Youth, Academy & u21 Subreddit (self.reddevils)

Is there or is anyone willing to make a MUFC youth subreddit? Id like a place that had all sorts of highlights, news, profiles, showreels etc for the youngster at United.

We look to youth. That is our tradition.

I definitely think there is way too less talk about our academy on this subreddit even though it's such a big part of our club and I'm not talking about the City subreddit just wanking off the academy but we either need this new subreddit or more discussion on this sub.

I don't think that we should segregate it off to a new sub. The academy posts made here by you and the others are some of the best content. Spinning it off to a new sub will lead to lesser readership and make it hard for new people to join in.

However, I agree that other users need to contribute more academy content as well. I will try to make a post about our current academy structure soon. Maybe we should have weekly threads like FTF for our Academy - Academy Thursdays or something.

Once the season begins, we almost always have threads for the U21 games, and important U18 ones.

Would be awesome. We don't get MUTV in the States so it's harder to follow the younger teams than I would like (also don't want to be watching shady streams at work).

There isn't youth talk on here this sub!

This season I'm hoping we can have regular match threads and discussions about our youth teams and players.

I think until these gain more popularity a designated subreddit wont be needed

I agree. I don't think there should be a different subreddit. I get really excited about Academy news and articles, especially the youth profiles that you and u/GroteBergMan98 post. A biweekly discussion/post sounds awesome.

Might be in a minority, but I think there is a good amount of youth topics posted on here. I see a good number in /new even today. I'd subscribe to any new subreddit, but there are a few good youth watchers on here.

I've created one under /r/RedDevilsYouth

I'm very interested in the U21's and under categories so I feel I can make a great contribution to it as well.
