broadcast, cable and print. But Rev. Wright was not on the ballot.

          • Mark T

            Columnist davidcayjohnston:

As I’ve told you before, I’m well aware Article VI and that a person of any religion can hold the office of the president. That’s not what I’m talking about.

I’m talking abou the publics perception of him possibly being a muslim…and am hypothesizing that the results of the election may have been different had the liberal run press done their jobs and investigated whether or not he is really a muslim. It was only 7 years after 911. As a country we deserved to know who we were really voting into office. Heck, even if 911 hadn’t happened, we deserved to know. Of course, we will never know at this point in time.

Yes, he sang Amazing Grace in South Carolina. I’m not aware of him quoting the New Testament, but neither of those things prove anything. For all we know he learned it on Air Force One on the way down. And do we know if there was a TelePrompTer in front of the altar? As you know, he never leaves home without one.

Chances are, this knowledge wouldn’t have made much difference, considering how many low information voters cast their votes for skin color over competency.

But that does not change the fact that he should have been properly vetted but was not.

  • pmbalele

What are Repubs and TPs saying now -Trump has crossed the line when he mused that Kelly was menstruating during the debate. Well, she should have not asked the question whether Trump calls women names. Kelly should have known that Repubs and TPs think women as 2nd class. Look they did not invite the woman from Florida in the debate. And people should remember that FoxNews hires trashy people: liar -like Sean Hannity, women abusers like Bill O’rielly, shop-lifters like Kelly, womanizers such as Gov. Sanford, Newt. In fact the present GOP line up are racists, bigots, corrupt, workers abusers like the small guy in the picture -Walker. At least Trump says the truth what TPs and Repubs stands for people. As a whole Repubs and TPs are causes of ills in this Country. Please join me to vote for Hillary or Biden in November next year.

If Clinton had used government computer and server for private business that would have been an issue. Clinton used her personal computer or internet for government work. The government is going to pay her $4 mi for the service the government got from her server. Are you going to cry now!

Interesting stuff and way to volatile to keep in the closet or under a rug. Sounds like Rawmoney’s tax returns were very small potatoes in comparison. Maybe all our presidents have dealt with felon’s of one type or another over the course of their political careers but they are generally of a financial bent.

Who the hell cares! New York is a survivors city, everyone knows it. Research Hilary Clinton, see her MOB related dealings, why don’t you? Including multiple murders all tied to her name. Trump is a ‘baby’ compared to her dealings. Now go pick on someone else, or do something worthwhile for yourself and family. Life is short.

“Like all developers, my father and I contributed money to Beame, and to other politicians. The simple fact is that contributing money to politicians is very standard and accepted for a New York City developer. We didn’t give any more money to Beame than a lot of other developers did. In fact, it often seemed to me that, perhaps because we knew Beame personally, he almost went out of his way to avoid any appearance that he was doing us any special favors. …. I spent most of the four years when Beame was mayor trying to promote the West 34th Street site for a convention center. … Still, Beame never came out in support of the site until a few weeks before he left office, nor did he give it his official approval. It was Ed Koch, newly elected in 1978, who finally chose our site for the convention center. No one, so far as I know, has ever suggested that Donald Trump and Ed Koch are close personal friends.” -Donald Trump, The Art of the Deal

Oh, Puleeze…put those 2 together on the Republican ticket! Hahahahahaha!

    • Noah Dillon

Uh… No chicken will ever hatch from the eggs you eat for breakfast. They’re not fertilized with sperm. Most economic transactions don’t involve mobsters. I don’t know how you could spin away that kind of problem. I don’t know why you’d ignore something like that if you’re concerned about corruption in government. That doesn’t mean the Bushes or Clinton’s or anyone else is better. But it’s still a problem. And it doesn’t really matter who writes this story: it’s all public record. FOX could report on it, so could Storm Trooper Daily, the NY Daily News, NPR, USA Today, whoever. It doesn’t change the facts about what he’s said, what he’s done, which illegal immigrants he hired to fill holes for $5/hour, which mobsters and drug dealers he hangs out with, etc.

By the way: what he’s actually proposing for immigration is similar to digging holes and filling them back in. He wants to deport everyone, then fast track many of them for repatriation. So you end up with the same immigrants coming back and taking jobs, with the added bonus of a large expense for kicking them out and another large expense for processing them back in. And you end up with the same result that both the Republicans and Democrats have already agreed on. How this is better than the cheaper, equally effective option is unclear. How he would exterminate ISIS is totally unknown, especially since he doesn’t seem to know anything about the region. So I guess he might as well be from Mars. He didn’t seem to know how things work on planet Earth.

    Announcement:

I have driven kip Kinkle off this thread. I win. He loses. Period.

Comradseitz: you have no idea what books I’ve read. And you accuse me of making assumptions.

By the way what’s your definition of a troll? Someone who isn’t a progressive leftist? Or someone who disagrees with you?

Quick comment here: If you were not collectively worried that Donald J Trump was going to be elected, you wouldn’t be responding to this thread 2 months after the article was written by journalist davidcayjohnston. When Trump wiped the floor with Jorge Ramos in Iowa last week….when he dismissed Ramos like a teacher would dismiss a poorly behaved student, I realized how scared you all are…you, Jorge, every other La Raza loving traitor to the US. The good old days of BHO are coming to an end. Hillarys promise of bringing entire extended family trees over to join anchor babies isn’t going to happen. Instead the boogeyman is coming and you’re scared to death. I notice no one here believes that Donald J Trump is running to destroy the republicans…that’s just a theory put forth by Jeb Bush because he’s getting destroyed.

As for all the accusations that fly around here of people being bots….it just makes me laugh. You people live in a SkyNet/Matrix fantasy world….where you dream of the terminator coming to get you….and the terminator is Donald J Trump lol. I’d say it’s sad but I guess there are pathetic weak minded people out there that fall for public school indoctrination too. People who have been brainwashed that the founding fathers raped and pillaged. The US history that is being indoctrinated into students today isn’t real US history. It’s revisionist history….no different than Afrocentrist history that makes false claims like the sub Saharan Africana invented the wheel….or electricity….or here’s a popular Afrocentrist belief….that the Egyptians who built the great pyramids were sub Saharan Africans. Revisionist history is just make believe. But since in your view we all live in a giant computer simulation, controlled by subroutine, and we are all bots…I guess life is make believe.

I’m going to go download some more of kips dark fantasy art. He’s either drawn or photoshopped a bunch of armored skeletons standing on what looks like the Death Star. He also has one of a ball of light….which represents a bot….and then another where the ball is fuzzy…and it represents an AI destroying the bot. Good luck trying to get that hung in the Met, Kip.

Finally, I am going on long vacation and will not always have access to the net. While I am gone I will not be wasting my time responding to your childish comebacks. However, I haven’t decided whether I will respond to future articles. I probably won’t – as much as kip lives in a fantasy world, at least he is intelligent and was able to put up a decent fight. I haven’t enjoyed this place as much since I defeated kip in battle. I’m hoping the Matrix will spawn a new AI that will be uploaded into a new skeleton armored bot….but I’m not holding my breath.

Question 22. What are people for?

  • texianfortruth

You’re comparing potential skeletons in the closet for Trump with veritable graveyards in the closet for the likes of Bush, Clinton, Boehner, McConnell, Pelosi, Obama, and the rest. Politicians from both parties have been selling out American citizens for decades. Who among the political class has the integrity to raise the point that only 698,000 native born Americans have gotten new jobs since 2007 vs 2.1 million foreigners on visas? That not only all illegals have to be deported but that at a time of unprecedented economic pain only job creators (high net worth individuals) and not job takers (employees, regardless of how well educated) should be allowed to immigrate? Trump is saying these things, which is a good sight more than any of the others seeking the White House (supposed outsiders like Carson and Fiorina included).

    • kikojones

Donald Trump is a bumper sticker candidate. Talking about issues and offering up coherent solutions are not the same thing. Sure, let’s deport all the illegals. There’s 10 million+ of them and the most we’ve able to deport in a given year is 250,000. A pace, btw, which would take 40 years to deport 10 million people. Unless, we build a HUGE bureaucracy to handle deportations. But where will all those resources come from? And aren’t Republicans all about REDUCING government instead enlarging it?
But Trump doesn’t get into specifics about how he’s going to take care of things. In this particular case, it seems that “Let’s deport the illegals and make America great again!” are enough for his followers. Who cares about pesky details, anyway? Trump is a ‘big picture’ guy, right?

      • Mark T

First of all, we haven’t really tried to stop the illegals since Ike’s Operation Wetback in the 1950s.

We already have a huge bureaucracy that can handle the illegals – DHS.

Resources? We can’t afford not to do this. If we knew for a fact that the Chinese were preparing to invade our country, no one would be crying about resources, they would be demanding action. Same thing applies here. It’s unfortunate we have to do it, but if the Hungarians and Czech’s can build hundreds of kilometers of fences to protect their countries from illegal invaders, then why can’t we do the same?

And you’re making a huge mistake thinking he’s a bumper sticker candidate. Everyone that knows the guy says he’s one of the smartest people they know. He’s a can do type of person….he solves problems. Maybe he will implode. Maybe not. It could happen at this weeks debate. If he repeats the same things as he did last time he could implode. But every time I’ve seen and heard him lately he’s sounded more nuanced, more like a serious candidate. We will see.

