It sounds like the first Captain America film, if you replaced Cap with Thor.

To be fair, I think the first Captain America would be pretty terrible if he was replaced with Thor. Thor would be too overpowered compared to the combatants at the time.

Hopefully, they'll be smart enough to use Ares or another villain on Wonder Woman's level.

There's nothing wrong with an origin story. It's just annoying how often we've been retold the same ones (Batman, Spiderman, and, to an extent, Superman).

Ehh, this Supes was different from the rest because it was moody, which a lot of people didn't like.
