Hello Everyone! This is the evil stalker. While I welcome your willingness to protect someone who is asking for help you are forgetting that this is a forum and anyone can just post anything, so I feel it's fair if you listen to my side of the story first before making a judgement. I have never been part of the guild of this person or anything else for that matter. I noticed him for the first time between the Christmas event 2014 and .. it may have been the New Year's event since I remember we were in Divinity's Reach.. However the person was always asking for items in a similar manner: "I just need XX more of <random T6 Material> to finish my Legendary please help me to finish!" At that point I started to call him out on this bullshit especially since it was obvious that this was a new account (remember the 75% discount for GW2 that they gave before HoT came?) with merely 200AP obviously only used for begging. The begging went on with various female names which apparently helps to bait naive men to hand over their items to the Damsel in Distress. The thing went on even until today when he made this thread and someone on GW2 pointed me to it.

So talk is cheap so why would you believe me? My "victim" said several times in map chat that I had been stalking "her" for 2 hours now - then someone who had seen the public fighting pointed me to this thread which then popped up. Quite a coincedence. Not that it's a great difference for such a long time.

While that is interesting circumstantial evidence, it's not proof that the two people are the same. However it is proof that you are stalking someone rather than reporting a situation and letting ANet handle it.

Probably not important, but I have seen that exact message of begging for T6 blood and scales before, was either LA or South sun.

Officer from the Guild Wars 2 Girls Facebook guild and member of the group here. The person in the screenshots is notorious for begging for Legendary Materials. This same topic circulated through the GW2G group some time ago. I immediately recognized that username.

I do agree that this doesn't necessarily mean that the OP and the scammer are the same person, not without definite proof.

EDIT: Found a relevant screenshot. I wish there was a way to tell how old it was, or a better time stamp. Best I can figure it was right around the time that the Dwayna weapon set came out because I just changed my guardian's appearance to match. http://imgur.com/ahL2Yhd

Could you explain the link between the OP and this person you are talking about? I can certainly believe there are people out there who pull this stunt (I've seen it before), but I'm not sure what is pointing OP to be this person, specially when they never accused Dakeru of being such stalker.

I suppose I should clarify. The person in Dakeru's screenshots is a scammer. I've encountered them myself. But you are correct, that it's not necessarily proof that the OP and the person in the screenshots are the same person. Right now it's a "their word against yours."

That's a big stretch, and even if it was true the stories don't match. The ONLY link I've seen in this thread is that a random poster asked if it was Dakeru. I've seen zero evidence that OP accused Dakeru or they are the one who Dakeru is after.

Welp after seeing the Pictures and Watching my wife make a new account and then myself making a new account I can say this, you dont stay at 234 AP for more than 5min. Upvote b.c people need to see this.

EDIT: I upvoted to people can see, I never take sides to stories, I KNOW anet can read chat logs and they will figure it out, but I just to make sure others see another side as well.

Someone making critical remarks about gw2 on Reddit does not make them a sack of shit. And those remarks aren't even that critical. I've seen posts that far exceed the mild criticisms shown there.

I don't exactly agree or disagree with you, look at it this way: if person A was on the streets claiming he needs money for his mother's cancer treatment, and person B knew he was full of shit, so he would go to every street that person A goes to and tells people not to fall for it - who do you side?

I personally don't know. I am leaning towards saying person B is right but shouldn't be encouraged to continue doing that, but at the same time are we okay with letting person A continue such schemes indefinitely? There's no telling when a stop will come.

I think this deserves more upvotes so people can see both sides of the issue. However, even if you're completely correct about everything you've said, and that's by no means assured, I don't think you're in the right. Calling out a scammer in map chat is one thing, but following them and harassing them on every map is just taking it too far.

It's not harassment if he's simply pointing out that they've been begging and using the same lines for years. Following them around is a bit much for me personally, but if I were insulted by the scammer the way this guy was maybe I'd not mind spending a bit of time in my day to make the scammer less profitable

I don't know who you are, but you're not my evil stalker! Anyone who added me would know I have a little more than 200 AP. You don't sound like a very nice guy though, I understand you might be frustrated by someone breaking the rules, but for those of us who have experienced actual stalking it's a little close to the bone.

Erm... nope? She's confirming that this "Dakeru" is stalking some other girl who may or may not have actually been scamming people. My stalker is a different person with a different name, which I'm not going to post on here because I don't want my thread to be deleted.