        • kikojones

You really think DHS can handle the deportation of 10 million people in an effective and timely manner? Also, are you comparing a war-type invasion to immigrants looking for work? A wave of immigration, btw, that has DECLINED in numbers over the last 20 years. (Don’t take my word for it, look up the numbers on your own.)
Trump is a bumper sticker candidate because he has not offered ONE solution to ANY major issue as of yet. “We’re gonna do it and make America great again!” is not a plan, it’s a slogan for a campaign sticker, and that’s exactly what he’s been offering people. Yes, he’s a smart guy but building skyscrapers and golf courses is not running a country, not even a city, so…

    • Gregory Hinton

      drivel.

    • Mark T

      Great post.

Ben Carson is for amnesty. He doesn’t talk about it much, but he thinks it’s not feasible to deport all the illegals. It’s too hard. What happened to Americas can do attitude? Why is everything so hard? I’m so sick of the liberal thought police making these proclamations that we can’t do something because it’s too hard. Of course we can do it. Thank God that JFK didn’t listen to these cant do people and instead challenged the country to put a man on the moon in 10 years.

    • davidcayjohnston

      Columnist here…

In the last 66 month we have added more than 13 million jobs, not the nonsense figures “texianfortruth” wrote.

Through August we have had 66 months of private sector job growth — a record.

In addition the number of people in the U.S. illegally has fallen. The net out-migration is well documented. Although deportations have slowed in recent months, deportations are at a record level under Obama. On a per month basis (because his second term has not yet ended) under Obama the US is deporting many more people than his predecessor and more than three times as many people pe rmonth as Clinton.

      • Patrick Joseph

I gotta say you don’t write a very objective article for someone claiming to be a journalist. And what does this have to do with Obama whom you seem to be trying very hard to defend. Here’s something you would know if you did a shred of research. Nothing…. NOTHING gets built in NYC without the mafia having a hand in it. Be it unions, permits or yes… even concrete. It doesn’t get done without greasing palms and doing business with the mafia. It’s called part of doing business in NYC… and especially in the pre-Giuliani days when the mafia ran rampant in NYC.

        • davidcayjohnston

          Columnist here…

I am not a reporter, Patrick Joseph. I write a clearly labeled opinion column just like George Will, Kathleen Parker, Paul Krugman, etc.

            Care to elaborate?
Are you suggesting I am not a columnist? Or that my piece is not clearly labeled as opinion? (This is, after all, an opinion website). Or that Trump had no choice but to employ a mob-owned firm even though so many others build in Manhattan without doing so — (and get better deals, too)?

If you can show any factual error in my column above, published more than two months ago, it will be corrected forthrightly and promptly.

        Hey Columnist …

Take a drive out to Northern NJ 20 miles from Manhattan. Take a look at the commercial property out here. Look at the strip malls which never had vacancies until ten years ago. Look around the industrial parks and check out all those For Sale and For Lease signs. While you’re driving around look at the huge empty or nearly empty parking lots. This isn’t Neverland.

  • Zhu Bajie

People want to believe the lies he tells.

  • Patrick Joseph

Trump openly admitted in that Fox debate to bribing people, paying politicians (some on the stage with him) and yes… getting advantages only the ultra rich can get. He admitted to this, said he was a business man in the USA and that’s how business works. Now he said he’s a politician and that he knows the loop-holes the ultra rich take advantage of and he would hope to close them if elected. I’m not a Trump supporter but this article stinks like that Fox debate where it was obvious the network had an agenda to oust Trump and push one of the other brands more to their liking. It’s called yellow journalism and it used to be illegal, now it’s not even frowned upon and often encouraged.

    • davidcayjohnston

Patrick Joseph, when labeled as opinion — as my column here is — there is nothing unethical or proper with writing opinion. Do you understand the difference between news and opinion? Do you know what the Op-Ed page is in a newspaper? I know many Americans do not and your post suggests you do not, Your understanding of history — “it used to be illegal”is completely wrong. I recommend you read the First Amendment and study the actual history of press freedom.

It sounded to my like you admitted being a Yellow Journalist. Nothing but a worthless paparazzi… an over opinionated one at that.

        • davidcayjohnston

GettingOlder58 That must be the reason my Pulitzer is for “penetrating and enterprising reporting that exposed loopholes and inequities in the U.S. tax code, which was instrumental in bringing about reforms.” Ah those hundreds of billions of dollars of tax dodges my work shut down, the Presidential policy changes, the laws passed by Congress, legislatures and city councils….just worthless.

          • GettingOlder58

Yep… you left off POMPOUS ass too.

  • Hillary

What a lame hit piece article, “why did you use concrete to build Trump Tower instead of steel girders?” Answer, concrete construction is superior. This is a ridiculous hit piece. As far as “S&A Concrete ” is concerned they did all the large concrete jobs in NY. It’s up to NYC to monitor their activities. Maybe you should direct questions to former NYC Atty Generals…

My husband worked in nyc construction for 30 years as a worker in concrete construction and his friends said that Trump was a good employer, paid prevailing wages, supported trade unions in NYC as opposed to using scab labor, etc. All concrete construction of large projects used S&A back then. It was the way things were done back then. Why would a developer want to use a mobbed up company when it would cost them more money while NYC did nothing about it. Nothing would have gotten built back then….blame the city. Giuliani went after the mafia. No one else did sh** about it as far as I know.

As far as Vera Coking in A.C. is concerned she was offered alot of money for her boarding house by Trump and other people which she refused. Her house was later condemned for containing asbestos. Her past tenants should sue her….

I wish my husband was around to write this response he knows much more than I do about nyc construction….

    • Mark T

      Bravo! Excellent post!

And yes, US Attorney Rudolph Guiliani, a REPUBLICAN, broke the mob in NY.

This is a hit piece by a leftist “journalist”, acting in an unofficial capacity for the Hillary Clinton campaign.

    • ✓Rex Manning

Says the wife of an ex construction worker. Maybe NASA should got space exploration advice from the widows or ex-friends of Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and John Glenn.

Get back to the bridge table, sweety. Gladys is missing her partner.

      • Nils Dacke

Just as a curiosity… what makes you the expert then? :))

    • Bruce

“I wish my husband was around to write this response”

So… you admit what you’re saying is stupid hearsay, but you still ran three paragraphs of it? Cool. Good job. Please stop talking out loud.

      • Nils Dacke

Just as a curiosity… what makes you the expert then? 🙂

    • John J Publicus

Honey, your husbands friends who said “he was a good employer” are a fantasy, just like you and your fake ass profile are fantasies. Foot soldiers for Trump, paid to post here and in a lot of other places.

What’s sad is the poor schmucks who buy this act….

    • John J Publicus

Btw, sweetheart, I actually DO have experience dealing with Trump and his organization and this article is FAR more accurate that any statement you’ve made here.

  • Edeltraud

Sounds like a shrewd business person to me — killer instinct to get things done. I wonder how that might work out on a larger scale…

    • joe schmo

Fantastic! He is very ingenious, smart and knows ‘the art of the deal.’ Organization my dear, organization……

  • Darth nataS

Well done, Mr. Trump. A man who knows how to get things done in the real world of business, while socialists try to block commerce at every turn. A tax break is not welfare from the taxpayers you moron. It’s HIS money HE earned, and HE DID build that.

    • FullAmericanPatriot

A tax break is stealing money from me and you. As corporate taxes for large companies/projects go down (as tax breaks) personal taxes go up (and those for small businesses). Are you stupid?

      • GettingOlder58

Play by the rules, get the benefit of the rules. Don’t play by the rules, get screwed. I suggest you learn to play by the rules… if you don’t know the rules, then study the LAW. IGNORANCE in your case must be bliss.

        • FullAmericanPatriot

Gotcha there boss. So, you suggest I buy myself a congessman?
If I DO KNOW the rules and I don’t like them, I work to change them.
God bless your tiny heart… and your soggy brain.

  • VincentTPackhorse

    22. You have half a brain. Where is the other half?

  • Gabriel A. King

What a bullshit hit piece. At least Trump isn’t FUNDING ISIS AND MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS… AND THE INVASION OF THE WEST BY MUSLIMS like your buddies Hillary and Obama !

    • Bruce

Oh cool it’s the type of impotent white guy who leaves 8,000 comments like these over three years thinking nobody can tell he’s slow.

      • Nils Dacke

And you are talking to yourself dude…

    • Bruce

Everything you’ve ever said out loud has been a waste of the other person’s time. You should apologize for that, Gabe.

      • Gabriel A. King

Why would I apologize to a pathetic mangina homosexual traitor like yourself ? You’re days are numbered bitch. Penalty for treason is DEATH, Article III, Section III

        • Bruce

What’s the penalty for never learning to read despite having had over 12 years of education? Oh, right, posting in comment sections for all eternity.

          • Beth

Isn’t it cool when these cult idiots show their true totalitarian colors? “Penalty for treason is death.” LOL! Yeah, it’s treason criticizing Dear Leader!
Move to North Korea, Gabriel. You should love it there. Perfect for you.

        • Bruce

Dawg, you had how long to learn third grade English? If you can’t figure out basic English, why rant about AMERICA on the internet?

          • Gabriel A. King

You don’t know English? Doesn’t surprise me as you hate white people anyways…. plenty of Muslim knob to blow out there so you better get busy on it. Maybe you could speak Arabic to them after they laugh jizzing on your stupid Libtard face ?

          • Bruce

Commas aren’t really optional. You failed. Then you failed to understand the description of you failing. Exponential fails.

          • Bruce

Those insults aren’t really powerful because they’re not realistic or accurate. You should figure out how to yell at people in a way that isn’t immediately dismissable if you’re going to do this shitty thing on the internet that you do.

