This can be the death of CSGO, a lot of their tournament viewership comes from the betting scene, if they shut down betting sites like csgolounge their tournaments will loose a huge amount of viewership, and the people watching for case drops will diminish since the market will crash and the cases wont be worth nearly as much. All the sites with skins left will sell them crashing market prices, and if they ban sites like OPskins from continuing the prices will crash even more.

I get the concern but I don't understand why everyone is pretending that the game can't survive without the betting scene. CS 1.6 lasted for about 13 years in the traditional sense. Back before Twitch, back before Own3d.tv, back when people would just hit up demos and watch them, like some of us still do now. Why couldn't CS:GO survive without it?

The game will survive, there will still be a competitive scene but it wont be nearly as big as it is now, skins is what attracted a lot of people, cod players came over thinking they can make easy money, but skins is what keeps the majority of people here. But compared to most modern games csgo is lackluster, when games like BF1 comes out a lot of people will transition to those games since they are new and better.
