Meme It is a fun party game for people who like Memes, and hilarious laughs! Create the funniest Memes to win!
About this project
Meme it is a simple game with one goal; make the most hilarious memes! Each round there will be a judge, they will draw a card and it is the job of the other players to caption that card. Once each player has captioned the card, the judge will take each answer and pick a winner! The player declared the winner will earn a point, then the judge role will shift to the player to the left! Rinse and repeat. Super fun, simple, and hilarious!
Each edition of Meme It will include a certain number of the following:
Picture cards- These are the cards that have a funny picture on them that you must caption. Each card will have a black boarder to make the picture pop! Each card will have a back that matches each edition so they are all playable together if you decide to get the other editions later on.
Pencils- These are your standard pencils that you would find in any normal board game. The number of pencils that come in each game will state how many players are recommended. However if you have any extra writing utensils you can have as many players play as you like!
Answer sheets- These are sheets of paper that have cut marks on them. They will each contain at least 30 or so slips. These slips will be what you write your captions on when you hand them into the judge. We can order you more answer sheets for your edition if you would like! Message me for prices for extra answer sheets.
Meme It Mini: This edition of the game is the affordable pack. This will come with 40 picture cards, 4 pencils, and 5 sheets of answer papers. We wanted to give our backers the option of getting a smaller edition in case they had little money to spend. While this game doesn't have all the original cards it still has enough for some great times!
Meme It Regular: This edition is the regular edition of the game with all the original content. This will come with 100 picture cards, 8 pencils, and 10 sheets of answer papers. We will have an early bird for this edition which includes nothing extra just a cheaper version of the game if you can get it on time!
Meme It Mega: This edition is the big burrito! It has extra stuff to enhance your experience with the game! This will come with 150 cards, 12 pencils, and 15 answer papers. If you have a little extra money and have many friends then this is the edition for you! The extra 50 pictures are exclusive to this edition!
Meme It Colorized: This is Meme it Mega with an extra feature. You can customize the box to have it say your name plus you choose the color scheme for the box! It's your own personal edition of meme it! No two will be alike! You will be the talk of the town with your fancy box!
Meme It Me: This is the Meme It colorized with a special feature. You will get your own name printed in every single Meme It instruction booklet ever printed! You will have your name immortalized in the game forever! This is the ultimate reward!
Depending on the country you live in we will have different shipping prices. We are stationed in the US so anywhere outside the US will have different prices. The breakdown is below:
US- $5 Canada- $10 EU- $20 Australia- $25 Other- $20-$25
Shipping prices are a little insane right now and I understand that certain countries will have a bigger fee but I hope this doesn't sway anyone from this awesome game!
All production for the game will be completed in September so we should be able to get everyone their game in September. Anyone outside the US there is a small chance the game could arrive sometime in the beginning of October.
Meme It has been a concept me and a group of friends have had in the back of our minds for a few years now, but we didn't do anything about it until now! With all the media and social attention memes have gathered in the past few years it seems very fitting that Meme games should be on the rise! We decided to wait until now to launch our game because of several reasons. First, we wanted to gather more experience with Kickstarter so we launched our first game Insanity prior to this one. Second, we wanted to make sure our box and art was perfect! Lastly, we wanted to put as much love and attention into the game before we launched it! We did launch it about a month ago to see how it would do and thankfully it got a good amount of attention so we decided to pull it and perfect it before launching it! We can't wait to have everyone try this game out! I can promise this game will come with many laughs and side splitting humor! We hope you enjoy this game as much as we have!
Risks and challenges
So far Meme It has had its ups and downs. We have had a difficult time deciding what the box would look like because we wanted to give off the fun impression of the game while still keeping a clean slick look. We hope the final product is something everyone can agree looks awesome! The picture shown for the game could change but we are currently extremely happy with the way in looks. Another challenge has been making an antiquate video for Meme It. We want to show people how fun the game is but be informative at the same time! We hope the video gives enough detail and still brings people in and shows them that this game will be as fun as we say it is!
Finally, the risks associated with this game are few. We have experience with Kickstarter and shipping games to people! With our last game we learned all the ups and downs of getting people games on time, so we are a lot better with that field now.
Regardless of the risks and challenges we face making this game I still hope you decide to pledge to this game and get yourself a copy! We hope you have as much fun with the game as we have! Thanks so much for helping out with this project and bringing us one step closer to making this game!