          • Bruce

Right, so that’s a cool non sequitur fantasy insult but it still doesn’t address how you aren’t entirely literate. Or maybe it does…

          • WaveRunnerMN

Go balance your check book with Arabic numerals you dumb C

          • Gabriel A. King

Nice try but that was BEFORE Islam poisoned their societies compliments of Rome. Now they run around like raving animals all over Europe vandalizing, raping, demanding free stuff (very Liberal lol) and leaving garbage everywhere. Totally trashing the place with ZERO respect for the host culture.

          • unpleasantfacts478

Our numerals are closer to the Hindi numeral system, the system Muslims stole while spreading fascism and oppression to the east. Did you end your lie with liberal misogyny?

        • Bruce

At what point did you give up on learning to read and write and decide what you’ve got was good enough? Maybe feel embarrassed for writing misspelled rants online all day? No?

Illiterates have the most colorful insults.

    • martial

Oh, being connected to Fat Tony & Little Nicky is indeed a biggie. If you want to support an accessory to murder like Don Trompolo, that’s your right.

      • Gabriel A. King

You got some Muslim biggie in your butthole? Doesn’t surprise me….

        • martial

Would you vote for Donald Trump if you knew he had the best documented mob connections in history as respects presidential candidates?

          • Gabriel A. King

Gee where did you read that… RawStory? THE BLAZE ? lol

          • martial

ABC news for one place. A conservative journal called The Federalist for another. The list goes on & on. Open your eyes. Google “Trump Organized Crime”. When you start to look, you will find quite shocking stuff. The most corrupt governor was Rod Balogjevich, but that fellow never had connections with the mob. Your response is quite understandable because it is a very strong charge. For this reason, I tell you not to believe me, but to look into matters yourself. Ask yourself this before you look. “If a person claims to have a fabulous memory, like Donald Trump, what does it say about that person when he or she cannot recall things in a mob trial that everyone else would be able to recall?”

          • Gabriel A. King

            Dude.

ABC News IS a propaganda tentacle of the criminal establishment. You’re actually defending your thesis with the mainstream lamestream media ? LMAO. Priceless….

          • martial

The Federalist is not part of the general media.

          • Gabriel A. King

            Uh huh.

          • martial

            It’s conservative. It really is.

          • Billybob9

The problem in Chi=town isn’t always the Mob. Sometimes it’s a broader net of GYPSIES ~ the real deal ~ authentic Romany ~ just like Tony Rezko (little vinyard in Roma, their language), and even Blagojevich seems to be a slavicized Romany name.

That’s the secret of Obama’s connection to organized crime ~ he has Roma running interference for him, or he has foreign born Jews like the current mayor. Reminds me of the days when there were still Jewish mobsters in America ~ maybe there still are.

But when you tell me Blagojevich didn’t have mob ties, that means you are not speaking of the same Rod I am.

          • martial

You really are bizarre. As it happens, Trump actually has a Jewish mob connection named Felix Sater. Somehow, during the deposition, this man with a supposed photographic memory could not recall even meeting this person. Why are you justifying someone who pretty clearly committed perjury?

          • Billybob9

I have an almost perfect eidetic memory myself, and sometimes an image will escape me ~ too complex, and humans don’t have a really good compression routine.

So, how can I let that escape? Hmm ~ stuff happens. BTW, he has a Jewish son in law too.

          • martial

One does not forget major business associates. Sorry, that just won’t fly.

          • Billybob9

Yeah, you do ~ images are very complex. Your brain is very complex. Smudging occurs ~ your capacity to FIX a broken image is quite limited. Remember, way back in the day this capability was created your big thing was a top predator or two ~ maybe a shark ~ and all you needed was the OUTLINE of the shark and you were good to go.

We still use that system but have added to it about 78 points on a “face” that help us recall individuals.

But individuals are moveable ~ so you need more than one image ~

When it comes to a page you have read, that memory follows a different pathway ~ it’s a “picture” of sorts ~ you can portray it as that, but it’s also the text, and that’s one of these encrypted things…. you see both what it looks like and what it means.

          • martial

Not like that. Your defense of someone who pretty clearly committed perjury amuses.

          • Billybob9

Your lack of understanding of nearly perfect eidetic memory is frightening. How do you find your way to the toilet in the morning?

          • martial

All people will need to do is look at the relationship between Trump & Satir & see if they would have not remembered him. I’ll bet they would not have forgotten him.

          • martial

I wake up walk either around the bed to the right or directly behind the bed to the left & enter the common skin area, turn on the light, walk into the bathroom, & voila – there it is. Sometimes the wife is using the bathroom. In that case, I put my glasses on, walk out the bedroom into the kitchen, start the coffee going, go to the front door, pass the front door to reach the guest bathroom. Open the door, turn on the light & voila, there it is again.

You can find this on The Hill, 23 Nov 15, 8:26 pm:

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is not backing down from his claim that “thousands of people” in Arab communities in New Jersey were cheering on 9/11. Trump defended himself by telling an NBC News reporter that he has “the world’s greatest memory” and that everybody knows that.
If Don Trompolo can remember a single incident like that (most of us cannot really recall events with that degree of certainty) with such detail, he can assuredly remember persons of a vital nature in his own business.

          • Billybob9

That was why everybody else was able to find TV broadcasts from the 9/11 period that validated everything he said.

Remember, not everything happened ON 9/11. Much of the activity was 3 or even 4 weeks later ~

          • martial

Still does not excuse the memory failure at the mob deposition. Because you lack an argument against the 99% likelihood of perjury, you lose point.

          • Billybob9

Depositions are different. You only answer exactly what you can answer. If you have a “I think so and so” they’ll keep coming back at you until you say something you didnt’ imagine you’d say.

          • martial

Nope. You better believe you would answer “I remember X Jones” if he or she had that close an association with you.

          • Billybob9

            I don’t recall.

          • martial

You would not, however, say “I would not recognize his face”.

          • Billybob9

Trump’s speech patterns are not as sophisticated as my own.

          • martial

Perhaps not, but he still is, with 99% certainty, guilty of perjury.

          • Billybob9

It’s only perjury if you can prove it. And if you are up against a state of mind, or a recollection of memory, good luck.

          • martial

The strategy there, if the deposition is simply to acquire information is to say “Yes” “No” & “I don’t recall”; this limits your information to what is on a sheet of paper. Don Trompolo did not stick to that strategy.

          • Billybob9

The strategy is ALWAYS to force the other side to prove every claim or assertion, including A, AND & THE.

Besides, if I don’t recall, who can challenge my memory?

You will need to catch me on a roller rink after I’ve claimed I’m too injured to work.

          • martial

Ahem. You are not speaking truthfully about strategy for those who are being deposed, are you?

          • Billybob9

            Hmm ~ state or federal?

          • martial

Since we are dealing with State courts, it would be State.

          • Billybob9

Since Rubio, Clinton and Christie have ties of blood and marriage, what, pray tell, could you be talking about?

          • martial

What blood & marriage ties to the mob do Rubio, Clinton, & Christie have? More important, have any of those persons said “I do not remember” in mob depositions?

          • Billybob9

What? I went over it several times. Rubio’s sister married to a Genovese soldier (he has a drug dealing conviction) ~ supposedly out of the business these days, and Christie’s aunt married a Genovese soldier. Clinton’s step dad, Roger Clinton Sr. was a well to do Buick dealer who sold out, moved to Hot Springs, and got “involved” ~ most likely with the Murray group ~

We’ve been having a regular cluster of folks with close contact with organized crime.. running for office… I take it that the mob is concerned. BTW, even the worst mafioso have goodytwoshoes relatives ~

          • martial

None of these persons have business ties with the mob. As for relatives, that’s kind of irrelevant, especially if it is by marriage.

          • Billybob9

Look, I know these guys ~ worked with them for decades, even worked with the Mob’s “official/semiofficial” historian ~ and yeah, family counts. Used to carpool with Steven Gallo’s EX girlfriend ~ a dangerous situation.

That doesn’t mean everybody in the family is a criminal, but they are prone to NOT snitch on those who are.

You never saw Roger Clinton Jr. rat out his half brother Bill did you ~ except when Bill got tired of his coke head…..

          • martial

So you are in the pay of the mob, do favors for them, pay extra to get your job done, & in return, get special favors from them? Do you also say “I do not remember” in depositions?

          • Billybob9

Hardly in the pay of the mob ~ more like in the pay of the guys who catch them…. but we digress.

          • martial

Anyone who says “I don’t know” in a mob depo is an accomplice to murder.

          • martial

You are in their pay until proven otherwise. Why else would you discount Trump’s ACTS on the mob’s behalf?
Here’s Ezekiel 18, which shows your family argument is pretty worthless:

18 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “What do you people mean by quoting this proverb about the land of Israel:
            “‘The parents eat sour grapes,
and the children’s teeth are set on edge’?
3 “As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel. 4 For everyone belongs to me, the parent as well as the child—both alike belong to me. The one who sins is the one who will die.
5 “Suppose there is a righteous man
who does what is just and right.
6 He does not eat at the mountain shrines
or look to the idols of Israel.
He does not defile his neighbor’s wife
or have sexual relations with a woman during her period.
7 He does not oppress anyone,
but returns what he took in pledge for a loan.
            He does not commit robbery
but gives his food to the hungry
and provides clothing for the naked.
8 He does not lend to them at interest
or take a profit from them.
He withholds his hand from doing wrong
and judges fairly between two parties.
            9 He follows my decrees
            and faithfully keeps my laws.
            That man is righteous;
            he will surely live,
            declares the Sovereign Lord.
10 “Suppose he has a violent son, who sheds blood or does any of these other things[a] 11 (though the father has done none of them):
“He eats at the mountain shrines.
            He defiles his neighbor’s wife.
12 He oppresses the poor and needy.
            He commits robbery.
He does not return what he took in pledge.
            He looks to the idols.
            He does detestable things.
13 He lends at interest and takes a profit.
Will such a man live? He will not! Because he has done all these detestable things, he is to be put to death; his blood will be on his own head.
14 “But suppose this son has a son who sees all the sins his father commits, and though he sees them, he does not do such things:
15 “He does not eat at the mountain shrines
or look to the idols of Israel.
He does not defile his neighbor’s wife.
16 He does not oppress anyone
or require a pledge for a loan.
            He does not commit robbery
but gives his food to the hungry
and provides clothing for the naked.
17 He withholds his hand from mistreating the poor
and takes no interest or profit from them.
He keeps my laws and follows my decrees.
He will not die for his father’s sin; he will surely live. 18 But his father will die for his own sin, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother and did what was wrong among his people.
            __________

Donald Trump must suffer because of his acts, which benefited the mob. None of the others must suffer because their relatives were evil.

