Are fans expecting too much from Shaw this season? (self.reddevils)

I keep seeing a lot of fans say that "Shaw is going to be better than ever this season", things of that nature. I just hope that if he isn't as good (which is to be expecting coming back from such an injury) that he doesn't get shit from the fans.

He's 21. That injury is long forgotten by now with world class rehab and a 21 yr old body. I have high hopes.

I figure it'll go like this: Jose takes a look at him in training, if Luke doesn't seem up to being our first choice LB all season we'll bring in a replacement. It's logical, and it's comforting. LVG would have said "fine, good, he shall play every game" and if the kid wasn't performing he'd still play every fucking game.

That's expectations. In terms of hopes? Luke succeeding would be second only to Rashford succeeding in bringing me run-down-the-street-shirtless levels of pleasure.