          • Billybob9

BTW, the deal with the Families in Manhattan was created by the City Council over many years. It finally took Rudolph Giuliani to run them out of the Fulton Fish Market and to bail on the trash hauling business, an old time mafia staple.

Donald Trump, and other builders, had no choice but to deal with mob dominated unions, and mob owned politicians.

          • martial

Everyone has the choice, when they are that rich, about becoming supporters of murder, inc. Given the choice between having my cash dripping with blood & earning considerably less by being, say, a judge like Trump’s sister, you can bet I would choose being a judge.

          • Billybob9

You wouldn’t like Trump as a judge.

      • Hillary the Talking Dog

Please, I worked in a construction union which was mob controlled, I never had mob ties. Also, now that the unions have been weakened the contractors are hiring illegal immigrants left and right and the American union workers are out of work, even after the unions took over 20% concessions. Is that better? The illegals are in the country illegally taking American jobs? That seems to be Obama’s master plan.

        • martial

Of course, you did not fork over any bucks to the mobsters or get sweetheart deals with them either. Tell us, pray tell, if you ever paid twice the market value to an entity owned by someone named “Fat Tony Salerno” or said “I do not recall” with respect to a mob deposition.

          • Billybob9

Bill Clinton’s step dad was top mob guy in Arkansas ~ although I think that was through the Murray clan (the Unione Corse, America’s original Mafia)

That means Hillary is literally MARRIED TO THE MOB.

Frankly, I think the families are worried so they’re sending out their goodytwoshoes relatives and inlaws to SAVE AMERICA.

They know poor, they’ve been in Sicilia and The Boot for hundreds of years, and that’s poor. This is rich and they don’t want it ruined by pukes.

          • martial

Prove your statement about Bill Clinton.

          • Billybob9

I really don’t need to. You Clintonistas all know Roger Clinton Sr ~

          • martial

Read Ezekiel 18. Then get back to me.

          • Billybob9

            Are you Jewish?

          • martial

            Yes. Why?

          • Billybob9

Your beliefs necessarily counsel how I would read Ezekiel 18 ~ so with that answer in mind I went to EZK18 and read through it.

It’s a change in the law (something Christians might not notice unless it was pointed out to them) ~ made it much more consistent with our own Constitution where it provides that the children will not suffer a loss of property due to the treason of the parent, etc.

The idea is fundamental. It’s been around a long time ~ and likely, for Christians, the source is Ezekial 18.

But I’ve been speaking of a GANG, so Roger Sr. and Roger Jr will certainly suffer for their own sins and crimes (which they did, sortof) but Bill had an interest at stake in that milieu. Ezekial 18 doesn’t get him off the hook ~

          • martial

Bill Clinton did not do any business with the mob. Don Trompolo did.

          • Billybob9

Bill always has an intermediary. He used Hillary for many years.

          • And what does that have to do with this article?

          • Billybob9

Somebody said he’d had dealings with the mob. So did others. That’s a logical point to make.

        • John J Publicus

This is right wing logic; Trump hired THOUSANDS of illegal workers and its OBAMA’S master plan to bring illegals into this country to take your job?

The problem isn’t that we don’t KNOW what a crooked their and liar Trump is, it’s that a certain segment of the population doesn’t care. It’s ALL about the anger and hate, nothing else….

    • hat579

What a wack job comment the country is falling for this kind of thinking ,believe me thankfully your conspiracy views based on right wing media
      are still a small minority.

  • Pedro_Gil

Who financed and how much did you get for writing this crap?

Why is it crap? Because you don’t want DT to have to answer questions? Too F’ing bad! He claimed to be an open book. Let’s see how open he really is.

      • Mike

Why did you have corn flakes for breakfast instead of a bagel? WHen you claimed you a bagel kind of guy?

  • Derigitable

Got your degree from a Cracked Jack box, I do believe.

  • TalkingDust

So..if Johnston’s so all that and a bag of chips able to bring down the Donald why isn’t he tapped for a moderator post so he can champion the Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama point of view.

Speaking of them, where’s his “21 Questions for Hillary Clinton” and “21 Questions for Barack Obama” articles? I want to read those, too.

Let’s see how unbiased and fair he is with them.

    • Hillary the Talking Dog

      Johnston is a hack.

  • twinxx

I’d like to know what happened to that team of investigators Trump said he had in Hawaii. Apparently they never returned. That Beach Bar bill must be Yuuuuuuuge!

    • notfamous

He always says, when asked about it now, “I don’t like to talk about that anymore.”

      So there. Stop asking.

  • Pedro_Gil

Trump’s opponent that can beat him in the presidential race hasn’t been born yet.

  • Ernie Zippreplat

All the more reason to vote for Trump. He always gets things done no matter the challenge!

    • DaughteroftheConfederacy

      Wow. Zombified you are.

  • wjr123

How about a cold eyed look at both Clinton and Obama? The former would be obvious and the latter has been avoided by guys like Johnston for eight or more years.

    • fitz71

The Clinton are about the most investigated people in American politics. And as GOP operative admitted, the Benghazi hearings are politically motivated, not based in fact.

  • Lee Spieckerman

Wow, pretty thin gruel. If #6 (“…Why did you use concrete instead of traditional steel girders?”) is indicative of the veracity and salience of your questions, the entire battery is laughable. There has long been a debate about the advantages of concrete versus steel for skyscraper construction. If anything, Trump was ahead of his time, as concrete is now the preferred construction method for residential highrises, especially in Manhattan. Cost is roughly the same. Concrete is inherently much more fire-resistant than steel. And RC tends to be preferable for residential structures like Trump Tower because it offers superior sound insulation and thinner floors. Also, design-to-build time is often much faster with RC (crucial given the need to begin accruing revenue from tenants ASAP for a high-leverage operator like Trump). Examination of buildings following earthquakes Los Angeles and San Francisco showed that the conventional wisdom that steel’s flexibility was an advantage was at least somewhat discredited; welds and joints in steel frames are susceptible to failing under the stress of an earthquake. Architect Frank Gehry elected to change his much-lauded IAC Tower in Manhattan from steel to RC. Finally, Freedom Tower, America’s tallest and most iconic building – and, probably, the world’s safest highrise – is reinforced concrete. I think that says it all. Is this all you got?

    • bird law

Did you happen to read what came directly after number 6? I’ll help you out: it’s number seven. I suggest you read that one. Also, number eight. It’s the one that comes after number seven.

      • Billybob9

Over the years I found myself involved on the fringe (bureaucratic stuff) of major NYC construction projects.

That was with the gub’mnt and you’d think they wouldn’t mess with them, but they do. I recall one project over about 2 million sq ft where the pilings went down so deep we had natural gas flowing up out of the New Jersey trench. That was THOUSANDS of feet of steel punched in by a NYC mob dominated construction firm ~ in the end we spent over $70 million building fan units under the building to get rid of the methane.

The pile driver operators could have told us eh!

Now, about Fat Tony and his concrete, who else you gonna’ call?

BTW, the Genovese mob family has a relationship to both Rubio and Christie ~ BLOOD TIES THROUGH MARRIAGE.

All I can say is it’s a big gang. Lots of marriages.

Somebody needs a much better list

    • Hillary the Talking Dog

I worked in NYC construction for over 35 years and I agree with every word you wrote.

    • Mo Shellshocker

It’s not that concrete is better or worse than steel; it dovetails into the question about the person / company who supplied all the concrete.

  • Ken
  • martial

Go for it. Don Trompolo is mob connected. Anyone who doubts this should google “Trump Organized Crime”. They’ll soon learn that this man’s cash is soaked in blood.

This is what is going on in NYC CONSTRUCTION since the Financial crisis in 2008 weakened the unions severely. Illegals are now being given the jobs and are paid in cash with no benefits. How is this helping the city when these people do not pay taxes and are the cause of many accidents due to having little or no training compared to American union construction workers. Which Trump did use union workers on his jobs. NYC is now a sanctuary city. It’s not good for the men who can’t find jobs in construction

      • Michael Guay

Not just in N.Y. Unions needing laborers and skilled workers to fill spots do hire illegals and keep them up until their probation period is about to expire then let them go to avoid paying benefits.

        • Hillary the Talking Dog

It is truly disgusting what is going on in NYC. My husband worked in a construction union for 30 years, retired after the financial crisis and now does bldg inspections. He sees what is going on daily but can’t do anything about it due to NYC being a sanctuary city. Illegals don’t pay taxes, they use fake social security numbers, fake OSHA cards etc. The illegals don’t follow directions, are illiterate and can’t even sign their names in many cases. It’s like a third world country in NYC now in the construction industry.

          • Michael Guay

HOW DO YOU FUNDAMENTALY CHANGE AERICAN CULTURE UNLESS YOU USE THE EDUCATION SYSTEM FOR THE YOUNG AND FLOOD WITH FOREIGNERS… OBAMA AND THE RADICAL LEFTWING… 100 YEARS OF PROGRESSIVES

  • Tom Fox

Please observe the trademark expression on Trump’s face in this photo. He has this ‘look’ of deep insight squinting his eyes and that copy write frown. This man is both a total fraud and mentally ill. He’s feeding off of the stupidity of the electorate the same way that Hitler and Mussolini did. Good luck USA, you need it.

    • dmac48

      Got that right.

  • Hand of Doom

If only the author of this piece went after Hillary Clinton and her scandals. Or Mrs. Bernie Sanders for bringing the Vermont College she worked at to the brink of bankruptcy and being forced to resign from their Board.

    • Roger Harshaw

It is illegal to hire undocumented workers. When we start fining employers or giving them jail time, then undocumented workers will not longer come to the USA, because they won’t be able to get jobs. We can use the trillion dollars that we would spend on a useless wall to rebuild our infrastructure.

  • RacerX1962

That’s it? those are the questions that are gonna bring down Trump? Please…

    • Julian Rogan

The truth Trump could eat babies and you would still have your tongue up his fundament.

      • RacerX1962

Sorry, but the vast majority of people are more concerned with securing the border, ending free trade and protecting the homeland. But keep voting for the same old career politicians and see what it gets you.

        • Nuvolari

It never ceases to amaze me the silly things people like Racer X1962 will come out in public and say when their agenda is more precious to them than reality.

          • RacerX1962

So it’s silly to say we should secure our borders? or put the American worker ahead of communist China? or to advocate for a non-interventionist FP except when our national security is at risk? If so, then be amazed…

          • Nuvolari

I’m amazed that the people who support Trump have any shreds of self-respect left, or that they can find their way home at night. The biggest puzzle is how those who support him can delude themselves into thinking that he doesn’t consider them losers – because if anyone in America is a loser, it’s a Trump supporter. They’re losers now, and they’ll be even bigger ones when he becomes Loser #1.

          • RacerX1962

“When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”
            ― Socrates

          • Nuvolari

            …says the guy who’s supporting the slanderer….i.e., the loser…

I love it when people quote someone wise in service of such dreck.

          • RacerX1962

Your insults only expose your inability to articulate a cogent argument…. Move along.

          • Nuvolari

“Move along” says the guy who’s supporting Trump…you want us to move along so we don’t add to your already overwhelming embarrassment. This is why all those mopes who support Trump constantly oink about being ignored…we were trying to be polite and not catalog all your shortcomings, all your mistakes and failures. If it would make you feel less ignored, we could go through the list – but it’ll take awhile…

          • RacerX1962

You have yet to make one intelligent point against voting for Trump… Instead, all you can do is toss around sophomoric insults. So again, if you can, try to piece together a rational position and I’ll gladly pick it apart. But if all you have is another insult, then fire away… it’ll only expose you for the empty suit you are.

          • Nuvolari

I don’t have to make any points against voting for Trump – there are no points to voting for him. The entirety of his life and being negates any reason for voting for him, and exposes as the ultimate “losers” any who would support him.

Why is it that when you call a moron a moron, the moron is far more worried that you called him a moron than he is worried that he is a moron?

Why am I asking a moron?

          • RacerX1962

So there, you’ve allowed me to make my point and displayed it for everyone to see… Okay, I’ve qued it up for you… What’s you next insult?

          • Nuvolari

Tough to talk with someone who views accurate descriptions as insults – but what a hoot that someone who supports Trump is so worried about others insulting someone – how lame, how typical, how Trumpian.

          • RacerX1962

So the only thing you could muster is a quote from an elitist? Nothing original? Perhaps you should learn to think for yourself instead of letting someone do it for you.

I’ve laid out quite succinctly the reasons I’m supporting Trump and all you can do is respond with insults and a quote from a Wall St globalist.

Obviously you do not possess the mental faculties sufficient to present a rational argument and to counter my support for him. So with that said, I dismiss you from any further discussion.

Continue if you like with more insults… but all you are doing is making yourself look like a fool.

          • Nuvolari

So the dingy tool who’s supporting the most elitist candidate in the race oinks when someone it calls an “elitist” mentions 3 or 4 of the 813 things that disqualify Trump from being President? Ha ha ha ha.

You dismissed yourself from connection to reality when you chose to support Trump – but please, continue to diddle yourself with supporting him, it will keep you off the streets and out of the way of normal, productive citizens.

          • Nuvolari

Seems Herr Combover didn’t want to disavow the KKK’s David Duke’s support yesterday until his staff explained that the blowback was too great to not to…and he admiringly quoted Mussolini, justifying it by saying to the questioner “Got your attention, didn’t it?”

Yep, he’s Presidential all right….President of the Loser’s Club. Show us your membership card, Racer…

          • Nuvolari

So, now Herr Combover is having his security detail attack credentialed photographers even when they’re doing nothing wrong.

All of a piece with his demonizing of the pool cameraman at his events. The rules for the pool camera are that it must always remain focused on the lectern/podium and record everything that is said from there – you are not to move focus off of that. Even though he knows this, Trump “commands” the pool cameraman to move the camera around to show the size of the crowds at his rallies – because for Herr Combover, size matters. He tells the pool cameraman over and over to turn around and show the crowd, and the pool cameraman doesn’t, because he’s not allowed to. And then Trump encourages the crowd to boo and hiss and be hateful towards the pool cameraman for doing his job.

You want to show me the big turd in your toilet and you think it’s going to make a great leader for this country, build a big wall, be hateful and mean-spirited towards people you’ve been told to not like…and all I see is a big turd.

          • Nuvolari

We’re going to need a word for Trump that is the male version of “skank”

          • Nuvolari

“Hell is a state where everyone is perpetually concerned for his own dignity and advancement and where everyone has a grievance.” C.S. Lewis

You can live in Hell if you want, but I’ll choose better.

          • Nuvolari

One of the 813 reasons to vote against Trump…his entire life is all about him. When choosing a President, any elected representative, it should be about us. He couldn’t care less about us…which is why it’s just so sad and hilarious at the same time that those who support him say they do because they’re tired of being ignored. He’s the candidate of the past 6,000 years who would ignore them the most…

          • Nuvolari

I can’t think of anything more insulting than being called a Trump supporter…although it’s much worse, of course, to actually be one.

Imagine…someone running for the most important elective office in the world, and he can’t even comb his own hair…or admit that he’s going bald.

          • Nuvolari

Here’s a great comment from Meg Whitman, former finance chairman for the Chris Christie campaign:

“Donald Trump is unfit to be president,” Ms. Whitman said. “He is a dishonest demagogue who plays to our worst fears. Trump would take America on a dangerous journey. Christie knows all that and indicated as much many times publicly. The governor is mistaken if he believes he can now count on my support, and I call on Christie’s donors and supporters to reject the governor and Donald Trump outright. I believe they will. For some of us, principle and country still matter.”

You, of course, while giving the Comb Over a pass on all his insults, are worried when someone accurately describes a Trump supporter.

I wish I could remember who it was – a reporter recently cataloged all of Trump’s insults that have been reported – all the different ones, not multiple reports of the same insult – and the list ran 33 pages…

          • Nuvolari

            So here’s the question…

Since you’ve been captured by Herr Combover’s insults, lies, and policy flip-flops, does he not like you, because he “doesn’t like people who’ve been captured”?

Or does he like you, because he “loves the poorly educated”?

          • Nuvolari

How droll… a Trump supporter calling anyone else an empty suit all the while bit ching about others calling names…

          • Nuvolari

Your support of Trump only exposes your inability to get up out of that painful crouch and re-connect with reality.

I’m going to move along now…I need to go take a big Trump before I shower…

          • Nuvolari

It’s always fascinating to me that the people Trump would call “losers” always seem more worried that someone has called them a name – an “idiot” for the sake of discussion – than they are worried about the fact that they are an idiot…

          • Peggy Peggysc57

What debate? When deceiving don challenged Sen. Cruz to a debate, “one on one, man to man ” deceiving don ran into hiding. Sen. Cruz called him out on it, set up a platform, and time. Deceiving don hid like the school yard bully he is. So, plz. Don’t talk debates when your guy is nothing but hot, stale, smelly air.

          • Justin B

Good lord. You can’t be this dense. It’s fine to say it. Arguably fine to believe it. Reasonable people disagree. The point is that Trump has not identified any sensible way of DOING it. Build tall wall and make Mexico pay. Absolutely asinine. Won’t happen, And if a tall wall was built, it would not secure our borders.

          • Steve Newton, CSC

The point you seem to be missing is that he has a pattern of having done those same things you oppose: hiring cheap foreign labor at the expense of American jobs, always relied on other peoples’ money, avoided a share of taxes, used power and influence to get his own way, regardless of ethics, pandered, everything he’s built has had to be redone, etc. Given your definition of insanity, does he not seem to qualify?

          • RacerX1962

He’s a business man… Given the rules, he did what any business man would do to stay competitive, and he built a successful empire as a result. But at least he’s willing to change the rules such that they favor everyone and not just the giant multi-national corporations. But it’s not as much about what he’s done in the past as it is about what he plans to do in the future. He’s articulated quite clearly that the rules will change if he’s elected. But if you want the rules to stay the same as they have for the last 40 years, then keep voting the same way by sending bought and sold politicians to DC.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

His “solutions” are more government. Yeah, that’s always a good idea!! I haven’t heard him even once talk about a constitutional solution. More government is what got us here. And you’re going to be voting for it, whether you want to believe that or not.

        • Julian Rogan

I am not arguing with what you say. What I am saying is do you really think Trump could deliver what he says when it has been proven (at least to rational people) time and time again that he is a liar and braggart. If you think about it, he is the worst form of politician . He is saying exactly what you want to hear.

          • Justin B

Right. He’s just saying it louder and with more swagger than the ‘career’ politicians. His skills have been honed through years of reality tv and a Reality TV life.

          • RacerX1962

No other candidate is running on Trump’s platform. Bernie is against the disastrous free trade deals, but he’s for open borders… Hillary is just a Wall St sell out and will do whatever she has to do to keep the money flowing to her, Bill and Chelsea… And the rest of the GOP field are owned by their donors and will continue with the status quo of jobs outsourcing, globalism and war mongering. Perhaps you should do a little more research instead of letting the media frame the conversation.

          • Nuvolari

Why would someone do a comb-over on a dildo?

          • Justin B

I can’t talk to you anymore. The platform is IRRELEVANT. It could be the best positions in the world. He hasn’t articulated any sensible way of making any of the objectives happen. The inability of you and too many other Americans to see this is why the country is in the shitter. If Trump wins the presidency, you WILL see. But by then it will be too late.

          • RacerX1962

I don’t think it’s insensible to secure our border… and to get Mexico to pay for it via renegotiating our trade agreements with them. And speaking of trade, I don’t think it’s insensible to renegotiate trade deals with countries who pay slave labor, have no child labor laws, no OSHA, no EEOC, no EPA and who manipulate their currency. And lastly, I think it IS insensible to provoke or confront a nuclear powered Russia in their sphere of influence. As for banning all muslims, I don’t agree with that… I do understand the motivation though; but on that issue, I think he’s just pandering to the base. So most of his solutions are sensible if you’d just get over the personality. (c&p’d)

          • Justin B

I disagree. In most cases, he has only articulated objectives and no mechanism for achieving them. In the few cases where he’s laid out a plan, I don’t see much likelihood of it working or achieving the goal. Further discussion will be of no use. You and i are not going to agree on this..,

          • RacerX1962

You do know what the definition of insanity is? You know… doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. So keep voting for the career politicians…

          • Rockpruf

Trump does exactly what you oppose, in terms of degrading US interests for his own gains, as several other American companies. He basically took the visceral fears of the populace and built a demagogue strategy to make you believe he cares, although it’s obvious through his irresponsible and cavalier treatment of employees and investors that his only passion is manipulating the unwashed masses. Literally -if you had won the $1 bln lotto- he would have sold you that bridge; if the stakes were not so high, the entertainment could not be beat.

          • RacerX1962

Your argument is empty and without merit or proof. Run along now…

          • Peggy Peggysc57

Deceiving don can’t articulate even if it’s on a teleprompter. Then it just sounds fake, bc it is. And, he won’t win.

          • Roger Harshaw

Bernie is not for open borders. He also is against H1B visa programs that allow foreign workers to come to the USA and take American jobs.

          • RacerX1962

I like Bernie… but he’s weak on immigration. Besides, the majority of the Dems are not that bright and will nominate Hillary instead.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

You’re full of it if you think deceiving don isn’t owned! Of course he is! How the hell do you think he’s gotten this far? Good grief. That’s just ridiculous.

          • RacerX1962

It’s that his positions align more with my beliefs… There is NO other candidate that is running on a platform of securing the border, renegotiating the suicidal trade deals and protecting the homeland. Whether he can deliver remains to be seen. But I sure as hell won’t be voting for a candidate that is for open borders, is pro globalism and is for more military intervention, i.e. confronting Russia in Syria or Ukraine. Trump is far from perfect, but you must admit that he is more accomplished than anyone else running. Again, if you think a career politician who’s never had any executive experience is better suited to set the agenda for the world’s largest economy, then, with all due respect, you are a fool. We’ve tried that over and over and over… Trump’s time has come.

          • Julian Rogan

with respect, you sound like a true believer who will not see the truth or who does not recognise it when its pushed in his face. Trump is a practised demagogue who is just reflecting you back at you. It is long past the time when America can bully the world. He will get nowhere with his bluster if elected. His personal history, if you bother to really look with open eyes, is peppered with lies, hypocrisy. His business acumen is not that great for all his bloviation. He may have a fortune but is not what the says it is. He is also a physical coward. If he tries to do half of the things he promises he will turn America into a police state. Maybe you want that. Most of us don’t. I don’t know whether you are a fool or not but it sure looks like you are.

          • RacerX1962

When Trump first announced his bid, I, like many, laughed. Most of what I knew about him was from his TV persona. And, admittedly, his persona was a circus act; hence my initial reaction. But after listening to his platform, I decided to give him a second look and actually research the man behind the persona. What I found was a man who, for all his faults, is a winner, a leader, a deal maker and someone who has a record of accomplishment. I would agree that much of what he says is over the top, but the core issues are the appeal. When compared to the rest of the field in the GOP, no one else is close. Kasich has some appeal, but he’s a former Wall St banker and a free trader; there are no others. On the Democratic side, there is Sanders. He’s authentic and I really like him, as his platform has some of the same appeal as Trump’s. But he’s weak on immigration and he’ll be unable to overcome the moniker of socialist. As such Hillary will be the likely nominee. Her ties to Wall St and the millions she and Bill received from the banks, corporations and foreign governments, however, has tainted her and created a conflict of interest so great that it disqualifies her from ever becoming POTUS. She’s just too corrupt. If Kasich had the same platform and was willing to put the interests of America ahead of the campaign, then he would be my choice; but he doesn’t and he won’t. So that leaves Trump. I get that Trump’s bombastic style is a non-starter for many. I, too, often cringe at some of his comments; but it’s his platform that’s obviously resonating with the country. And why? Because we’re tired of the politicians selling us out… It’s that simple. As for the charges of racism and bigotry, Trump hasn’t said or done anything to substantiate those claims, IMO. While I understand this is an emotional subject, I’ve tried to be respectful and to keep the focus on the issues. For all the insults and charges, no one has been able to present a cogent argument against his platform or to offer up a candidate that has a better platform. Bottom line is: if you think that open borders, unfettered free trade and the political class is doing right by America, then vote for Rubio, Cruz or Hillary; but I’d seriously question who the fool is.

          • Julian Rogan

Suprisingly I agree with much of what you say. Not about Trump I mean but the rest. I too have researched Trump and have probably seen the same things you have and have come to exactly the opposite opinion. Many of the commentators I respect, wait a minute, all of the commentators I respect have the same opinion of Trump and its nothing to do with what they feel about open borders, free trade or the political class. They see him for what he is, a snake oil salesman and he is certainly selling to you. How can you see all his obvious flaws and disregard them because of what he says? Its a mystery to me but good luck to you. I would never say Trump would never win a popular vote as I have found it does not pay to underestimate the stupidity of the American voters.

          • RacerX1962

Again, it’s the platform. NO one else has claimed that they will even attempt to do what Donald says he will do. As for commentators, I prefer to develop my own opinions. You are spot on about the stupidity of the American voter… Just look at where Hillary is in the polls.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

She’s where she is because of deceiving don and his trumpeteers. He’s talked more trash about republicans than she has! And, the majority of trumpeteers are some of the most vile people I have ever come acroos. You seem to be in a minority, but, they are just pigs. And, deceiving don has given his blessing on that kind of behavior. So, that’s why hitlary will kick his butt; he’s too dense to know who to court to win. And, in all truthfulness, it’s probably too late. He’s insulted us, the base, from day one. He’s a con, a fraud, and a lying new York liberal.

          • Dan

There will always be idiots who fall for scam artists. It’s why the art of scamming still exists after centuries of lessons learned in how to spot them. As Trump himself has said, he could murder someone in broad daylight and his loyal cultists will still scream his name in rapture.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

Deceiving don is still a circus act. He can’t raise money because he’s the worse candidate. His campaign is bleeding staff AND voters. Yet, he doesn’t care. Ok. That’s fine. But, don’t whine and bit higher when he gets creamed because he’d rather have sanders voters instead of the 60% of Republicans that didn’t vote for him. It’s on him. Not us.

          • glennisw

If your beliefs are aligned with those of Mr. Trump, you are a monster of the first order and have nothing in common with American values.

          • RacerX1962

Thank you for your intelligent contribution to the discussion.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

Deceiving dons “positionx” are taken from others websites and/or think tanks. They are not original to him. He’s not conservat6. He’s barely republican. He had to go to the nra to get his 2nd amendment position. If he had any kind of core belief about gun ownership that wouldn’t have been necessary. But, he has no core belidf. It’s whatever gets him what he needs for the moment.

        • Justin B

All sound aims. But Trump has literally ZERO sound proposals for doing any of those things. His entire platform is rage and vitriol. You will see if he gets elected, that nothing good will happen on any of the fronts he is using to work populist America into a fervor. Trump is the opposite side of the Obama “Hope and Change” coin but will even less real ideas that make sense and are workable on how to accomplish any of the touted goals.

          • RacerX1962

It should be rage and vitriol… For nearly 50 years DC has become a cesspool of corruption whereby the monied interests have gamed the system. I’m willing, as is millions of other Americans, to give an accomplished business man who actually has a record of creating jobs and building companies the chance of running the country. The career politicians and first term senators had their shots and they blew it. Trumps central theme is focused on the 3 primary issues that align with my beliefs… It’s a platform that actually puts America first instead of the multinational corporations who own DC. None of the other candidates even come close. I’m aware that his bombastic style ruffles some feathers, but so be it… I’m more concerned with the issues than I am personality.

          • Justin B

You’re missing the point. The point is that he may have flagged issues of concern (albeit by appealing to humanity’s basest elements in the process) but he has not even come close to identifying sensible solutions. He is a house built of sand.

          • RacerX1962

Oh I get the point… the media has labeled him a bigot, a misogynist, a bully, a narcissist… and malleable minds believe it.

          • robinlandseadel

Anyone who is supported by the KKK is a Bigot. The end.

          • RacerX1962

When all else fails, pull out the race card.

          • glennisw

No, his own words and his own record have labelled him a bigot.

          • zzz05

so what you believe, trump believes, what you don’t believe, he’s just pandering to the base. whereas the base believes that he’s just pandering to them, because he really believes what you believe.
            good thinking.

          • zzz05

trump’s the guy who sees the parade heading down main street, takes a shortcut to get ahead of them, and shouts “Keep following me everybody!”

          • robinlandseadel

Trump’s three issues are “ME! ME! ME!” He has no other issues. If he could make 45¢ by killing you, he would.

          • RacerX1962

If you can present a rational argument, I’ll respond.

          • zzz05

yeah, quoting trump campaign speeches is never going to present a rational argument.

          • Terry Utterback

That’s good. Remember he said he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and he wouldn’t lose any voters – he just can’t lose he said – they love me – and he loves them even the uneducated.

          • Ocho

“For nearly 50 years DC has become a cesspool of corruption whereby the monied interests have gamed the system.” And voting in someone who is even more corrupt than that is the key to ending that corruption? Hahaha! O.K. Sure. That makes sense.

          • RacerX1962

You must be confused… I’m not supporting Hillary.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

No, but you are voting for her contributor and cheerleader.

          • jhannon

Did you read the article? The thing is…..he’s not an accomplished businessman.

          • RacerX1962

So I guess the billions just appeared out of thin air…

          • zzz05

well, yeah. like his billionaire tax returns, thin air.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

We only have his words on his worth. He’s called deceiving don for a reason.

          • Terry Utterback

You are blinded by Trump and his bombastic speeches to a largely uneducated fan base. Did you even read the investigations about his empire building? These are very enlightening about Trump’s so called associations with the mob and his importation of foreign workers instead of hiring Americans to work on his big building projects. You say “none of the other candidates” come close to talking about your issues. Bernie Sanders is the only candidate who has spent his life and his career doing just that.

          • RacerX1962

I like Bernie, but he’s getting annihilated by one of the most corrupt politicians in history. Unfortunately, Hillary’s going to be the dem nominee. So you can either go with a Wall St sell out who will continue to sell out the country or a candidate that has professed to stand up for the American worker. Even you admitted that Sanders and Trump share some of the same issues. As far as Trump’s mob associations, they are without merit and are unfounded; it’s yet another smear tactic in an attempt to derail his momentum. Obviously Trump is not the perfect candidate, but I believe he’s gonna put America first. As such, he’s ruffled the feathers of the establishment who are owned by the monied interest. That’s why so many from so many backgrounds, not just the “largely uneducated fan base”, are supporting him. We’re done listening to the empty promises of career politicians; we’re done with the suicidal trade deals that enrich Wall St but kill Main St; we’re done with open borders that allow drugs, crime and cheap labor to infiltrate us; we’re done with war mongerers who create more enemies than they destroy… in short, we’re done with DC politicians that are beholden to the special interests. We want an outsider… one who’s accomplished, proven, strong minded and, yes, even bombastic. No more business as usual. Trump’s time has come.

          • zzz05

oops, corrupt hillary reference, everybody take a drink!

          • zzz05

where are all these happy workers for whom trump created those jobs? why aren’t they all appearing at his rallies and stuff? where are all the happy partners and investors who did not get stiffed when his projects went bankrupt? where are the civic leaders who want to tell us that they bet on trump to bring some life back to their dying city, and it paid off?
what evidence do you have for any of your beliefs other than trump telling you that if you elect him, things will be really great? he’s going to build a wall? and make the mexicans pay? and add a 45% tariff to chinese imports (like his clothing line) and 35% to mexican imports? you know who pays tariffs, right? the consumer, not the manufacturer. You know, like a tax, which Mr. Trump is going to lower all of ours, right?

        • JackLinks

Maybe you need to learn how to use Google! If you had used Google or knew how you would have found the following, in about 3 seconds!

          http://www.motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2016/02/raw-data-illegal-immigration-mexico

          • RacerX1962

Hmmm… So there are no more illegals crossing the border? No more drugs coming in? I guess we can do away with all the INS agents then since we don’t have a problem. No need for sanctuary cities, no need to educate illegals, no need to provide food stamps, welfare or healthcare either. Jeez, thank you for your contribution to the discussion.

          • JackLinks

Just the type of answer I expected from uneducated or poorly educated rube!
Just think if you knew how to Google or even had Google you could find out what a rube is!

          • RacerX1962

I’ve got no problem providing help to US citizens who need it. And I agree that subsidies/cronyism for corporations must end. However, to suggest we have no border issue is just naive… that’s what I called you out on.

Of course, when you are called out, all you can do is resort to name calling. Typical..

          • JackLinks

            Question:
Who has deported more illegals, Bush or Obama?
A simple answer of it was Bush or it is Obama, will suffice!

          • RacerX1962

What does that matter… both Bush and Obama were utter failures at protecting the borders.

          • zzz05

not only has obama deported more people than any previous president, he’s deported almost as many people as all previous presidents combined.

          • Evan3457

As taxpayers cannot direct their tax money to individual parts of the government, all of these payments to various governmental programs would have to be proportional to the amount spent on them in the federal budget. The federal budget calls for spending roughly $550 billion on defense the next two years. In order to be spending $247.75 a year on defense and $4000 a year in corporate subsidies, the federal budget would have to spend nearly $9 trillion a year on corporate subsidies. As the entire budget is roughly $4 trillion a year, this is plainly impossible.

The chart is massively deceptive or outright lying.

          • RacerX1962
        • robinlandseadel

The vast majority of people want a more equitable distribution of wealth. And Trump is all about keeping it all for himself. Wake up, Trump doesn’t even bother with the Vaseline.

          • Hillary the Talking Dog

The vast majority of people want the borders controlled, fair trade deals and a decent paying job.

          • Ocho

And by what lunacy do you think Trump is going to do any of that?

Border control… to keep Mexicans inside the US? Last I checked, there were more emigrating than immigrating. Fair trade deals… you mean the deals that have brought millions in wealth and jobs to the US through trade, you want to get rid of them? And a decent paying job… you’re fighting for the wrong side if you want that, as your side is fighting more for income inequality and allowing big business to run amok.

Get an effing clue. Trump is as crooked a “politician” as they come, he doesn’t give a crap about the average American citizen. He’s just a tax-avoiding self-aggrandizing reality TV star. How deluded you must be to think he would make a decent President with all the facts laid before you. Must be a nice fantasy world you live in.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

Wish I could give a half thumbs up. I agree with you on deceiving don, but, there is no way the democrats would do anything positive for the American people.

          • jhannon

Maybe the Hillary the talking dog label leads some not to take you too seriously. Just a thought.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

Which will NOT happen with deceiving don. He’s on the same page as hitlary on almost everything, from abortion to taxes. So, good luck with that.

        • glennisw

But Trump isn’t going to do any of that. He’s lying to you.

          • RacerX1962

            We shall see…

          • Peggy Peggysc57

Yes, you will. He’s already said everything is negotiable, everything. And, if you think putting more tariffs in place is the answer, well, I hope you can afford to pay double for virtually everything. Deceiving Don is the turd throwing chimpanzee at the zoo; you’re so busy dodging crap you can’t hear what he’s actually saying.

        • Ah yes all the things that have been proven time and time again to destroy economies and effectively end functioning governments. You Trumpers need to pick up a history book, education failed you.

        • zzz05

well whatever the vast majority of people are concerned about, that’s trump’s number one concern, he’s certainly made that clear.

      • zzz05

trump could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and he wouldn’t lose voters.

        • Peggy Peggysc57

          Sad, isn’t it?

          • zzz05

well look on the bright side. he doesn’t say who he might shoot. might be himself. nonfatally of course.

          • Peggy Peggysc57

Then why bother? Get my hopes all up and dash them on the rocks!!!
Calm down, people! It’s just a little joke😆

and judging by so many of the comments below I’d have to say that America appears to have more minutes in every hour than most other countries….You’re all being conned!

    • Hillary the Talking Dog

We’ve been conned by Obama’s failed open borders policy.

      • jhannon

Open borders policy? What are you talking about? This administration has deported huge numbers of illegal entrants.

    • Peggy Peggysc57

      Not me.

  • gretchen

Your hit pieces will do nothing to derail Trump’s presidency! We are sick of politicians and have faith in a real businessman who knows how to get this country back on track. He has been talking about the issues for many years .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJ-RWM6mXfU

    • robinlandseadel

He’s a steaming bag of horseshit and lies. Like that Kool-aid, do you? You’re about to vote for a total fraud, you idiot.

    • glennisw

So you disregard truth about the celebrity con man who has duped you. There’s a sucker born every minute, isn’t there?

    • Dan

Newsflash- Trump is a politician. He has spent decades of his life deeply involved with politicians and politics. He just never ran for anything before. He is as connected and corrupted as any political leader can be.

    • jhannon

Did you actually read this article?

    • Terry Utterback

“A real businessman”????? You must be very young and naive or dumb. He doesn’t talk about anything else but making money at other people’s expense. He is a narcissist and a bully with no idea how to run anything – he is a danger to this country.

    • He’s a rich kid that worked with the mob to get a little richer. He literally could’ve just dumped the money daddy gave him in the S&P 500 and ended up exactly where he is at in terms of wealth. He’s no tycoon or great businessman, despite his narcissistic repetition of self congratulations.

Beyond that the guy has been a politician his entire life whether it’s mob deals or bank rolling the Clintons and others. It is truly sad that people think this guy is noble or that he’s going to better your life, he’s a con man who will strip you of your rights, take your money and then spit on you while you’re sitting on the curb broken and shattered.

    • zzz05

      heil!

    • Peggy Peggysc57

And, yet, you’re planning on voting for the worst of all. Deceiving don greased the palms of the so-called despised politicians. That’s called bribery, corruption, and crony capitalism. Everything the trumpeteers supposedly hate.

  • Anna Perenna
    • Hillary the Talking Dog

How about if we start enforcing the immigration laws in this country? Would that be too much to ask? Even the NY Times did an article about all of the construction accidents being caused by non union, untrained illegals being paid in cash. Our immigration policy is a total disaster! See above link to NY Times article ^^^

      • Tim Chiswell

I dont disagree. Do you really think though that Trump is the one to do this, given his documented history of using illegal Polish immigrants (without safety equipment) on his own construction sites?

        • Hillary the Talking Dog

I’m not sure if he actually hired the “Polish workers ” or if the contractor he hired subcontracted the job out to the person who hired them. in any case it happened once that I’m aware of over 35 years ago. My husband worked in NYC construction for over 30 years and Trump was known for using union construction workers. He actually had a good reputation in the construction industry. There is a video of his building in Chicago which was built about 7 years ago that was featured in a tv show, it’s on youtube: Trump Tower Chicago Ironworkers. You can easily find it on youtube. You can see it’s all union ironworkers on that job.

          • Hillary the Talking Dog

            https://youtu.be/7lYBNkoHZt4
            TRUMP TOWER CHICAGO Ironworkers

          • Tim Chiswell

It doesn’t help much if his contractors were responsible for the non-Union labour – since his main contractor on this (and other) buildings was S&A concrete – owned by the Genovese and Gambino families.

          • Hillary the Barking Dog

Just saw your post. My husband informed me that you could not put up a large building in the 1980’s without using a concrete company which had mob connections. That was the way it was back then. The mob infiltrates all kinds of businesses and also unions. My husband was in a trade union and everyone knew about the connections. The workers aren’t responsible for what goes on with the people running the union. Rudy Guiliani went after the mafia members in the eighties.

  • Hillary the Talking Dog

    http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/11/27/nyregion/rise-in-new-york-construction-deaths-strikes-the-poor-and-undocumented.html?referer=&_r=3
And this is what Obama’s sanctuary city policy, no use of E-Verify, open borders policies have wrought, construction accidents galore, weakened construction unions, American workers can’t get jobs because illegals work for low wages, etc. I work in the industry I see what is going on daily. Obama, the Governor of NY and the Mayor of NYC Bill Deblasio ignore what is going on and Deblasio wants to raise fines on site safety managers. How about reinforcing our immigration laws? These illegals are untrained, don’t speak English and don’t follow directions, they use Fake OSHA cards and fake social security numbers and do not pay taxes. They use our ER’S for their medical treatment and don’t pay the hospital bill, they say to the American’s, “I no pay, you pay.”

    • jhannon

You have a problem with fines on site safety managers? And you work in the industry? Maybe you could report some of the companies that are hiring undocumented workers? Just a thought.

    • zzz05

“they use Fake OSHA cards and fake social security numbers and do not pay taxes”
that’s not how it works. you use a fake social security number, your taxes get withheld, and you don’t get them refunded.
you really think it’s easier to catch illegal immigrants and deport them than it is to catch the construction site managers who hire them and fine them?

  • Florian

These questions should be sent out to all the News Media and to the other candidates and to the moderators of the debates…we are getting ready to nominate a charlatan, a con man…and he has apparently conned millions … now it’s time to make the red haired, scowling, pudgy Humpty Dumpty fall…before it’s too late.

    • DebiTampaBay

I believe the news media already has this and more – but they are sitting on it until the general election.

Let me put on my Trump-zombie hat. Guuahhhh TRUMP! TRUUUUUUUMP!!!! TRUMP2016!!!! TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP!!!! AAAIIIEEE!!!!

There you go. Now you don’t have to read all the responses from the idiots who support Donald Trump. Their little pea brains would only smoke and melt if they tried to actually comprehend these facts. Their devotion to their demi-god can stand no questioning.

It’s a sad day. Democrat voters are already complete robots who do as their told. Now we know that 30% of Republican voters are equally as stupid. It’s a tiny percentage of people who can actually use their brains.

    • Lee O. Welter

Thomas Jefferson warned: a poorly educated society will not remain free. We have been heading that direction for more than a century. This is why politicians maintain a K-12 school monopoly.

“Democrat voters are already complete robots who do as their told. ”
yeah, it’s not like some independent governor who calls himself a socialist could come out of nowhere and have a bunch of democrat voters decide to back him instead of the most favored candidate of the party elite or anything..

    • Snr Capon

You have to chose Trump and Hillary and you get to support Hillary?
If I were american I would simply not vote. Both are disgusting. At least Trump never created wars and is not responsible for hundred of deaths in middle east and he won’t create more conflict with Russia. As a European, I can tell you that Clinton means a freaking danger for everybody over here.

  • jhannon

    Excellent. Should be widely distributed.

    • NepotismIsDomesticTerrorism

      Should be. Correct.
      Won’t be. Sad, but true.

        Make Donald Drumpf again.

    • Snr Capon

My question is: why don’t media distribute the war crimes hillary is risponsible for in the world? and most of all, what she ‘s about to do when president?
If Trump is a liar, a cheater, a moron.
Hillary is a liar, a cheater, a dangerous psychopath who does have serious records of war crimes and hundreds of thousands of deaths on her conscience…

      Don’t know who’s worse.

To all Donald the Troll morons: illegal immigration is the least of your worries, but if you want to put a real dent it in then why doesn’t your demagogue talk about stiff fines, jailing, and closing down the U.S. companies that hire them? If Mexican aliens knew they wouldn’t get a job here because business owners had the fear of Uncle Sam put in them, a lot less would bother making the trip. No, because The Troll knows that cheap labor is where it’s at for the lowlives that hire them.

    You’ve been played for fools.

    • 123terrywbradley456

A Smith, Fox News knows of Trump’s dealings with the Mafia. I think that is one of their NY values. They call Sen Cruz a crook and Trump the victim because Sen Cruz is following the rules. Strange “fair and balanced” reporting don’t you think?

      • A. Smith

What I think is neither Trump nor Cruz should be allowed anywhere near a gov’t office building since they’re both raving lunatics. But they’re just part of the usual ploy to put up a few psychopaths on the GOP side like McCain/Palin and Mittens, to get the oligarchy candidates elected like Clinton and Obama, who were the default corporate choices all along.

If you’re listening to ANY of the mainstream media, Fox or otherwise, you’ve already lost your way.

  • [email protected]

You have to come up with something better than that. That condemnation is laughable when compared to the Clintons

    • Lee O. Welter

Are you implying that such a very low standard should be accepted or promoted?

    • Where in this article was anything mentioned about the Clintons? Thanks.

This article is about Trump, if you can point out how it has anything to do with Hillary, that’d be great. Example: explain to me how Trump’s real reason for using concrete in his building has any relation to the Clintons?

      • Peggy Peggysc57

Because that’s what he runs his mouth about. Everyone knows hitlary and slick willy are crooks and liars. Meanwhile, the media and deceiving don try to paint him as a blameless victim. That’s why.

    • bunker32792

Your comment is off-topic, which is actually against the Message Board rules.

It isn’t going to happen but Trump’s dealings with Mafia are well know by the news media, including Fox News, and should be exposed. Hannity and Fox News are only interested in Trump’s talking point that a plurality of Republican voters should determine the Republican nominee and not a majority of the delegates at the Convention. They accuse Sen Cruz of being a crook and Trump the victim. It makes one wonder if Fox News has a connection with the NY and NJ Mafia bosses. The “fair and balanced” cable news is up Trump’s rump so far that Trump needs to put a glass on his navel so they can see out. I would be willing to bet that Mussolini Trump’s dealings with the Mafia are going to remain secret to the public. Fox News would rather attack a Constitutional Christian conservative than investigate Trump who has been in bed with the Mafia for years. I suppose that is another one of their NY values.

“Constitutional Christian conservative” — a special niche voter — the U.S. Constitution and conservatism never were on their radar until the 2008 Presidential election results. They were “nice people” albeit with antiquated social notions until they were urged to take offense at “that man”, who was “not like the rest of us”.

A GOP based upon the ideals of true conservatism is dead.

You can think so but there is true conservatism around. A president by necessity should be middle or close to middle of the road to govern over everyone. It’s the Congress that needs to be conservative to hand that president laws that make sense. To that end it’s time to clean house and vote in true conservatives to the House and Senate and get this recovery started.

There are no “true conservatives”…just a bunch of hucksters dialing for dollars. GOP…RIP.

I could answer most of these questions myself. First of all mostly you rely on gossip and rumor for your summations. In other cases you describe common business practices that any intelligent businessman would avail himself of. While still other seem to make implications that don’t make sense. Lastly if this is the best “dirt” you can dig up on Donald Trump then beating Hillary Clinton will be a breeze. Remember it’s not Donald vs. All of those on the Fortune 500 list above him, it’s Donald Trump vs. Someone who isn’t on the list at all.
